  1. Cool, replacing a meh coaster with what is likely to be something far better. The last three coasters at KI have all been fantastic, so something of similar quality will be a big improvement over Firehawk.
  2. I get people who are afraid to ride roller coasters, but being afraid of relocating a roller coaster? Dumb.
  3. ^ Well, the river referenced in Rivertown is clearly the Ohio. It's the main point for Cincinnati's existence. I'm down with Vortex being removed. That would open up a lot of land for future expansions.
  4. oh yeah, regardless I had a GREAT time. the entire trip. no really. as I like to say, "I'm explaining, not complaining" hopefully it's coming across that way. It absolutely is.
  5. Nice! Thanks for letting us know. Next year is likely to be the first time we get to this park. I'm cool with what's there right now, but if they get something big, new, and cool, all the better.
  6. Really, you're not sure? I mean, not hard to figure out if this is current.
  7. Cool, I'm sure they have some system designed so this doesn't interfere with normal operations and won't cause standby lines to be ridiculous. Plus it's pretty expensive so most people won't get it. I've paid $110 for Platinum Flash Pass and Fast Lane Plus, you're on vacation so budget for it. Going to Disneyland isn't exactly a daily occcurrence.
  8. Nice! Glad you didn't let your leg stop you having fun. Just did what you had to do to keep going.
  9. I didn't know about Gathering Place, looks very cool. We'll have to head down there some weekend.
  10. Thanks, Satans Hockey, that helps. This is a long term plan, as obviously this mall and Legoland have to be built first, but good to know it can be done without too much hassle. One transfer and 25 minutes is pretty good for transit.
  11. It looks like there's a train station across the street. Is that connected to the subway system? Sorry for sounding like a dumb tourist, but I want to visit NYC and I will totally be a dumb tourist. And yeah, Bill, I know you don't live in NYC, but closer than I am at least.
  12. Very nice! Looks like so much fun. The Mickey Jackolantern t-shirt is especially great.
  13. Crowds will be very low on Monday the 8th. You might be the only one there. https://www.silverdollarcity.com/theme-park/Calendar
  14. Thanks for the ridership table, really helps put things in perspective. I like Vortex and Invertigo just fine. Neither is getting me to go to the park, but I ride both while I'm there and enjoy them. If they were to remove either one, I wouldn't shed a tear, especially if they get something as good as their last 3 coasters.
  15. Oh wow, that's pretty cool. I didn't know about this coaster. Thanks for the education! If this does come back, I'd go down to Long Beach next time I'm in the area.
  16. I'd had fun with this, but let's be serious for just a moment. Are you ok? Do you need medical help? Please get help if you need it.
  17. Don't be embarrased by that! My wife and I went here before we had kids and a couple of years ago based an entire trip around it just so we could bring the kids. It's a fantastic place. And I absolutely hate malls and do everything I can to avoid them. This one's great. If the New Jersey mall ends up like this one, you'll love it.
  18. Yeah, that was really awesome hanging out with you guys. Morey's is just a bit too far away to fly out there every year. We'll have to do something though. I have to get out to Busch Gardens at some point, and once that mall and Legoland are done I want to go to NYC. You need to get out to Branson too.
  19. Did you really? Wow, you must be a great photographer, since your photos are every bit as good as the professional ones Wade Shows features on their website. http://www.wadeshows.com/images/site/rides/B35C54DF-1495-4EAA-8ED1-4A3244D3A96B.42620.0708680556.jpg
  20. Fantastic report! Glad you got on Orange Streak! My oldest doesn't usually ride roller coasters, but she loved that one. Something for everyone. Maybe it's that a giant orange turd was dumped on my city today, but I laughed way too hard at the glass ceiling joke. Spectacularly done. We also got the combo tickets with Sea Life, and why not? IIRC, they were ony a few dollars more than the NU wristband anyway, plus huge awesome aquarium. It's way bigger than the Sea Life in the Crown Center mall in Kansas City. That log flume is the best in the Midwest. It's been there since before the Nickelodeon stuff and I'm glad they haven't messed with it. And of course...Margaritaville. Perfect.
  21. Infinity Falls looks really great! I loved the big drop on Grizzly River at Disneyland. If this one's like that, should be really fun.
  22. Glad you had fun; proper expectations are key here. Good move going to Thunderhawk and Shivering Timbers first. Those are the two good coasters. Sounds like a very fun trip, lots of variety. Lake Michigan really is beautiful.
  23. A giant orange turd has been dropped on my city today. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  24. Awesome! Good to see the gang all back together. Bummer no It though. Absolutely the best flat on the piers.
