DO NOT SKIP CEDAR DOWNS. it's awesome. (sheesh . . I'm with "Cedar Downs" at CP, like some are w/ the Pierogis at Knoebel's . . or others are with skyrides/flumes. ) I have been on it and I enjoy it but i am after the big coasters on the short trip. I will ride more next year.

I can live with that. Slightly bothered by Rougarou being closed as we haven't been on this version yet but I can live with missing it.

We would be more focused on the big rides. As long as all the main attractions are open I am cool with other rides being closed. We would probably do a haunt or two if there were low crowds and there on Friday.

The wife and I are getting platinum passes this year through Cedar Point. Through this we will get one visit this year. We are going to go in October. I have been to Cedar Point a bunch of times but never in October. I know to avoid saturday like the plague. My question is should we do Friday or Sunday? I am willing to do the short 6 hour day on friday if it is typically not crowded that day but I would prefer more time on Sunday.

Is Kings Island the only park not doing the pre K pass!?

I was focused on everything else and missed this. This coaster looks great. It is a bit of a haul for me but I really need to get out to the park.

Couldn't ask for more from the ride or the park. I browsed the comments of some of the announcements today including Cedar Point and oo boy is it a great source of entertainment. I am not a spoiled or all knowing enthusiast just some of the things on there had me cracking up at the lack of common sense. edit: also the characters lack of enthusiasm in the animation is entertaining to me

whether it is at a fair/carnival or a world class amusement/theme park what does it matter as long as the ride is fun?

Very crowded. If you plan on doing a lot in one day youll need freight and fast lane. Friday is the better day to go as well

My kid would lose his sh*t if we went back and River Battle was gone. Little dude still asks me to go back just to ride that damn thing and it was over a year ago.

Discord has been the best in my area especially the way they have things divided up. Say I want to go to downtown cincy I pull up raid spottings channel for that area where it is closed to comments and see whats available. After I have seen what is showing up I go into the dedicated discussion channel for that area and it is pretty much no non sense just people saying when they can be where and with how many people. Groups will form off of that.

I will say I always liked how it dropped out of the station the way it did.

I rode SoB the week it was opened and as soon as a few hours before the last accident if I am remembering right could be wrong that could have been the first accident. Anyway i was younger and weighed a lot less when I did the majority of my riding on it. Like Vortex as a kid it was easy to deal with the roughness but I don't even ride Vortex anymore and I am sure SoB would be the same if it were still open. After they Took the loop out there was no real reason for me to want to ride it as that gimmick was gone and the ride was a very boring layout to me. I do think other than a couple of rides I had on it it remained consistent in its roughness though.

At Holiday World Cabana rental is essential. Love this park I might have missed it but what did you guys think of the retracked portion of Legend? when I visited last year the changes they made put that coaster way up on my list.

Front row Beast night ride.

Last one for me was Vans Warped Tour. It was by far the best year of any I have attended. I was glad to see them focus a little more on metal. Ended the day with getting covered in Gwar blood and I wouldn't have it any other way! I was on the barrier for it.

I have not found anything I like as much as I enjoyed Breaking Bad. Right now I am watching Ozark and really enjoy it.

I have been a bit surprised by the people I have run into. Most of these people that show up are in suits are at least button up shirts all tucked in because they work downtown. All of them about my age. Makes me feel a little less like a nerd lol

Ha! thanks. If it is any more comforting to you I have a huge pet peeve with people who show up first thing in the morning smelling of sh*t. I just don't understand how that happens. One day I will do a Hershey park, Knoebles, Great Adventure trip. Just have to wait until these damn kids are a little older.
