^Well, sooner or later in the ride the restraint will go further down. And also, people mention the restraints are tight but that's not really the problem. On many intamin accelerator coasters (like kingda ka) the OTSR will be very tight when the ride is over but that's it: you only really notice it when you come to a stop (or a less intense moment). Even if skyrush's restraints didn't move one inch down since you leave the station, it would be just as uncomfortable (because the pain comes from being pulled up by those -2 Gs and having that rather small area of restraint holding you). I doubt B&M hypers would be painful it the restraints got as tight as skyrush's (it would just be boring). -

^How cool would it be to have a furius baco style low fast heartline roll right after the drop? -

Not how forceful the coaster is, but the launch. You can see that the most forceful launches out there are S&S's compressed air ones and intamin's hydraulic launches. I don't know how dodonpa is in terms of reliability but I doubt it is as good as a standard LSM coaster and as to intamin's system, well, let's say reliability is not its strong point. You could have really forceful LSM launches but then it would use a lot of power so, in a way, I would say there is a certain relation between how forceful and efficient a launch is and its reliability. -
Too much force or Not Enough?
rcjp replied to Rocket Rodder's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
True. If a ride has one of these issues then being forceful might only make the problem more noticeable, but it's not the problem on it's own. So if you have a really rough ride, being forceful can give you headaches but if it were smooth it would be fine (BTR clones). I've never ridden a coaster I found uncomfortable because it was too forceful. -

New Wanda Parks in China.
rcjp replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
New record breaker accelerator with a loop on the return. A little addition to the one trick pony. Will have to wait to see some more info on it, and if it actually gets built. Yeah, I wonder if it really will happen. If it does, isn't it a bit odd that they advertise it as higher than Ka yet not as fast? Anyway, It would be really cool to see such a colossal loop getting built. -

^Me too. Even thought the ride's airtime moments give me some serious pain I would like to try the lift at full speed in the back. -

^Isn't that part still as fast? I have only ridden it after they slowed it down and what I felt was that it went out of the station pretty fast and then when the whole train was already on the lift itself it would accelerate even more. It would only slow down when the train reached the top. -

They do look heavier than intamin's. With furius baco being the only intaming accelerator wing coaster you can see that the weight affects the launch as it isn't as forceful as others (it takes the same time to hit 84 mph as kingda ka takes to hit 128). It might have six cars (while the other have a maximum of five) but I imagine the the fact that they are wing trains will have the biggest influence. I don't know how much each ones weigh but with B&M's version being more complex (while intamin's is a simple beam with seats mounted on top) I assume they will be heavier. -

^If it is upside down then no, it's not airtime (but hangtime) but sideways it's still air.

False. The person below me would like to be eating chocolate now.

Yes. Do you like TTD better than Kinda Ka?

^I haven't ridden one but I imagine that's how they're shaped: a 0 g parabola hill with some curvature so that, when going sideways, you get air.

^Like I said, I haven't tried a swooping without one but I like the ones which do have one are nice as you get to pick up some speed. The first one that pops into my mind is Talon's as (in the back) you do get whipped to the left as the track starts twisting (more than other inverts I've ridden). -
