  1. ^Not yet , but I doubt its really THAT different other than a little bit more intense.
  2. I don't get why Busch decided to make SheiKra floorless other than for something as simple as a new gimmick and maybe a profit. I knew it would have some problems and that the money would have been better spent on, say, I don't know... flat rides or retracking/new trains for Gwazi. Although I really do want to go on that evac trolley one of these days.
  3. ^Agreed with almost everything, I'm usually good with navigation of parks, but I struggled to find the picnic area and the entrance to the Italian Job. At least install some guide signs like Six Flags have been doing at their parks. KI was just a giant "meh." Good thing I got all of the credits so I don't have to go back there anytime soon.
  4. Amazing pics Hanno! I had to pet Holidog...
  5. Furries? At Beech Bend? How fitting.
  6. Am I the "new Barry?" Just a thought.
  7. Can't wait for the KI trashcan review!

    How about a

^Yes, and quite a few of them want to meet children just so they could get Little Bill's Giggle Coaster.
  9. Looks like SFDK might be the next park to get a Tony Hawk's Big Spin clone. http://www.screamscape.com/html/six_flags_discovery_kingdom.htm
  10. I really want to play Punchout right now.
  11. Day 2: Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom- Italian Buffet = KFC with Cilantro After a long day at Holidog World, we start day 2 of the trip with probably the most generous park on the trip by far, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. When we got there for our ERT, we probably got the best news ever. Originally we had Chang, Twisted Twins, and Thunder Run for our ERT (plus DeLuge ERT later). However, Thunder Run was broken, but we ended up getting ERT on TWO more coasters (T2 and Greased Lightnin'). By far, this park totally owns. Missed Credits: Thunder Run (downtime) On to the ride reviews: #44- Chang (7.5/10) Another one of the better B&M stand ups out there. Chang basically 1up'd Mantits' layout and then some. A great stand up, but I still think Georgia Scorcher is better. #45- T2 (1/10) If there was one blemish the park had that I wish they would scrap or refurb, it'd be T2. Aside from cracking paint and kudzu all over, this smiley basically sums up T2: . #46- Twisted Twins (Blue Side) (5.5/10) Only one side was working for our ERT and it was the Blue side. It was a decent ride with lots of twists, but the jackhammering sometimes took away from the fun. #47- Greased Lightnin' (7/10) I love these old Schwarzkopf's and this one was pure fun. The flywheel launch, the forceful loop, the spikes. All good fun and this was worth a few rerides as well. Credit?- DeLuge (8/10) Out of all these "water coaster/master blaster" slides, this one was easily one of the best. There was lots of floater air all around the ride. It felt kind of weird that this ride is powered by LIM's. Last but not least, I felt like this ride was a little too short but darnit, it was great fun. Here's hoping that DeLuge becomes the next Tornado! #48- Road Runner Express (6.5/10) A nicely themed little family wild mouse. I liked how this one ran with basically no trims and how wild the turns were. Other than that, it was still a typical Mack mouse. A lot better than Cheetah Chase at Busch Gardens Africa. #49- Roller Skater (5/10) Another no frills Roller Skater. A fun ride and thats just about it. I liked how this one was shaded in trees though. #50- Twisted Twins (Pink Side) (6/10) The other side of Twisted Twins did not come up until about a half hour before we had to leave the park. So I made a mad dash to get to my 50th credit, Twisted Twins Pink. Was it worth all the running in the heat? Maybe yes, maybe no. The ride itself though was fun and had a lot more air than the other side. Now onto the park itself, SFKK was overall a very nice park in the SF chain with a nice selection of rides. This park was also probably the most generous of parks in this entire trip. The Italian Buffet (seriously, it was not "KFC with some Italian sauce") was very good and the park handed out a buttload of freebies on every table (a jumbo size map, a pin, some coasters, etc.). Also, I liked how at the near end of our feast, Bugs and Daffy came out to play and resulted in a nice little fiasco involving Tex that I bet will be on the next DVD. All in all, the park's management was very generous and nice. Hopefully someday I will make it back to this park, whenever they install a new ride or if they get Thunder Run working. In the meantime, THANK YOU for such an awesome day Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom! Now on to the part more people care about most than text, pictures! Run Bugs, Run! Beech Bend coming tomorrow. Maybe I'll post the movie later. Hi Joe. TPR took over Greezed Lightnin'. How'd Jahan taste? This is going to be my car. Since we were in the Midwest, we needed at least ONE cow picture. Our picnic shelter gave a nice view of GL. Hi Joe, Hi Derek! Ah, there we go. At least SFKK didn't think we were a traveling revue show. Time for the Italian Feast. And no, it was not "KFC with Cilantro." I like the look of the fish on the sign. Shawn posing with the Five Flags. Employees having ERT? A picture of track. How creative of a caption is that? Because we needed a station shot. Roller Skater, I liked how this one was canopied by trees. Tornado, a fun slide. I have to show some props to an Old Skool USF attraction. You could see this building from literally almost everywhere in the front end of the park. A better picture of the zany nice theming. A decently themed mouse and I like how it ran nearly trimless. Hey Erik, this should be your van. Greased, Greezed, whatever. I love you Anton. It's like a game of Twister, without the mat or the spinner thingy. The waterpark looked very nice and in the back, theres DeLuge. Here's hoping DeLuge becomes the next Tornado! The station. Note the twistyness. Looks like fun, but this ride is not really photogenic. It was either this or be sued by a hair metal band. This ride is 5,280 feet high? Eat that Kingda Ka! Das boots. First missed credit on the entire trip. Hope to ride you soon! Blizzard River looked like a decently themed rapids ride. Too bad I didn't have time to ride it. You know Schwarzkopf also makes professional hair care products, right? (also Chris, no I won't spike my hair!) The station is still red, more paint chipping, and kudzu all over. Hopefully SFKK gives this ride some love. I still remember the pain by looking at this photo. If you look closely, you can see the black paint chipping off. At least its not themed after the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. Oh god... Best stand up on the trip by far. Inversion or not? You decide! Sexy dive loop action. Morning beautiful! First steps outside the back entrance of the park and Chang is waking up.
  12. Way to 1up everybody else's Midwest TR's, Wes. I thought nobody could top Terry's creepy statue photos. Can't wait for the tool sign language pictures.
  13. Thank you for getting the Dallas theme song stuck in my head and a funny video. Also, I think I had a funner time chilling out at the hotel that day, taking some storm pics, souvenir shopping, the TGI Friday's lunch with Wes' cheesecake orgasm, and a nice nap. I seriously lack patience. Although that night was fun for a credit fun run with low waits. At least you waited for a top 10 ride though! Funny video.
  14. ALL TR's, other Wes? No, just no. At least I'm not planning on doing more MSPaints for the other trip reports nor am I going to milk it as often. Thanks for all of the comments though. Laura, I'll do the second best thing and swim in my pool with my clothes on in order to simulate "Congo Falls." Wes, I don't have a tivo nor am I really that tired, so I'm doing second best thing and just posting crap. SFKK either later tonight or tomorrow.
  15. "Baby I'm Ready To Go" - Republica Curse you TTD!
  16. ^Forget pie, cheesecake was where its at on this trip.
  17. Strickers was small but fun. Both of the woodies were fun little rides. Roasted corn was awesome and I liked pissing off 10 year olds with the old "Camera flash at the shooting gallery" trick. Awesome TR of an awesome short visit at this park!
  18. DAY 1: Holiday World- New for 2008 "Wagon: The Ride" So the trip "began" at Holiday World after our afternoon at Coney Island. We got on the bus at 8 and made our journey to Holiday World. Needless to say, Holiday World is an amazing park with great service although the park screams "install a B&M looper." But regardless, the wooden coasters were amazing (except for Legend, that one kinda stunk). On to ride reviews: #40 - Voyage (9/10) If there was a wooden coaster that was like Gwarzi, this is it. TPR ended up taking over the first rides of the morning for Voyage. All I can say is this: HOLY POO-POO! A great amount of air on each of the hops. A twister section that goes by in a blur. Even the newly added trims didn't really kill the ride and still made it crazy. Voyage easily became my favorite wooden coaster by far and made it on to #4 on my top 10. After Voyage, I took part in the fun of free soft drinks, did Gobbler Getaway, then rode Legend. #41 - Legend (5/10) This is the Gwazi of Holiday World. A fun little wooden twister coaster that was rough and painful. I still have a scab on my right thumb from that ride but it was not nearly as awful as Gwazi. It looked like such a fun ride, but this ride disappointed me a little and was rough. After Legend, it was time to ride Raven. #42 - Raven (8/10) Raven during the day is pretty "meh". However, during the night, it delivers an amazing airtime filled ride where you can barely see where you're going. The only peeves about this ride would be the slow lift and how short the ride felt. But it still felt intense flying through the woods at night. After Raven, Holiday World gave us a delicious and generous free lunch buffet that stuffed all of us, even though there were tons of leftovers. I think a caterer said "These guys eat less than those ACE people." Following lunch, TPR did a walkback of Voyage that gave us quite a few nice pictures and a takeover of Holidog, which resulted in some scarring pictures, water fights, me bonking my head real good on the playground, and of course... #43- Howler (4/10) Howler was just your average Zamperla kiddie themed to Holidog, the park's mascot. I didn't expect much and this ride delivered it. Oh well, this wasn't as pathetic as riding a certain kiddie at KI . After Holidog, we did more rides on Raven and Voyage. I also rode the rapids ride as well (which totally soaks you). After that, we went over to Splashin' Safari and rode their new slide Bakuli, which was a totally fun Toilet Bowl slide. For the rest of the night, I kept riding Raven since Voyage had some downtime until the end of the day. However, I regret not riding Voyage at night. Oh well, guess I'll have to come back here again some day. This park was amazing overall, with some nice wooden coasters and the greatest customer service I've seen at a park with the generous freebies of sunblock and sodas. I seriously wish more parks could become like Holiday World with these perks, but I guess other park's just need the dough. Also, I have a hilarious story to tell in the pictures. Here are the pictures We'll end this day with dinner. And we are no longer a traveling Revue show . SFKK coming later! It was no use slowing down and he barraged through trash cans like nobody's business. A worker stopped him at the bottom of the hill. Other guests were all laughing so hard at this incident. That made my day and I know these pics doesn't do the story justice. The little kid lost control, the mom panicked, and it was almost like that "Greased up saucer scene from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." Alright, time for a funny story. A mom and two little kids were heading down the hill next to Raven's exit. The mom thinks the older kid could control the wagon down the hill. Hey pumpkin, mind if I carve ya? And of course, fun that is not for ages 8 to 88. A neverending lifthill. Howler had an intense layout. Time for Holidog, with the Zamperla stamp of approval on the butt. Ryan is all "Holy poo-poo, Voyage is ascending the lift!" Voyage walkback. So long but so many pics. The soaking rapids ride and of course, Voyage. Tex, Will, DANCE! Time for our picnic lunch buffet. Wait a second, since when did we become a show!? Eh, maybe not... ACErs and their vandalism. I'm still craven the Raven though! By taking this picture, I'm now on Chris' "People to hunt down" list. Time to satisfy the craven. Thank you Legend. Thumbs up for bloody thumbs! How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? The Legend of mediocre wood coasters. Hi Laura. "I'm not afraid to use this bear mace on you. Whoops, crapped my adult undergarments." Save Thanksgiving? From who? Kim Jong Il? Now time for the shoo... I mean "calling" dark ride. "I love you Pepsi." - Homer J. Simpson Jesus died on the cross for free soda at Holiday World. And a poor man's ORP! [i'm in the dark orange shirt] And its awoken, and I rode it. I am thankful for good wood. So close... Look at that fine craftsmanship. The Logs were testing during our walkback. Look at those sticks. The Legend. Yeah... As Casey would put it... "LESS IS MORE!" For those of you who love scrapyard pictures. Raven looks so innocent during the day. I will not make a stupid through the trees joke, I will not make a stupid through the trees joke... Our day started with a walkback through the woods of the Raven and Legend. Chuck is "Craven the Raven, maybe something else too..." Waiting for the park to open. Raven starts to test. Wow, we're special. Oh, hey Will! The entrance of Holiday World. Just like Wally World! After two hours of looking at corn, you see this huge pile of timber.
  19. Raven was totally awesome at night. Great TR so far Erik.
  20. Geez I look creepy in my photo. I still feel dirty paying $2 to ride a kiddie ride.
  21. Nope, I had no mishaps with the cameras at FoF yesterday. If anything, FoF at KI is a mediocre spaghetti bowl that's overtrimmed.
  22. Bumping this topic back up. Any good resizers for Vista. The Powertoy for XP won't work with Vista and the one I downloaded leaves a watermark.
  23. ^^Phantom's Revenge had nut-squashing airtime. ^Shari, thanks for usage of your kid in order to whore out Little Bill. I still feel dirty about that. I seriously hope the ops joined our site though, I think that was half of the fun of credit whoring.
  24. A Chick-Fil-A meal at the Cincinnati Airport, $5. Eating 12 nuggets really fast while trying not to miss your flight, priceless.
  25. Terry surprisingly wins the creepy Photo TR award for the Midwest trip. Can't wait for the rest.
