Game: When was the last time you...

A couple years ago I went to my school's drama performance. That counts, right? When was the last time you rode a B&M Floorless? -

Great layout idea! However, would this fit CP's price tag? Considering this is much longer than Griffon and Sheikra, it definitely isn't cheap. -
^I'm pretty sure it uses nylon/polyurethane wheels. I will admit that Medusa hauls through its layout, but if steel wheels ran on steel track, it would be LOUD. Speaking of loud, does Superman: Escape from Krypton run on steel wheels? Probably a stupid question, but seems possible because it is SO LOUD and can be heard from anywhere in the park.

TOP 5 B&M INVERTED COASTERS
thrillseeker4552 replied to CoasterExpert13's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've been on 4 B&M Inverts, so I'll rank them as such. 1. Banshee 2. Silver Bullet 3. Raptor 4. Batman clone (SFMM) Yes, I think Silver Bullet is underrated. -
Bash me all you want, but I love Goliath. It's tall, fast, SMOOTH, and fun! I don't give two craps that it doesn't have OMFG ejector air or a 110-degree first drop. I love it for what it is, and I'm gonna throw my hands up and have fun on it anyway. Isn't that what being an enthusiast is all about? Not every ride in the universe needs to kick your a$$, and that's perfectly okay--to have variety. Not to mention, it's the one of the few rides at the park that doesn't invert you 2380442 times, so it's refreshing to ride a fast, smooth coaster after riding rides like X2, Tatsu, TC, FT, etc.

Underrated Coasters?
thrillseeker4552 replied to Yero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Silver Bullet! I will agree that the drop is pathetic and the coaster itself is situated awkwardly at Knott's, but regardless of that the layout is VERY smooth, more intense than people make it out to be, and some unique elements most inverts don't have (over-banked curve notably) and a great finale! The corkscrew/airtime/corkscrew/helix combo flows perfectly and is very forceful and fun. Is it the best invert in the world? Absolutely not. Is it a forceless boring snooze-fest? No. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
thrillseeker4552 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The layout is VERY suitable for it. Mean Streak is more or less a mirror image of the original Texas Giant, and RMC did amazing things to that ride. Mean Streak could be as smooth as butter and trim-free and still be a pretty lame ride (especially in a park like Cedar Point with the bar set so high). The ride is screaming some type of RMC treatment. -
Lagoon Discussion Thread

Looks fantastic! I missed the ride opening by a week, but hopefully I'll be able to make it back up there soon. Lagoon definitely has a winner. -
I'm not totally sure where to put this thread, but it is VERY important for current RCT3 users (Mac)! The Mac App Store version of RCT3 just updated yesterday, and I was very excited that the game was receiving some attention. Boy am I wrong. This update deletes all custom scenery/rides/objects! Every CO, CFR, CTR, and CS you put in this game is deleted with this update. I am thoroughly disappointed, since I had several great parks with tons of custom content that will now crash the game when trying to be loaded due to lost files. It happened to me, and I know there are tons of RCT3 users out there, so I felt it was necessary to warn you that if you do not want all of your custom content deleted, DO NOT update the game!

The "perfect" roller coaster
thrillseeker4552 replied to LiftThrill's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
In my opinion, Maverick is very close to being considered a "perfect" roller coaster. It's one major flaw was fixed this year (the restraints), and the only other one I can think of is the immediate brakes after the launch, but it's still an amazing roller coaster with everything: extreme airtime, super-steep drop, "twisties", inversions, a launch, and a smooth ride. -

^The RipTide at Knott's has also been down for a very long time now. I wouldn't be surprised if both get removed in the near future. -

Nobody knows. The employees don't know. The people building it don't even know. I was there today, it looks ready to open, but it didn't open today. There's a few objects littering the midway and ride enclosure. They could be moved easily. It is suspected that the park won't announce its opening in advance. Again, we don't know that for sure. If it opens tomorrow, you'll hear about it, some of us from lagoonisfun will be there tomorrow just in case. I doubt it will open on a Sunday just because of the religious nature of the state, but I don't know that for sure either. I'd say if you don't hear about it opening tomorrow, if possible, wait until Monday. That way, if it should happen to open Monday, you'll get to ride it. Believe me, everybody wants to know, but nobody does. Sorry. By the way your post is worded, it sounds like you meant to quote another post, but regardless, thanks for the info. Turns out I'm heading to Lagoon tomorrow (Sunday), so if it doesn't open today I think I'm outta luck. There's a chance I could go again on Monday but that is extremely unlikely. -

It wouldn't surprise me if Cannibal did open this weekend. The temporary scaffolding that was above the tower exit has been taken down, everything that was in the station like tools, tables, chairs, etc. that aren't necessary for the ride have been taken out. When Lagoon opened Wicked, they didn't say anything about it. That is most likely how they're doing it again. Lagoonisfun.com is a very trustworthy site with a lot of information on Cannibal. If you need anymore info on Cannibal I recommend going over there. Thanks for the info. I really hope it does open, because it would make my visit even more better!! -

Does anybody know the possibility of Cannibal opening this weekend? I've read some stuff on Lagoon Is Fun (but who knows how accurate that is) saying it may open this weekend. Like I've said before, I'm going on Sunday or Monday and I'd love for Cannibal to be open since I almost never go to Lagoon. Either way, I'll have fun riding Wicked and a couple others for the first time as well. -

My family will be heading to Lagoon sometime next week (22nd or 23rd). I'm not going to get my hopes up about Cannibal being open, but it will still be nice to visit Lagoon since I haven't been in 8 years (still haven't been on Wicked).
