  1. Those sensors have always been trouble from the very beginning, when they nixed the splashdown. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if that's exactly what it is.
  2. ^^ Of course! Have fun, eat some cinmamon bread. Don't forget the cave! ^ That sounds perfectly normal. The thing is that one train operations are really pretty common at SDC. I probably see two train ops way more than most on this site just because we usually go on weekends. But during the week, even in peak summer, there's not always enough guests to justify it. They also can kick ass with one train ops, and their coasters tend to be on the shorter side, so they can get away with it more than most parks would. Reduces maintenance costs so they can afford things like Outlaw Run and Time Traveler, amd it keeps older coasters like Thunderation and Wildfire running as smoothly as when they opened. EDIT: For those coming next year for the new coaster, this will NOT be true for you. 2013 was a record breaking year, and waits of 90-120 minutes for Outlaw Run were common all summer. I would expect the same for Time Traveler next year. Come in the fall or spring for lowest crowds if you can, or else just budget for Trailblazer Pass.
  3. Ok, something must be wrong with PK then that is preventing them from running a second train. They usually add a train when the line hits around 30 minutes. OR at 25 minutes should be running 1 train. No problems there.
  4. Alamo has typically been my go to for rental cars. Unlike the budget ones that offer teaser rates that inevitably will be higher once you pay extra for things that should be included, Alamo just gives you a no nonsense rate that includes everything you need and nothing you don't, and they don't try to get you to pay $5 a gallon for gas when you get back.
  5. Serious question: Are the crowds on the paths or in the queues? EDIT: Ok, just checked the app, and Lost River is 40 minutes, Powder Keg 45, and everything else is 15 or less. That means Powder Keg should be running 2 trains (of 3), Fire in the Hole 2 trains (of 5), and all the other coasters just 1. Is that what's happening?
  6. Man, I was hoping this would be the year they got one new putter for the mini golf.
  7. Uh...you can count to 3, right? Right? Agreed. Loved all three of them. I'm mostly just being snarky because it sounded like the worst idea ever and ended up being very solid.
  8. Yeah, they won't build three different versions of the same ride. They're not Hersheypark.
  9. ^ I'm about 1900% certain that the ride will have three identical trains. The only differentiation will be the paint job.
  10. As awesome as Raptor is, if I were at Walygator Parc, I would be in France (that's the only thing I know about Walygator, but it's enough). Call me a bad enthusiast, but France > Cedar Point. Land war in Asia or unemployed in Greenland?
  11. #1 Runaway Ore Cart, Silver Dollar City, 1989 #50 Goliath, Six Flags Great America, 2014 #100 Millennium Force, Cedar Point, 2016 (Coastermania) #150 Tatsu, Six Flags Magic Mountain, 2016 (West Coast Bash) #200 Great Noreaster, Moreys Piers, 2017 (with Coasterbill and Boldikus)
  12. Just realized that's only a week away now. This close and we still don't know more than the vaguest information aboit the ride. Very exciting.
  13. Sucks to hear you didn't enjoy the Runaway. It was very smooth originally. I haven't been back on it since it reopened, but the coaster had significant storm damage. Enjoy Silver Dollar City! Glad you're taking your time with it. It's absolutely the sort of park you need to take time to appreciate. Take the cave tour. Eat cinnamon bread.
  14. Oh, that's ENTIRELY different. Everyone knows Six Flags sucks and independent parks are the shizznit, so we only lose our shizznit when an independent park does it. We're enthusiasts. It's what we do.
  15. Louisville has a big pride celebration. We were in town that day for a concert, but we got to see some of the festivities before it began. Homophobia may be rampant in Kentucky in general, but Louisville, its largest city, is slightly left of centre, which counts as progressive by Kentucky standards.
  16. Now, come now. Who are you to gainsay Milton Hershey, Milton Hershey, the amazing chocolatier? If Mr. Hershey wills it to be a water coaster, then a water coaster 'tis. Now good day, sir. I said good day.
  17. This one. I don't know how Phoenix does anything it does, but I love all of it.
  18. It has not always been in a kids area, but it has always been in the same location. Planet Snoopy was added to that area in 2011.
  19. Finally getting caught up on this report. Looks like you all have had a lot of fun so far. Mystic Timbers looks really great, and I agree that Cedar Fair's recent additions to Kings Island have really done a lot for it. Can't wait to see the Missouri parks!
  20. ^ True, but it's a full size coaster with a 42" minimum, and it's also the biggest coaster in any Planet Snoopy.
