  1. At least no one said anything like Raptor or Millennium Force
  2. Rainbow Children Coaster @ Sun Park
  3. I love the extremely compact layout of the Boardwalk Bullet. Such a nice coaster in a really small footprint.
  4. I find racers like these can cater quite well to friends and family. I love going on these with some friends and racing them down (although typically one slide is typically faster than the others). Capacity shouldn't suffer too much either as onloading and offloading on these racers is quite quick while I've noticed it can take a bit more time on slides with large rafts.
  5. Pretty sure this will be a Zamperla. One of these: Ah that'd make sense too. Someone previously had mentioned that though so I assumed it was going to be a Vekoma.
  6. Any word on if this is one of the existing Vekoma Junior Coaster models or a custom one?
  7. A K'nex themed Euro Fighter would make sense. They could brand it after one of their sets.
  8. Mick Doohan's Motocoaster @ Dreamworld
  9. If you get to choose I hope there is a none option. I'm not a fan of the whole music on rides gimmick. It detracts from the whole experience rather than adding anything in my opinion.
  10. There were plans to make a 700ft coaster off the side of the Stratosphere. You could hardly call it a coaster though, it was more of a really tall drop ride that curved over the strip in a fishhook shape. I don't know the specifics, but I believe the city voted it down either because it was too loud, or it was an eyesore. There are pictures of it here... http://www.johnnyupsidedown.com/new2002.html We kinda have our answer now. In reply to an earlier post yeah the original concept was really ugly. I think it would be cool though if they could install a drop ride onto each of the three main supports. It could be like they did to Super Man Escape from Krypton and Kingda Ka.
  11. Tornado @ Särkänniemi Amusement Park
  12. We got a tiny bit down here in Houston too. It's certainly been an oddly cold year.
  13. This one is fitting: Quantum Leap @ Sochi Park Adventureland
  14. Nope. Get ready to hear Oh Canada. Also, I'm betting someone dies at these games due to poor planning/infrastructure. Highest odds are on a spectator, less odds on a journalist, long shot on an athlete. Well Shaun White bailed on snowboarding because the thought the run they were snowboarding on was unsafe. Athlete injury might be very likely. I can't wait to watch some curling
  15. Well you'll like the fact that the Russian F1 Grand Prix is being held at the same location in October I'm looking forward to the olympics but not them being in Russia with all the political, social, and economic unrest. Between the infrastruscture simply not being ready in time to all the anti gay laws, I really can't see things going too well.
  16. From the footage Robb showed, it seems Fun Spot has an interesting layout to the tracks even though the go karts aren't the fastest. Unless other parks have something interesting to offer I say get rid of them and use the space for something else. The go karts at Fiesta Texas seem to never be used and the track just takes up a bunch of space. They could really take out that old water ride and the go kart track to open up a lot more room for new attractions.
  17. I never ride the go karts at amusement parks. Often they seem slow and the tracks tend not to be very interesting. I love go karts but if I'm going to spend money on them I'm going to go to an actual go kart track. I tend to find there are often much better ways to spend time at a park and I don't feel I'm alone. I don't usually see the go karts at most parks being very crowded and at some they are just abondoned and never seem to even have operators.
