  1. I love everything about this report.
  2. Most parks publish a phone number where you can text security. That's a good discreet way of taking care of the problem so they don't gain from their mischief but also can't identify you and retaliate against you.
  3. That's quite a compliment! Love Bill Hader; he's somewhat local too (Tulsa, OK).
  4. So I've pretty much played this constantly since Tuesday. I love all the little things they've done to make it less grindy, like mileage points for upgrades so you don't have to spend money on them and getting a free car just for logging in and driving 26.2 miles in a day. Really helps to focus on progress and not just drive the same beginning race ad nauseum until you can afford a good car.
  5. That's some good writing. You can tell she was having some fun with that article.
  6. Just got caught up with this report. So much to love here. Squishies, plushies, Pokemon, expectations that people behave civilly--Japan is incredible. And that's even before the ramen noodle ride and screaming log flume. Japan is full of the best ideas.
  7. Appreciate the new quote button. Wasn't really a problem to hit the gear and then quote, but hey one tap is better than two. Thanks!
  8. Oh wow, that looks fantastic! Will definitely have to try that out.
  9. Agreed on Wildcat and Quick Draw--I think Wildcat is underappreciated. It's really fun and I'm glad it was given a second life here. I want to like Quick Draw, and I usually do like dark rides, but I just don't care for this one. Too bad you didn't get to do the flume. It's really great. That tunnel is so long, and much appreciated on hot Oklahoma days. Overall great pics and review of a great small park!
  10. Yeah, I got that. Just didn't realize that Philip had owned it seperately from HW and thought you guys had sold it to them.
  11. Yep. She's going after the park because they have money and will likely settle. Anything she says right now will likely be at the advice of her lawyer, so of course she's going to say she's scared. If she says it's no big deal, she doesn't get paid, or at least not as much.
  12. Ah, cool, thanks! I knew it had been sold a few years ago, but thanks for clearing that up.
  13. Just got Gran Turismo Sport for $20 during the Sony Days of Play sale. Download faster!
  14. We got A Wrinkle in Time from Redbox this past weekend, and really enjoyed it! Though the plot was a bit pared down from the books, nonessential characters removed, etc., the cinematography was quite imaginative. I love the way they pulled off the fourth-dimensional travel. It all had a 2001: Space Odyssey vibe that I really enjoyed.
  15. Nice! We've got a go kart track just like that in Branson, and there isn't a person warning you to slow down. The airtime is real. EDIT: Not my photo, but gives you an idea.
  16. Now that's interesting. I was under the impression they couldn't build at all there. Honestly VF is good on a lot of the stuff you'd put in buildings, like shops and restaurants. They really just need more waterpark. Although I wouldn't turn down a giga along the river. Who am I kidding? I would plan a trip around a giga along the river.
  17. ^^ Yeah, not all ERT is equal, that's for sure. Lake Rudolph actually used to belong to HW. Not sure when or why they sold it, but it may have some bearing on their willingness to get back into the hospitality game. ^ The campground is great, and so quiet there. You don't remember it's next to a theme park until you hear the coasters testing in the morning. We loved the shuttles that pick you up practically at your door. Free parking is great, but not having to drive at all is better!
  18. They could put Millennium Force in that spot if they really wanted. That plot of land goes straight back to the edge of the property and behind Oceans of Fun's lake. Without Boomerang and Dinos, there's room for anything. The limiter here is not space but how much they're willing to spend.
  19. Rasputin Imperial Stout & Southern Tier 2XIPA, KC ribs
  20. I'm impressed that they stayed open later to compensate for the missed time due to lightning. That's pretty incredible. We've stayed at both Santa's Lodge and Lake Rudolph, and would do Lake Rudolph again in a heartbeat. My kids still talk about the RV there. It really made an impression.
  21. Wow, how cool! You got to do some really fun stuff there. Looking forward to following this report.
  22. I've been trying this out today, and I really like it. Agreed with others that a darker background would be better, as the white is very bright in low light, even with my Galaxy's blue light filter on and brightness settings adjusted.
