Air Diver from FABBRI
Homer replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I agree with Quaker, a unique flat and an intense looking drop, but after that... its just, eh... -
I am not bracing much from this storm except for high wind gusts (74 mph expected in my area, so not much). Also, school got cancelled in my area. I love hurricane days!

Final Farewell Astroworld Photos
Homer replied to Mark Rosenzweig's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
All of those pictures showed Astroworld off nicely. Some of it looks retro, other parts looks like a typical Six Flags park. Astroworld, from the pics I have seen, looks like it has a unique niche in Houston's history. Great photos! -
(cocks gun to head) (shoots gun) Advice to the girl, no guy would hit you, not even a 38 year old Star Wars fan that lives in his mom's basement that has yet to lose his virginity. Also, pop is crap... Anyways, Robb, find that girl... and do the American way of suing their butts off. But not this case, shes dirt poor, so you'd only walk away with $3 and some pocket lint.

What does a Texas Tornado and a Tennessee Divorce have in common? Both result in the loss of a trailer. What has 500 legs and only 4 teeth? The front row of a Willie Nelson concert.

My current wall, just a quickie I made of my favorite Schwarzkopf, Mindbender at SFOG. ITS MINDBENDING!

Stand up coasters...any good?
Homer replied to MARK's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've ridden two, Mantis (CP) and Georgia Scorcher (SFOG). Mantis, a little bit rough, but what do you expect from older B&M's? Georgia Scorcher was an awesome ride! Its forceful, fun, and full of headchoppers. It almost reminded me of what Schwarzkopf would have designed. But one thing irks me, when B&M were designing the Stand-up coaster, why did they not think of thier man-parts when designing the trains? -
I play Sonic the Hedgehog, but have yet to go at supersonic speeds and defeat a greedy, power hungry fatass in some robotic vehicle.

Funzones Trent Park [RCT2]
Homer replied to Homer's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^LOL, Ed. Anyways, another update, Sky Glider, an Arrow Dynamics suspended coaster built in 1986 was added. Featuring many swinging moments, this park classic has been a hit with the families at the Street Fair section of the park. Other ride(s) in the Street Fair include Thrill Towers, a quad tower complex that rises 250 feet in the air, with two towers that shoot you up or down. Added in 1999, it has quickly become a park icon alongside the Eagle Eye Ferris Wheel. Comments? An overview of what has been added. -
SFI Spills the Beans a bit
Homer replied to ParkTrips's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Uhh, Zonga is at SFMW, not Astroworld... Chances are, its Viper, because the park already has a shuttle coaster (Flashback), unless the park wanted a launched ride, then it would be Greezed Lightnin'. -
SFOG Goliath - 2 pics
Homer replied to Dr Freeze's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The structure being built is NOT the station, those are the transfer track/storage areas. -
I have a siamese cat named Sasha, still hyperactive for a cat its age (8 yrs.). My cat, watching Tommy Boy on TV. (My cat has good taste in comedy, I know...)

Does Anyone Want to Meet Up in Key West Feb 18th?
Homer replied to PhishyBrewer's topic in Random, Random, Random
I was watching the Weather Channel just now. The Keys have issued a mandatory evacuation for tourists, which means... DON'T GO! -Carl "Sorry, but its for your own good" F. -
Sorry for the crude Flintstone's reference, couldn't help it... http://www.weather.com/newscenter/tropical/?from=wxcenter_news If you live in SW Florida, keep an eye on this monster. Anyways, Wilma is the most intense recorded hurricane to date, with extremely low pressure. Currently at a catastrophic category 5 with winds of 175 MPH, its likely the storm would lose strength, but can still be a killer storm. I just hope this storm stays south of the keys (which is in the cone of probability, or as I would like to say, getting screwed).

I saw the premiere episode last night on rerun, HILARIOUS. I liked the Dictionary rant and the 5 thing threatening America. The potty training one was random and I laughed at when he did an absorbency test with a patriotic diaper. "These diapers don't run!" -Stephen Colbert on 10-week old Potty Training.

Retro Photo TR: Busch Gardens Tampa 1970
Homer replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Holy crap, Busch looked so... open. Anyways, the old swiss house thing? I think around the late 80's, early 90's, it was renovated into the Crown Colony House it is today. And Nrthwnd, you also would have gotten a kickass Schwarzkopf credit (Scorpion) as well if you went to Busch in 1987. -
Best and Worst Organised Queues
Homer replied to downunder's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Best queues: Any of the lines at IOA, well themed, well organised. Alright lines: Mindbender at SFOG, I got lost in the queue line, I ended up going through the woods of Mindbender's queue, really nice, but it sort of wasted my time. A little disorganised, but nice. Worst Lines; I don't really have a worst line... -
If you ask me, this movie was made just to cash in the trend amongst Goth/Emo kids by marketing a new "Nightmare Before Christmas-esque" movie. And I would have to agree with what a member on TN said, its basically Hot Topic: The Movie.
