  1. Well, that would certainly make it even more intense! Not that I think it needs it, they just should stop decelerating the cars on the top of the lift.
  2. ^It wouldn't be perfect but still much better. However, for some reason, I found the restraints on SR a lot more comfortable than the ones on Fahrenheit which is odd because they're the same. They were a bit uncomfortable through the first seconds of the ride while on Storm Runner I never had any complaints whatsoever, maybe it has to do with the way your feet and legs are placed as the cars are different.
  3. ^That's great. Now that made me want to listen to muse, so - Supermassive Black Hole
  4. Well, I would be quite afraid of getting puked all over, so....

  7. I've actually never tried a top spin. It just doesn't seem very appealing to me. So I don't really know how far I could take it, but this just looks SICK!
  8. ^Yeah, you're probably right. But we don't know exactly how it affects the park itself and if they would think the best to do really would be having new ones. Well, the fact is I have no idea how much replacing the restraints would cost. Also, does anyone know how the process of designing them is? Shouldn't they know how comfortable restraints will be before putting them in a ride? They must be tested in some way, right?
  9. I've only been on two standups (Mantis and Green Lantern), both B&Ms. Mantis was a rather bad but GL, despite being a bit rough (closer to the back) in parts is a rather nice ride. Yes, my legs did suffer a bit (especially as I had platinum flash pass and rode it twice in a row each time) but I find the experience very interesting and, honestly, would like to see more getting built. So B&M wins by default (also considering what I've heard and read about stand ups in general).
  10. ^I guess they hurt some people more than others and it does make sense that a lot of guests will only ride it once and, therefore, the lines won't be long. Still, when I visited Hershey his summer the lines were no shorter than in their other rides and, at least in my case, the restraints did really hurt. And it's not a matter of being tight as that's something you only notice when the ride is over but it's that they are poorly designed. The part of them that actually holds your legs is no bigger than those roll shaped bars on some family rides. Besides, they do not secure you closer to the waist but more or less in the middle of your legs which only makes things more painful. I know it would be tricky to have similarly shaped restraints to the ones on B&M hypers as the fact that they are lowered instead of being pulled back means the shape has to be different. If I were to change them I would make them hold you closer to the waist, make them rounder (with a bigger diameter in the circular part) and give them two concave shapes (one for each leg) so that they would adjust properly. I'm not a designer but I guess that would improve the ride which is really the only thing left to make it perfect (in my opinion).
  11. I was at SFGAdv with a couple of friends and we were about to ride Kingda Ka. I was leaving the wc as this woman who works at my school said she wouldn't let me ride it because I hadn't washed my hands properly (which I never do but there was no soap!) Anyway, I was pretty pissed off.

  13. ^^^^Also the same. It's one of those coasters I really wish I could ride. I know it was rough as hell but it definitely didn't lack originality. And am I forgetting any ride or was this the only arrow with a normal corkscrew entry? Anyway, that drop looked great and I would like to see it appearing in future rides.
  14. ^But are you talking about adding topper track or iron horse? Because the second one would officially make it a steel coaster and, therefore, they wouldn't break any record (apart from tallest hybrid). But I suppose that, if asked, RMC could do what they have been doing with six flags only with topper track instead of the steel one which wouldn't be a bad idea either.
  15. That's weird. Aren't they supposed to be able to do it? I feel it's almost like a chain lift that can't get going again if they train stops for some reason (with the exception that, in that case, no one would be able to push the train).
  16. ^I think she was just being sarcastic.
  17. How about the world's first giga woody? (by RMC) CP really likes to break a few records now and then. I know that's not going to happen, though.
  18. How could I forget those? They look awesome! I also forgot to mention outlaw run's trains, which look pretty sweet.
  19. ^I get it. I feel the same way about the place where they keep the trains, I don't like to see them out in the open vulnerable to the elements.
