  1. Dollywood Humus or hummus?
  2. Eh, I'm not a fan. It's kind of interesting looking, maybe, but it's not at all useful. I do love the 360 videos you make though, where I can move my phone around and see different views. Keep making those.
  3. At least he had the courage to put his arms up. I couldn't do it. I held on for dear life and screamed like a five year old the whole way. Both times.
  4. I had forgotten all about that. Way to raise the dead.
  5. Congratulations! That's a great ride.
  6. As of a week ago, it's now Kingda Ka. Likely to stay that way for a very long time, but I certainly wouldn't complain if it doesn't.
  7. That's fantastic that they're letting the kids out of school for the eclipse. Our kids go back on the 17th and we're just pulling them out for the day on the 21st. They'll lose their perfect attendance 3 days in. I'm not worried; I think they'd learn more seeing the eclipse anyway.
  8. Cool, I had noticed the wood in that area looked a lot classier. If they replace the rest of the boardwalk to look just like that area, that'd be a huge visual improvement.
  9. This is awesome. As is your username. Haven't noticed you before now, but welcome!
  10. I fought an Articuno in the parking lot of one of our local hospitals, and a doctor came out on his lunch break to play with us. I've found a lot of players are college students, at least around me, but then again, Missouri State University is downtown, so that's not really surprising.
  11. There are a bunch of enthusiasts who are still in denial, and who believe that a really good coaster cannot possibly be scrapped. It would really help a lot of people to learn at least some business sense. Makes it a lot easier to realize that precisely because these coasters are so good, Universal would never want them to fall into the hands of anyone else. They don't want them, sure, but no one else will have them, either.
  12. At this point I'm pretty content to wait for Wednesday. They've clearly learned from their mistakes with Outlaw Run and have done such a good job keeping it quiet, I'd hate to spoil that for myself.
  13. More states, more coasters! Arkansas - X-Coaster California - Ghostrider Georgia - Cannon Ball Illinois - Goliath Indiana - Voyage Iowa - Monster Kentucky - Lightning Run Michigan - Shivering Timbers Minnesota - SpongeBob SquarePants Rock Bottom Plunge Missouri - Outlaw Run New Jersey - El Toro New Mexico - New Mexico Rattler Ohio - Millennium Force Oklahoma - Silver Bullet Pennsylvania - Phoenix Tennessee - Mystery Mine Texas - Superman Krypton Coaster Wisconsin - Meteor
  14. Funny, I think the helix and return to the station are the only bad parts to the ride. I'm hoping GCI comes back to finish the job.
  15. Pretty lenient on everything but Powder Keg if it's just rain. If there's lightning, everything but the train and Fire in the Hole shuts down. Sometimes Flooded Mine closes in lightning, sometimes not. It is mostly indoors, but there's a section where it goes outside and there's a lake there. Cave is always open unless the cave is flooded. If rain is impending, I'd get on Powder Keg now.
  16. I'm getting the feeling that SDC is your home park haha. Thanks again for the info! Yes it is. Happy to help. It's really a great park, and not too many people get out this way.
  17. Choose wisely. Because the the two you don't choose will become Valleyfair's new 2018 attractions. CF could not give that much bounty to just one park. Nah, Valleyfair will get one, and Dorney gets the one that's left.
  18. Drinking with your mental health professional is the most fun of all.
  19. Glad you had fun. Enjoy the shops and remember they'll hold stuff for you at the Ozark Marketplace near the exit so you don't have to carry it around all day. A lot of things are made by the craftspeople who work at the park, so look for the labels. Anything without the label is contracted from factories elsewhere, so just keep that in mind. Enjoy the cave!
  20. Oddly enough, SDC does have a repeat of Adventure Express in Thunderation, and they do it way better. Powder Keg has a lift at the end too. They have a tendency toward making their coasters actually more intense as the ride goes on, building toward a climax like a good story does.
  21. ^ Yeah, I've met the enthusiasts who don't, and it's scary. I said that mostly in jest, but yeah, some people.... ^^ You totally should. All 3 are great parks with a lot to do for everyone.
  22. I totally believe this. We are talking about the park that owns snake bags lierally labeled Snake Bag.
  23. Ha! Very nice. Nitro was a blast (insert groans here), and I'm glad I got to hang out with you guys last weekend.
