That plus another kamikaze being aimed at Mean Streak and hitting Maverick instead. What's worse than every B&M invert being replaced with an SLC?

What do you want to see in your home park in 2015?
rcjp replied to adamd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^The reason why we generally like B&M sitting models more is because of the layouts themselves, due to their intensity and "oldschoolness". As floorless rides came later they are usually less intense rides but I think having those trains on coasters like Kumba or Dragon Khan would be great as they would combine the extra freedom of the floorless ones with the forcefulness of the older rides. -
Can't believe they need a SIGN!

^Haha! That would be suitable for an SLC or something similar -

Does anyone happen to know how many brake fins there are on the after the roll on SUF at SFDK? Because this one appears to go through the roll a bit faster so I'm wondering if the number of fins is the same or not, just out of curiosity. By the way, there is a video on Coasterfriends from inside the station of a test run. -

I find it interesting that B&M have not gone with drive tyres at the start of the lift for this one. If I'm not mistaken, apart from the new dive machines, they've only done that with nemesis inferno and hydra which hit the lift pretty fast unlike this one. Speaking of tyres, I wonder why they put those on the brake run which has a clear downwards slope given that they're only necessary when the track is levelled or for transfer tracks, which isn't the case either. -

Looks cool. It's nice to know there is at least some noise from the track. -

^Yeah that makes sense. Anyway, either of them would be a lot better (assuming they could get rid of those trims) -

^The first one looks awesome. They also had an offride clip: -

^What about floorless trains? It would be more interesting, I think. -

I do think it will speed up now that I've seen a video where the camera is facing this guy and where you can sort of tell that it is going faster than in the official POV. -

Well that looks beautifully complex! I though that, in order to go vertical, the seats would just rotate but now it looks like they will sort of swing backwards -
Which park has the best Coaster Trio?
rcjp replied to yankeeman311's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's a very good one. Hershey has my second and third favourite rides (storm runner and skyrush) but then I'm not sure if I would put great bear or Fahrenheit right after those. They're both great fun with Fahrenheit having great moments of airtime (the drop and hill towards the end) and great bear having (in my opinion) a slightly better pacing and being very very solid. I didn't get to ride neither el toro nor maverick (both closed) but assume that, if I had, they would both fit in very good trios. Honourable mention to portaventura for DK and FB (both awesome) and shambhala which, despite not being near my top at all, is very solid with many moments of air and a great first drop. -

I wonder if he just lifted his t-shirt or if that was done by The Force of airtime! -

^Guilty. Also if when you see a top fuel dragster accelerating you wonder if any coaster will ever have a similar acceleration (that would be epic: 5 Gs!) -

rcjp replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The fact that Robb said that this will not only put the park on the map but also make it a "must go park" kind of makes me rule out a drop tower as, in my opinion, no matter how tall one can be (unless it is like one mile high) it'll never be something that would make a park so attractive just for having it. (but I suppose it could be one with some truly game changing feature which I can't really think of, so...) -

And if you like when pilots accidentally pull the plane up to fast during take off producing some Gs! And also would like to go through a massive air pocket in order to get zero geeee! -

I hope that was an empty train because the speed through the elements was not... well... high (at all). Still looks like decent fun. -

Something to keep in mind. I don't get excited over "gimmicks", I get excited over solid, awesome projects that have more than just "potential" to be a "World's Best." Well that can't be bad! Must mean it really is something epic! -
