The Official Nintendo Wii Discussion Thread
Homer replied to MiamiBoii4392's topic in Random, Random, Random
Good news everyone, Nintendo now dominates the world, again! http://www.vgchartz.com/ The Wii is currently outselling the 360 worldwide by a small margin. So guys, you know what that means, lets party. -
Maverick - Is it worth the wait?
Homer replied to jason10's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Spiders everywhere at CP? I take it you haven't been to Indiana Beach yet. Anyways, Maverick worth a several hour wait? I'd say 90 minutes for me. However, you could be hardcore and wait 8 hours like some people did on the Midwest trip. I personally liked Maverick so much that it became my 3rd favorite coaster. Like fitness said, if you have patience, wait. -

Never did I think a post over at ThrillNetwork could dig up a little spoonful of info. Supposedly, some suits called "Nantimi" were over at Hershey yesterday. A link was posted to a web design company that has a deal with Hershey, probably to do website design for the announcement. http://nantimi.com/ So, I think this rules as a huge new ride by now. Keep speculating guys, we know this "Nantimi" company is a cover up for "Intamin" .

I like the Mythbusters, but did anybody catch the Robot Chicken spoof with Jamie's exaggerated mustache and the Ghostbusters portrayal? NWS: http://www.adultswim.com/video/?episodeID=8a25c392146def1901147016ab5600cc

The Official "TPR MidWest USA 2007" Trip Thread!
Homer replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
^I seriously think you guys should become dam builders or something. It didn't stop, but they did pretty much slow down the stream. It was amazing just looking at the mass amount of water behind their raft though. -
The Official "TPR MidWest USA 2007" Trip Thread!
Homer replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Another great update and... We <3 you Bryan! Yes, but the log flume and special effects were down, if you read the report, Timber Falls was basically struck by lightning and the only three things to do there. Basically, they were Avalanche, Mini Golf, or the upcharge Skyscraper. It did look like a cool log ride though. Not that I would have done it since I was still soaked from Dive to Atlantis. -
Cora's Midwest Sketchbook TR!
Homer replied to Roy56's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cora, better than any of the MS Paint TR's I have done in the past. -
LoCoSuMo and Disaster Transport are the two big "WTF" rides in America. Lost Coaster has the "Bear w/Mardi Gras Beads" and the funny talking skeleton. Disaster Transport is just neon paint splattered randomly, a "dark ride" with no real special effects, and of course, the grand finale with the sign saying "Welcome to Alaska."

Mirabilandia Discussion Thread
Homer replied to momo1tx's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just like the Top Gun accident at Great America years back. Man goes into fenced off area, tries to retrieve his wife's hat, bam. And people, if its fenced off, don't go in there! I feel sorry for the widow, but the guy should at least have some common sense. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
Homer replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If anything, flat ride or family area. Then again, I just wish CP would kind of update their water park. It looked so old (and I barely saw people in there, too). Also, I think the park needs a new family area since the three they already have seem out of date (do kids these days know who Snoopy is?). Just a thought though. -

More awesome pics Hanno. My smile looked retarded in one of the Avalanche pics though. And Bryan, we miss you. -

Great TR Will, it is still kinda sad to see Geauga Lake being kinda abysmal with attendance. -
Unanswered/Dumb Question-Dumb Answer game

Because the PS3 is the greatest gaming machine to grace the store shelves with high quality titles and the Blu-Ray Disc format. Have you seen my tacos? -
[To the mods: I know there was a thread made earlier, but it was locked since it seemed like pure "fanboy rumor." Do what you want with this topic if need be.] Anyways, Screamscape posted something about Hershey's website having some teasers and sounds like another "hype machine" for a new ride announcement. http://www.hersheypa.com/attractions/hersheypark/index.php http://www.hersheypa.com/attractions/hersheypark/2008.php All we know is "What's better than a perfect 10?" and that the announcement would be on October 2nd. I certainly hope its big. Discuss on what could possibly be better than a perfect 10.

^I thought it was Georgia that was slated for the scrap heap. SFGAm's Deja Vu actually ran decently. -
Disney's Flying Saucers
Homer replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
1. I bet it was probably Walt himself that designed this ride. 2. I think it was probably similar to that UFO/Flying Saucer bumper cars ride that is in RCT. -

F150 is a truck in the Ford F-series in America. Wikipedia has a lot more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_F-Series Anyways, sounded like a bad accident, always think twice before turning (especially right turns, you don't want to nail a pedestrian you did not see on the right, do you?). Glad your safe, but that sucks about the car and being a permit driver.

Did you not ask the ops for sexual favors? Freddy, great TR so far. Just a question, whats to get about Legend?

Photo TR: Homer's Midwest Trip Review Extravaganza
Homer replied to Homer's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Day 2.5: Beech Bend - Future Jeff Foxworthy Routine. So, I was eagerly awaiting Beech Bend for two reasons. One, Rumbler of course, practically the reason to visit this park. The other, to meet up with a girl named Allison I've been meaning to meet for a few years. She happened to be at Beech Bend that day so... lets review the day! If there's anything else I could say about the park, I seriously hope they kinda make the park look more "concrete" (not too concrete like Cedar Fair parks). I just don't want to feel like I am at a carnival and hopefully Rumbler makes this park skyrocket in popularity. It has potential, I just hope over time it doesn't seem so "carny." #51- Dragon (2/10) Meh, another Orient Express, but a bit painful on the lift. Whee... #52- Looping Star/Brief Encounter/Dora (3/10) Somewhat rough, but it made T2 seem even MORE painful. #53- Wild Mouse (6/10) Really fun spinning Wild Mouse. Despite slow loadings, the ops were really fun and this mouse spun... ALOT. Good times. #54- Kentucky Rumbler (8/10) The only reason to visit this park, a nice hour of ERT, and we had the GCI guys with us. Here's hoping Gwazi gets those MILF [Millennium Flyer] trains (they were comfortable on Rumbler). The ride itself, good fun, surprise airtime, tosses you around alot (not painful). Overall great fun. And we will end this trip review with ducks. So drat cute. Apparently, TPR fangirls are a rarity. You're Welcome Alison! Wii. Rumbler in the sunset. Mmm. Mmm, Rumbler. The op (guy with mic) had alot of personality and thoroughly studied RCDB. Did you know Rumbler goes 400 miles per hour? No? Well, now you know! Now on to the best ride in the park by a million miles. Unless its the Haunted House (which I never got a chance to do ) Your park might be a redneck park if you can't afford dumpsters. (puts gun to head for making a really horrible joke) It was fun and the ops here had personality and they make sure you spin... ALOT. Angled Mouse. Rodents, this ride IS Elissa friendly, right? Whats next? None other than the first Spinning Mouse of the trip! I've just sealed my virginity in a Ziploc bag by taking this picture and writing this TR. D-d-d-d-d-Dora! It looks painful from the queue. Its a star at the park... What coaster is this? This ride did not have the "Key West lifestyle" down. First coaster of the day, the Dragon. Ugh painful lift... Welcome to Beech Bend. Today's special guest: Allison! (she posts more often over at CoasterForce, but whatever)
