Wow, looking forward to your report!!

So a few more notes from opening day, I left about 6pm due to rain. Gemini was one train all day (Red), Wicked Twister did have 2 cars off the track, and a piece of track was sitting on a pallet, no work was being done to it that I could see. WIndseeker and Slingshot both had guys working on them every time I walked by. Magnum was not running, Mean Streak was testing throughout the day, and Skyhawk was only running one side. It was hot & humid, not the best day ridewise, but I'll be back soon. Enjoyed Rougarou but its operations could be better and will likely improve.

Haven't made my way to the wicked twister midway yet, other observations were Gemini only running the red side, mean streak and Maverick still testing as of a bit ago. Rougabrew is ok, not bad, just blandish, kind of like Amstel Light. I'll stick to the larger beers!

Line was at 1hr 15mins, bout 20 mins for fast lane plus. 3 trains and they were stacking. I think it's a great complement to the other coasters, fast and twisty, and relatively smooth. It's not really like many others though the twists are more on the page of Maverick.

Rougarou was a blast! A little head banging, but that was tolerable. The inverted loop and twisty bits felt pretty intense. Good stuff.

Thanks for the pics Thrillrider! Rougarou looks great and I can't wait to catch a ride tomorrow. Haven't been on a floorless since Dominator as Batman:Knight Flight at SWOA. I loved that shit so I'm excited. Did you happen to notice if they had a fat guy row (row 4 on GateKeeper and Banshee) on the new trains? I hope every one has a great time at the park mañana.

I'll be there at 9am Saturday. Cannot wait... There may be some rain but I'm still gonna have a blast no matter what.

So who's going opening day? I can't wait to do the inaugural drive down the causeway.

I think the new restraints will be great. It looks like they'll still be fat guy friendly which is great if you're a fat-ass like myself. Twisty!!

I haven't ridden more than a handful of them (maybe 6) but Sea Dragon at Waldameer Park is my favorite. IMO, it really has some great air-time....

. I think they need new steel and I feel like they'd be more likely to get a smaller Dive Coaster like Krake than a Hyper. I like that many people are seeing a Chance Hyper-GTX at MIA, but Cedar Fair does an awful lot of business with B&M which makes it seem like it'd be a safer bet for them.

I'm going to stick with the Cedar Fair parks closest to me. Cedar Point: In the next five years, I predict Mean Streak getting RMC'd, with yellow I-Box track! In the recently cleared land, I could see a twisty GCI. Kings Island: A new dark ride like Iron Reef and Wonder Mountain (in the former Crypt Spot). Michigan's Adventure: Dive Coaster Canada's Wonderland: Gravity Group wooden shuttle coaster.

Wow, awesome trip report Robb! The only time I got to visit WDW my family stayed in the Polynesian back in 1988. I would absolutely dig grabbing a bungalow there now. Really nice work they did.

Tony was down at the Banshee Media Day last year working hard with many others from Cedar Point/Cedar Fair to help it run smoothly. Would not be the least bit surprised to see him working the Fury 325 Media Day.

I love the work that's been done on Shake, Rattle, and Roll! I would like to see Troika get the same treatment (and a tune up).

Iron Dragon can definitely hold it's own capacity-wise. I have to agree that the simple restrain adds a bit to that. It's also nice because you can take a small bag or something similar with you. They will usually be fine with you're putting it on the floor.

I love the Sky Ride at Cedar Point, that and driving the cadillac cars and Dodgems after several beers. Wheee!!!

I think Lagoon's really showing some great taste in this addition. I would love to visit someday.
