Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom Discussion Thread
Ape replied to BarryH's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Having not been to the parks since I was three I always assumed these parks were for kids and expect everything to be centered towards kids. With that said I am going in with low expectations and hoping to see my kids face light up like crazy and make the day worthwhile. -

Yeah This is all completely new to me. We are staying at Shades of Green which is real close to the park by the looks of the map. I didn't book the room so I am unsure if they have shuttles and where they drop off so I will have to look into that. -

Excellent thank you. We plan on being there early. Looks like the park is open 9-9 that day. I am hoping that despite being a Saturday that it will be pretty low crowds considering time of year and that on their schedule for tickets it is at the cheapest price for the year -

As I have mentioned before we are going to be making our first trip to Magic Kingdom. We will only be there one day Saturday Feb 11th. What I am here for is to asking if there are cheaper ways to get tickets outside of their website? Also any tips or tricks you might have to let me know about to get the most out of the day it would be appreciated. -

When we went in August they said the high would be 89. It was almost 100 that day with high humidity. I rode LR and Mystery mine before we left and that was it. -

yeah but they will stick to obscure records no one cares about. This will feature the most total degrees of banking over an entire coaster course. -

Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
Ape replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Kings Island sent out a survey and this one was very interesting to me and would make me happy if it went through. It was asking about the souvenir bottle and if the person would prefer to have a bottleless unlimited drink program similar to how the all season dining works, scan your pass get your drink in disposable cup instead of having to carry around the bottle all summer. I am fully on board with parks going to it being on the pass vs carrying a bottle. On of the pages from the survey. -

This day is mainly for my three year old. I am just hoping he gets to see and do the things he wants without obscene wait times. -

We are just doing one Saturday Feb 11th at Magic Kingdom before our cruise the next day. I am hoping it is not crowded but for some reason I have always had this fear that the park is always shoulder to shoulder and I do not want to be involved in that. -
Dolphin Discovery at Chankanaab was pretty good. There are different options available once there. I believe we did the push, pull, swim, plus manatees. It was one of the better dolphin swims we've done. Thank you for the response. Now i need to figure out if the minimum age requirement is just for the dolphin experience or what because I would like to bring my kids under 5 along and just have them hang out with a relative that's not doing the encounter and just let them play on the beach or something

Now how do I convince my work to send me to our Poland plant and let me take a detour to Energylandia? Also can I get one of these added to Kings Island? please and thank you. -

I would have shared your entertainment. I don't 'get' gliders. (though I don't like to ride the ones at Carowinds since they're in the kids area so as adults we don't want to take up 2 flyers on a low capacity ride). Otherwise it's not really worth wasting your time with them, especially stupid Larson models or models in kids areas marketed as kiddy rides. Thank you. -

I would have shared your entertainment. I don't 'get' gliders. They are fun and I enjoy them but it because a bit of an annoyance when you have 50 nerds waiting in the kiddie area for one ride when you're there with you kid. I get why people enjoy them but I enjoyed watching everyone cry -

I find it hilarious that happened because it has caused enthusiasts to cry so much. It also benefitted me because I didn't have to wait in a long line of nerds to take my 3 year old on the ride after that happened. -

so instead of thinking about it in a negative way like us not keeping up with times you could think of it as it is just much easier in our minds to wear that piece of paper around our arm then to worry about the phone all day. Parks are my break away from things and funny enough my job is to take care of my companies cell phones. I would rather put it away for the day and just enjoy my time and not make sure I have shorts with a zipper lol. -

Not everyone caries their phone to each ride in the park. I most of the time leave my phone in the car. At the very least if both my wife and I are there without the kids one of us leaves the phone behind and only carry the other for the babysitter to get a hold of us. -

Kings Island 1. Beast night ride 2. Banshee 3. The Bat 4. Diamondback (only if I ride in the backseat. I have realized I am not a big fan of these Hypers) 5. Beast day ride 6. Flight of Fear 7. Backlot Stunt Coaster 8. Vortex 9. Racer 10. Adventure Express 11. Firehawk 12. Invertigo -
I am currently at 136/142. This last little bit has been a grind. 10k eggs make me want to punch a baby. Just give me a freaking Lapras or Aerodactyl already dammit.
