  1. Did they switch it to Harvest Fest when HFE took over management? They're opposed to doing any Halloween events on religious grounds, so they do fall harvest type events instead.
  2. Revenge of the Mummy at USH this afternoon.
  3. Duff beer at Moe's Tavern in Universal Studios Hollywood. Really good!
  4. Fear not! Full trip report coming up when I get back home. Pacific Park, Magic Mountain, Knott's, Disneyland, DCA, and USH!
  5. I absolutely adore New York pizza. I live much, much closer to Chicago than New York, but Chicago pizza sucks. If you need a knife and fork, it's a casserole. Granted, I haven't been to New York, but we do have a pizza place where I live owned by a transplanted New Yorker. I have some friends who moved here from NY and NJ and they say it's authentic. I hope so, because that sh*t is awesome.
  6. Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy at Disneyland!
  7. Only if you don't know how business works. Likely they were just waiting on some final numbers that weren't available at the time of the previous announcement. Once they had the numbers, they green lit the pre-K pass, and gave it a separate announcement.
  8. Cool. I'm wanting to spend some time in Harry Potter, so I probably won't be doing both. Is there a way to know which is better, or just go with what time works best?
  9. That's great information. I'll be there tomorrow and will definitely use this!
  10. The very last train of the night on Ghostrider to finish out West Coast Bash.
  11. Thank you, Robb, Elissa, and everyone at Six Flags Magic Mountain and Knott's Berry Farm who worked to put on West Coast Bash. It was awesome!
  12. Phantasialand looks like an amazing park, and this is a very good trip report! Thanks for sharing; looking forward to more!
  13. How Silver Dollar City didn't make this list, I'll never know. Likely a lot of the voters haven't been here. It's really in the middle of nowhere, so you'd have to make a special trip for it. A lot of enthusiasts are on the East Coast, so it makes sense that many if them have been to Dollywood and were impressed, but haven't come out to the Ozarks yet. But SDC is mentioned as a runner up for several of the awards. While I'm sure that it's location doesn't help with the amount of voters that go to the park, that can't be the only reason. I think it's just a case of the Golden Tickets being weird. Could be. But a lot of us know SDC is a great park, and that's what matters. I can't speak for Blackpool, as I haven't been there, but a lot of people speak very highly of it. It may be very good too.
  14. That's all right, LA can have them back. St. Louis has baseball season and hockey season. Football was always the #3 sport in this town.

  16. Winner of the creepiest dumb thing ever said on TPR:
  17. While I agree with you, I don't think insurance companies agree. Otherwise I think more parks would utilize the space inside the helixes and wide turns like they do at Cliff's Yeah, they have a different definition of liability, namely, whether they will have to pay out. And they may have to pay out even if the park is not at fault, for a variety of factors. Theme park accidents do tend to make headlines, even when they're not serious.
  18. #150 Tatsu, at West Coast Bash!
  19. We were there around the same time period, and I agree with this assessment. Legend was very smooth, and of course we rode it in the middle row of the three-bench PTCs. The middle row of the back car actually got some good air on the second drop (which is steeper than the first, so it's the most forceful part of this ride).
  20. West Coaster at the Santa Monica Pier.
  21. Saving the city's easy; keeping it safe is the hard part. I save it every time I ride Justice League. But then the next time I get in line, it's in trouble again!
  22. This is the key to happiness in everything.
  23. On my way to the airport now! It's happening!
  24. Millennium Force: I would modify the ground it sits on from being in Ohio to being right next to my house.
