  1. ^I remember that. That's why I'm especially looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
  2. It'll interesting too see how this compares to intamin's version in practice, as on paper it looks really good.
  3. Sounds really cool! But then all these projects do . . . However, given then number of visitors it has maybe it would work. Oh, and I like how the wing coaster artwork looks like furius baco.
  4. ^That was the case with gatekeeper, right? However, as I don't know much about the testing process, I have no idea if that's usually the case or just done on some coasters.
  5. The park is looking really good! (and with some nice rides)
  6. ^I wouldn't be so confident but I guess you can count on some floater air.
  7. My first ride on it, when the trim was off, was really quite fun. If it was never on I would rank it fairly higher as it does make a difference.
  8. ^Budapest? I wonder why.
  9. ^They could also have the train stopping on the turn but I've heard somewhere that the drive tires on that section aren't powerful enough to get the train moving from a complete stop.
  10. ^True, but I think his point is it could have been done differently. They could, for example, make the launch track start outside the station so that the train on the brakes could move into the station just as the other one was dispatched. if it rolled back, it would stop in the end of the launch track - just ahead of the other train. Either that or doing it so that as soon as one train cleared the loop the other would start entering the station and not have to go round a turn before doing so.
  11. and Dumber
  12. ^That's pretty good! Still it must mean they have to work harder than they would in order to get the same time with no seatbelts.
  13. True. That is very useful as you then don't have to slowly walk towards the exit due to people ahead of you. I also unbuckle the seats next to me if they're empty to help.
  14. I assume that would mean it would no longer be the world's tallest coaster as I doubt the tower would be just 42 feet taller than the ride, right?
  15. ^Great. I was wondering if they would use the holding brake on the fist runs and I guess not.
  16. ^Nice! Can't wait to see that huge loop going up.
  17. ^ And don't forget that in some woodies there is a relatively long time between the train in the station starting to leave and the one behind coming to a complete stop as the use of friction brakes rather than drive tires means it'll take longer to get the train moving and then getting it to stop in exactly the right place. By the way, for those who know, I've noticed most steel coasters (especially modern ones) are very precise in the place where they stop in the station when using tires while I get the impressions that some older ones (and most woodies) must not hit the exact same spot every time as the brakes are less precise. Is this really the case? And is there a "greater tolerance" about the place in the station where these rides must stop?
  18. ^Nice! Can't wait for a video.
  19. Yes. Have you ridden more than two SLCs?
  20. Hasn't it been like that for a few years? Some cars/trains with the covers on and others with none?
  21. ^And the only one with a MCBR. In fact, the only coaster above 300 ft with one.
  22. ^It should be really close if they're adjusting the size of the holes like that (with the ride envelope)
