  1. Yeah, Skyrush is VERY different between wing and non-wing seats. In the middle it's a pleasant hyper. In the wing seats it's a murderous villain with laser eyes and a battle axe.
  2. Goats on a Roof is great, both the coaster and the weird ass store. Great photos of San Francisco Pride! Looks like a really fun time.
  3. Awesome as usual! Glad your mom had a good day. 10-5 is really, really short, but QQ certainly helps there. Our local zoo has cheetahs, and I have only once in my life ever seen them active. They are the laziest SOBs.
  4. Wow, that's pretty incredible. With all the big ticket stuff open late, and a chance to ride anything that isn't on ERT before the park closes, this is an outstanding event.
  5. I'll pile on the Scooters love. So, so good.
  6. Speak for yourself. Some of us like to count our money on a regular basis. I often pull out my wallet on coasters and count loudly, "One...two...a-thrree" and that way people know I have $3. Also, am I detecting a new filter here? Locker Oh yeah!
  7. Just for context, I wanted to point out that Table Rock is a man-made lake, and Silver Dollar City is on a peninsula out into that lake.
  8. SeaWorld needs to just use this report as its next ad campaign.
  9. This BBQ place is great. I was with a couple people and we all shared so I was able to sample a few different things. It all tasted great and I thought the portion sizes were really big. Prices weren't bad either. It's definitely somewhere I'll be going back to on future visits. I have to agree that this place has some great food, however disagree about the portion size. I don't know, pretty sure this BBQ place is in America, and therefore by definition the portion is really big.
  10. Skyrush has the best system out there. Free fluffy bunnies before you get in line AND cubbies at the station too.
  11. Glad you enjoyed it! Knoebels is incredible and it's not really apparent why. They do exactly the opposite of what just about every other park does, and I think that's what makes it work. Knoebel's is the only place to experience what they offer. Big corporate parks can be exhausting, but despite going from one thing to the next all day for two days straight, I never really felt tired at all. A park is a place to relax and have fun, and Knoebels does that in ways that other parks can't match. Looking forward to your report!
  12. I like the look of it. You've got the whole steel theme on top of the football theme, since the football team is named for the steel workers that are really the soul of Pittsburgh. The coaster has this steelness to it that works for me. Yes, there are a lot of steel coasters, but some (especially B&Ms) have a lot of space between supports and seem airy. You look at this and it looks like a skyscraper under construction. It's undeniably steel in its essence.
  13. Yeah I went on a Thursday when there were several school groups or summer camps or something, and I still managed to walk on nearly everything. Talon and Hydra had like 5 minute waits. Odd thing is, those 5 minute waits were jarring just because I got used to the Cartman treatment.
  14. YEEEESSSS! This is the best news. Those floating fluffy bunnies are so great, make the day a lot more relaxing. Oh man, pop your stuff in there, get in the Fast Lane Plus line for about ten minutes, ride something awesome, move on to the next one. THAT's gonna be great.
  15. If this was the case, then there should’ve been someone telling the driver to not go into the water. It shouldn’t be the drivers responsibility to check the radar and see what’s coming. I wonder if they had anyone monitoring the storms coming. It's my understanding that they do. The last time I was on it a couple of years ago, we were not able to go on Table Rock because the winds were too high, so they took us on Taneycomo instead, where the cliffs shielded and the wind speed was lower. So they do have some sort of system in place, though I don't have any sort of detailed knowledge of it.
  16. Yes, it was sunny and the storm came suddenly as you looked at it on the ground, but on radar it had been coming for some time. There was a severe thunderstorm watch for most of yesterday, and a warning came about 4:30 or so. I was at work when this happened (I work at Springfield-Branson Airport), and we were all in storm shelters when I got a news alert for this. Airplanes were all grounded and everyone in both terminals were in storm shelters, and these people thought it was totally okay to take some tourists out in a boat on the lake. This is negligence if I've ever seen it.
  17. If it's the coaster you have the most fun on, then it is the best coaster.
  18. Looks pretty neat. I'm not a fan of football, so the surrounding area gets a meh from me. But it looks family friendly and gives non-riders something to do in the area, so definitely better than just a coaster. If football money got them to be able to afford this, then great.
  19. http://www.ky3.com/content/news/Emergency-crews-work-incident-involving-amphibious-boat-on-Table-Rock-Lake-488679201.html
  20. Shivering Timbers is legit, even if you ride nothing else. Wolverine Wildcat is pretty good, go to that first so you don't miss it. Thunderhawk is one of the best SLCs out there, and if you're a fan of water rides, hit up Grand Rapids.
  21. This is probably it. I was impressed by Peter Pan, but yes, it was my first and only visit. Worth the 40 minute wait I think, but maybe I wouldn't say so a second time. Bill, great report as usual and I was laughing at the It's a Small World stuff as well as Stich.
