It seems to be just a bog standard mobile game. They are just using the name to attract more people to it. The title is simply a dumb marketing scheme. I thought I remembered Atari mentioning quite a while back that they'd be bringing the original RCT to mobile platforms but looks like this is what we got instead.

Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park Discussion Thread

Luckily it was only 15-20 feet so it sounds like he didn't fall from the very top of the ride. A fall like that may cause serious injuries but often isn't fatal. I hope the man is ok and that this wasn't a result of Mt. Olympus' shoddy operations and maintenance procedures that they are so well known for. -

Who will break 500 feet?
Zem replied to coasterlover420's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think it'd be cool if S&S added one of their launched coasters to the complex. It could start at another point in the resort center or park that it's built in and then launch straight out into a swooping fast turn that pulls up into a superman style vertical section up the side of the tower and then it could come back down backwards. -

I fail to see the difference then. I sidewinder afterall is literally just half a cobra roll. The best example I can think of are the rides like Poltergeist at SFFT. That inversion seems really similar to waht you are describing.

What's with the support connectors at the top of the inverted top hat supports? It doesn't seem like any more track or supports would be installed on that structure. -
That doesn't seem fun nor does it seem practical from an economic and feasibility standpoint. Presurized air helmets like fighter pilots wear would be more practicle than astronaut launch suits. Still, I could never see even a future park investing in anything like this. For the G-Forces affecting you body ones, the g-forces on roller coaster are very minimal and there isn't nearly enough sustained forces to the body that cause any internal damage or noticeable change in height. Some of the other ones so far are a bit too rediculous for my tastes so here are some more possible myths. I've heard mention before that rollercoasters are actually good for your health as your body releases doses of adrenaline during the ride. Not sure if there is any actual research into this but it would be interesting. Another one I've heard is that park employees occasionally go pick up loose change and money that accumulates under inversions on rides and treat it as a "tip" from the riders. Lastly, I'm not sure if this really fits but a friend of mine told me Disney World could actually power their park with nuclear energy if they wanted to without restrictions due to some strange clauses that makes the parks an independant city. I'm sure there are a ton of myths about Disney Parks though with all they've got going on. EDIT: While queuing once, I heard a chick say the vibrations on some coasters can do that.

Isn't that just a sidewinder with a drop after it?

I think you probably underestimate the amount of work that is probably piled on everyone to get this to where it is, and I'm assuming the design work started LONG before NL2 even came out. You're assuming that someone just output that image yesterday when it's very probably those images were created weeks if not months ago. I'm sure the goal of the park was to get something out to the public to give an idea of what the ride will look like, not which video game the ride was created in. I completely understand, it was just a minor point I wanted to bring up. I'd just like them to put out some higher res images in the new engine at some point along with maybe a POV. Can't wait for construction to start! -

Does it bother anyone else that the pictures aren't in No Limits 2? Looks like a great coaster but it wouldn't have taken long just to import it over for a nicer looking rendering. -
The twist at the bottom of the Iron Shark is really nice.

Anything like that is just superstition. In a situation like you mentioned it is purely just statistical probability. About 150,000 people die every day. Out of those circumstances it is extremely likely that some percentage of those people had near death experiences shortly before.

2060 although I'm taking it again this Spring and think I can do better. I tend to test really well although my grades aren't great cause I'm lazy when it comes to pointless busy work. What's yours?

I'll keep the game going and give a hint: This park is about 70 miles away from a Universal Studios. -

Where Are You Planning To Go In 2014?
Zem replied to azza29's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'll probably hit up SFOT and SFFT as per usual as well as my nearest parks the Pleasure Pier and Kemah Boardwalk. I should be going up to Austin quite a bit throughout the year as well for the X-Games, RTX, and The US Formula 1 Grand Prix.
