  1. ^That's kind of what I thought too. Nice to see vertical construction has begun, this will be one hell of a drop ride!
  2. Awesomeness
  3. "What is the craziest idea anyone has asked you to build?" Thorsten Koebele (Mack Rides): -"Have a ride which is 250 m (820 ft) high." That would be awesome! I quite liked the new format, as pointed out, the answers had been the same for a while and this format made things more interesting. Nice coverage!
  4. Let me add something: Non silver bullet-like B&M invert. That's better
  5. ^^I suppose the only way of having a guarantee that a coaster will be the tallest for a while would be to build one that was so tall that the amount of money involved would stop other parks from breaking that record soon but I don't see that happening soon at all. Still, as many here have said this does look great and it is a very original concept. I will definitely ride it once I have the chance.
  6. Well I have to admit that I'm slightly disappointed that this is how the 500 ft mark will be surpassed: Don't get me wrong, I mean, I'm glad they're building this ride and it sure looks impressive but, you know, I was imagining a "normal coaster" breaking this record with a 500 ft tall tophat or a lift hill and 500 ft drop. Still very impressive, though.
  7. Well at last some testing. Is this ride still supposed to open this year?
  8. Well that GCI sure looks good and holy crap it's massive!
  9. ^I went to Hershey for the first time this year too and LOVED it. Storm runner is also my favorite one there and my 2nd favorite overall (I just wish it was a bit longer). Nice update and it's a shame that your camera died.
  10. Oh that mini millennium car looks so cute... By the way, how is that gatekeeper car there? Is it an extra one or has it come from CP?
  11. Looking forward to some updates too. Let's see what this year's IAAPA has to offer.
  12. Green
  13. That theming looks awesome! I wonder if it will actually look that way once it's finished. According to RCDB it will be called Travel through Europe which, judging by the pictures, makes sense. I had king of forgotten the X-train but it sure looks nice.
  14. I rode Maxair at CP and it was great: really smooth, pulls some nice Gs every time it reaches the bottom at full speed and provides some great weightlessness. My only Huss experience so far but it was a pretty good one.
  15. Comet - Hershey
  16. Morgan
  17. ^Aren't the lift and station the only bits of arrow track left? I have the idea that they gradually replaced all the parts of the old track throughout the layout until those were the only ones left.
  18. Cedar Fair
  19. Wow, it really is cool to see how spread out this ride will be and how it will interact with the area. Definitely one of the rides I'm looking forward to the most next year!
  20. I know this is probably completely unnecessary but, if I'm honest, out of all the rides I've been on that have seat belts I've never had any reason to complain as the bigger difference is only felt when the restraints themselves are looser (unlike these ones or the ones on RMC's hybrids). I suppose it would be a tiny bit more comfortable if there weren't any but I don't mind them that much. Still, it's just unnecessary.
  21. For some reason I get the idea that lighter trains achieve higher speeds on the drops more easily but then lose more than the heavier ones in the high elements. I don't know why but that's the feeling I get, sometimes with floorless vs sitting models (does anyone know if floorless trains are heavier than sitting ones? They somehow look that way but I'm not sure). Anyway, if they have less rows they at least appear to move a bit more quickly through some elements (to me).
  22. Boomerang - Sidewinder (Hershey) this year Invertigo - Stinger (Dorney) this year too GIB - Stunt Fall (Warner) 2006 Mine Train - Big Thunder Mountain (Disneyland Paris) 1999 I have no idea how I haven't done any SLC yet: it's a massive flaw in my coaster experience!
  23. I'm quite looking forward to seeing how this rides turns out to be. The concept looks quite good, following the megalite idea. The only Morgan I've been on was steel force and it was good fun and, from what I've heard; phantom's revenge has some nice air to it. Nice!
  24. Hahaha, that's awesome!! It does look really good, specially for an indoor ride.
