From my understanding Lugia is a really tough catch. Our large group one day maybe one person from the group caught it after the raid. I don't have enough experience with zap just the little bit from friends and it seems to be 50/50 so far

Discord has worked best in my area no one uses the facebook apps. I also can be in downtown cincinnati in 3 minutes during lunch at work. Today i got on discord saw a couple of Zapdos raids going on downtown and headed that way. At lunch in a downtown setting is easy as can be people come in waves and usually have groups of 15-20. i am fortunate for my locations. Caught Zapdos on lunch first raid with him and first throw. now I just need Lugia. Best of luck to anyone trying for the legandarys.

It has always been that long of a walk. They had models and stuff from the movie as well as music playing while you walked. Instead of having switchbacks you had the one long walk. It did do a little bit of twisting and turning underneath the station but it was minimal and housed some props. -

Articuno was an easy catch but a hard take down for me. It took a minimum of 8 people to beat and all but one in my group caught it. Moltres is the opposite easy take down hard catch. I am 1-3 with that one. The tip we learned yesterday seemed to work for our group. On the first throw use a nanab berry it should break out but on the second throw use the golden and you should catch it. -

Always love my home park. Longest we waited yesterday for normal rides was 15 minutes Beast with the shutdown for fireworks was an hour but would have been 15 without the shutdown. We did both Mystic Timbers and Beast at night last night MT is overall my favorite at the park but I still cant bring myself to give it the nod over Beast at night, that could just be a nostalgia thing though. I am glad you guys enjoyed you time up here and it looks like you may have been there Monday as weather was absolutely perfect. -

Short trip report from a visit with my brother for the first time in years to Kings Island together. Ride everything that mattered within 4 hours. He screamed like a bitch it's been so long for him. I laughed. Still love Mystic Timbers Front row night rides on the Beast are still in a league of their own. Oo and I pointed in honor of A certain member here. I am but a novice. Once day I'll be one of the greats. -
Got Articuno yesterday it was easy with numbers ONLY try if you have 8+. Moltres was easy as well we had a lot of people so not sure of minimum but 8 is a good number to keep as minimum. Moltres flees quickly and moves a lot more. Out of our group of 12 only one person caught the first one we tried.

It looks like it was after the accident before they got the rest of the people off the ride. So officers would have been standing there to keep people back.

Planning a trip for Feb I can either do the 4th-8th or the 11th-15th i would prefer the second option but I was curious if anyone has experience going the week of the Daytona 500 and if the park gets crowded that week. We plan on doing three of the parks Magic Kingdom, animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. -

I have only got one ride on Lightning Rod. We were an hour and a half from the park on a family trip last year and we decided to make the drive to the park when we saw it was open. I rode 4 things that day. Stupid river battle with my son 2 times mystery mine one time and the ride on Lightning Rod. I know it's been frustrating for the park and suitors but this ride absolutely gets a pass for me. It doesn't matter how long it takes to get it running right it's absolutely worth the wait. That one ride was worth the price of admission I paid for all of us and we left early from the 105 degree heat. I wouldn't change a thing. If you are someone who is frustrated with it just keep trying trust me it is worth the wait for this coaster. -
I think this answers part of your qustion.

I was away on vacation when all of this went down so I know I am a little late to the discussion. I have watched the videos and read the reports. This is one of those accidents for me personally that leaves me questioning my own safety on rides yet I know statistically and logically nothing bad should happen to me while on a ride of any sort. Thoughts out to everyone involved and hope all those that survived pull through fully.

I did not like gatekeeper in the front seat. It felt like we were being held back the whole time whereas in the back left I believe we re rode that shit several times for that pull down the first drop. I doubt I venture back to the front seats again on that. -

Honestly I think you will be fine with FL+ as the majority of people that seem to visit Kings Island are season pass holders and we don't buy FL. -

I am not sure about fast lane but be prepared for massive crowds. last Saturday the parking lot was full and we didn't even bother going in. We went last night and the dry side of the park was surprisingly crowded with hour waits for Mystic Timbers and Diamondback. -

On the topic of unofficial gay day we ended up being there unknowingly years ago maybe 07. my best friend and i had been at the park since friday. We noticed Sunday was really crowded for some reason and noticed a lot of red. We put together what was going on and my buddy had worn red that day. we ended up leaving after only 3 or 4 rides just because we had been there long enough and it was packed. They had the dj booths going and on our wait for MF i have never heard so many people sing its raining men and free bird (this was odd to me at the time given the band) so loud outside of a concert. It was 11 am and in full party mode. It is something I surly will never forget. -

Mini trip report from my kid free visit to my home park with no pictures because I didn't have time for that sh*t. The park was empty with it being a Thursday and the threat of storms all evening. We got there at 4 and stayed until close finishing out the night on Mystic Timbers while the fireworks were going off. Things I saw of note a protein spill that went from the top of the exit of the Banshee station all the way down the steps and to the gift shop. Whoever this person was They packed in the food I have never seen so much puke. I also saw whom I believe to be a member of this forum that most recently on here made a processing in video for Cedar Point. I cannot remember his name but he was taking video and chatting with friends and as I am not overly awkward enthusiast I let this person be and enjoy their day. The longest we waited was 15 minutes for a front seat night ride on Beast yes that is how empty the park was and we timed it well enough to be the last train before they suspended operations for the fireworks. Very few if any elements on a coaster can match the Beasts double helix at night after all these years it still blows me away. I had a weird urge to take pictures and point at stuff while I was at the park but it never manifested. This was the first time I believe since 2014 where my wife and I got a legitimate day to enjoy the park kid free and because of that we appreciated every single thing we rode and had a blast. Even though we grew up with this park things felt fresh new and exciting to us. Mystic Timbers is still an incredible coaster I cant seem to get enough of it and outside of Beast night rides it is my favorite in the park. ride count: Banshee 2x The Bat origins show Delirium Adventure express Scrambler Bumper Cars Shake Rattle and roll Flight of fear Windseeker Backlot Stunt coaster The Beast ( night ride) Mystic Timbers 2x Diamondback 2x Race For Your Life Charlie Brown -

Finally getting an adult trip free of kids to the park. Leaving work at 2:30 to hopefully get a lot of rides in.
