  1. Personally I'd detour to Kings Island between CP and Kennywood, but if those are your options I'd pick SFNE, mainly for Bizarro. It's also possible to fit Lake Compounce and Quassy in on the same day as well, well worth it for Boulder Dash and Wooden Warrior. But I'd suggest going Knoebels > SFNE > New York > SFGAdv to save some driving time.
  2. Manta (SW San Diego) Revolution or SooperDooperLooper?
  3. The trees around Grizzly and Demon probably absorb a lot of the noise, which is why those coasters haven't been an issue.
  4. Green Lantern (SFGAdv) Kings Island or Hersheypark?
  5. El Toro Skyrush or Gatekeeper?
  6. ^Disney had their Fantasy Faire and Magical Map shows open on time, although I guess those are more shows than rides. I'd like to find out what's holding up Undertow, of the aforementioned new additions it looked like the simplest installation (off-the-shelf, small footprint).
  7. SFOT Scream! or Riddler's Revenge?
  8. Fireworks Kong or Roar?
  9. Hopefully they will give it a refresh. Given the quality of everything else at the park, Europe In The Air really stands out as being below average.
  10. Coke Batman: The Ride (SFGAdv) or Batman: The Ride (SFMM)?
  11. Ticked all of these off in the last couple of months - except for Roller Soaker which is gone. Not sure how Verbolten or GhostRider made that list, but no matter. So I guess I need to add some rides: - Mystic Manor - Hair Raiser - Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey - Projekt Helix - Kumba - Gravity Max - Incredible Hulk - New Texas Giant - Gold Striker
  12. 5 Boomerangs: Knotts, SFDK, SFNE, Lake Compounce, Hersheypark 2 Invertigo: KI, Dorney Park Best ride was at KI, a couple of girls sitting opposite were freaking out the whole time.
  13. Orphan Rocker. Apparently the owners still plan to get it running at some point. Eventually. In the future.
  14. You haven't properly experienced Apollo's Chariot until you've been on it in the rain.
  15. Big year so far. Already visited: Movie World Sea World Wet 'n' Wild Disneyland/DCA Knotts SFDK CGA Luna Park NYC SFNE Quassy Lake Compounce Waldameer Cedar Point Kings Island Kennywood Knoebels Hersheypark Dorney Park SFA Kings Dominion BGW SFGAdv SFMM Universal Hollywood Planning to visit: Universal Singapore Hong Kong Disneyland Ocean Park and back to Sea World when their new coaster opens
  16. ^I don't think I've ever seen a test seat for an Arrow, their seats seem to be fairly generous. I did witness someone take the walk of shame on the Cedar Creek Mine Ride though, maybe that needs a test seat out front... Back row on Magnum has some awesome airtime, especially if your lapbar is a little loose!
  17. ^I like the idea of being able to reserve ride times on one or two rides I know would otherwise have a long wait (Toy Story, for example, or Space Mountain), but definitely prefer the spontaneity of working it out as I go. I'm sure Disney will work out the right mix between reserved riders and walk-ups, including all of the variables such as no-shows, average wait, GAC riders etc.
  18. Really hoping I can make the Scandi trip now - this thing looks stunning!
  19. You get back from a 6 week coaster trip and the first thing you do is start planning the next one... and the one after that...
  20. ^Of the ones I've been on, I liked it more than Nitro (smoother) but Diamondback gave a better overall ride. Still a fantastic coaster though!
  21. ^You sound similar in size to me, in the 'borderline but will fit' category - and I've been OK on 99% of the coasters I've tried (exceptions being Superman at SFA and Wicked Twister at CP). I haven't been to Universal Orlando but both of the coasters you've mentioned are B&Ms which have very similar seating on all of their rides. Based on my experience on other B&M coasters, in modified seating (look for the seats with two buckles) you will be fine, and in the regular seats you will probably be OK - ride op might have to give the OTSR a little shove but that's no biggie.
  22. Granted - you now get every day off work because you're fired! I wish there was at least one B&M coaster in Australia.
  23. ^I found it less forceful, more 'floaty'. ToT also has a deliberate shake before the drop which you don't get on the standard S&S or Intamin towers.
  24. Apollo's Chariot in the rain almost counts as a different credit. Go for it! (Just cover your eyes...)
