  1. ^ Yep, but just to make it clear (I'm sure you know, since you probably read the same article I did, but clarifying for readers of this thread who may haven't), that doesn't mean that you can catch them yet. The Gen2 Pokemon have been added in a data table, not in any code that governs the actual playing of the game. However, they must be added there before they can be added anywhere else. So it's an exciting first step, but that's all it is at this point.
  2. I hear good things about that. My girls are interested.
  3. ^ Yep, at the very end of the credits, there's a second one. Get back to that theatre pronto!
  4. Oh god, must everything remind me of him?
  5. Excellent! Yes, we stayed all the way to the end of the credits and saw both extra scenes. Very fun.
  6. Yes, having some now! (3-day weekend!) Are you owned by a cat?
  7. Yes, back in June I did a solo road trip to Kentucky Kingdom, Kings Island, Cedar Point, Michigan's Adventure, and Indiana Beach. Photo trip report here: http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=72000 Do you have to work tomorrow?
  8. "The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song" by the Flaming Lips
  9. Good start, but you haven't been to Cedar Point unless you've ridden it 5-6 times per hour.
  10. Yes. Have you ever gotten a free doughnut?
  11. Yes I did. Are you moving to Canada?
  12. I'm listening to Dana Carvey say "bunchaf*ckinbullsh*t" on infinite repeat.
  13. Then O. Henry would write a short story about it. What if we're all actually upside down?
  14. This is all very interesting, including the verification system. There are sensors, I would guess, that tell if the restraint is down far enough. I've noticed this only on very new coasters, including the calling out of specific seats. It's awesome that you have that as a double check. *in an old guy voice* Back in my day, the restraint check was a ride op pulling on the bar and saying "I hope you make it back okay. Wouldn't want to lose any more today."
  15. The dirt in that circle is made from crushed enthusiast dreams.
  16. ^ No, it never was smooth, but no one really cared about that back then. The derailment was in 1999, and it operated for four more years after that,
  17. Great review! We saw it yesterday in IMAX 3D, and the visuals are incredible. It stands alone, but also ties in nicely with the rest of the Marvel universe. I read a few of the Doctor Strange comics when I was a kid, so I enjoyed the Easter eggs and nods to the comics. It's a fun story, and I don't want to say too much about it, but anyone who's on the fence about this, go see it. You don't have to know anything about Marvel to enjoy it, and indeed it will make you rethink what you thought Marvel was all about.
  18. I got to ride these two in 1995. And Zinger had always been one of my Bucket List coasters for years and years. With OE, I rode twice, and then a couple of weeks later, somebody died on it, truth! After that, it was downhill for that coaster and it was eventually taken down. And isn't Zinger in Brazil or somewhere south of the USA? So yes, I would really have liked to have re-ridden these two, one more time. Yeah, Zinger is in Colombia now. At least it lives on. Cedar Fair was awesome to come in and build Detonator right off the bat, but replacing Zinger with a boomerang...not their best move. No one ever died on Orient Express. You're thinking of Timber Wolf, which did have a fatality in 1995, a guest who was attempting to switch seats on the lift hill...never a good idea. Orient Express survived until 2003, when maintenance became too intensive and costly to justify it any longer, and it was replaced by Spinning Dragons, debuting in 2004.
  19. Halo if we're talking the original. I have fond memories of loading up the old CRT television and Xbox (the original, with the X) and heading over to a friend's house for some local multiplayer LAN parties. LOL or ROFL?
  20. Been listening to Common's "Black America Again" today. Bit nervous about the election tomorrow, and Common always helps with that.
  21. This guy approves: In all seriousness, this is a good direction for them to be taking. While enthusiasts often visit only for the rides, shows and entertainment are very important to SeaWorld--and Joel Manby knows this quite well. A renewed focus on shows while keeping the core educational components is going to be key for them in the next few years.
