  1. ^I'm not sure if it would be possible to have the drop tower follow the coaster as they reach different heights which would make things quite tricky. Still, the idea of a space shot is interesting even though, if I'm not mistaken, intamin hasn't made many at all.
  2. That first hill looks relatively tight, hopefully it will be the ejector type!
  3. What about a launched giga?
  4. I forgot to say this but I think Portaventura also deserves an honourable mention.
  5. One more for CP. It looks like you're getting to heaven as you approach the peninsula.
  6. ^Yeah when I saw there were those trims on the dive loop I though that would be the end of the ride but then it sort of goes on slowly. And I did also notice the nasty jerk on the outside banked turn. These el locos already look so funky and this one is even weirder!
  7. Gerstlauer
  8. I'm with you on that one. I like inversions (except for a few like heartline rolls) that provide positive Gs and will rather have negatives during airtime hills as, to me, there is nothing "special" about feeling yourself hanging during inversions because.. well... you're upside down while getting those on an airtime hills is more fun to me as it's something that's not, well ... normal.
  9. ^Which is curious, given that it was their first coaster around that range of 230-250 feet.
  10. ^Don't forget that 300 feet means nothing for most of us in Europe, you probably know that (given that you also live here). The 100 metres mark (328 feet) is something more significant, I would guess. I think it would be interesting too although I can't say I would rather have one over a strata.
  11. Don't worry. I've made the opposite mistake loads of times. When wanting to say CGI I tend to say GCI
  12. That roar is awesome! Finally a new B&M which is properly loud!
  13. ^and^^ Which part is not going to happen: soon or at all?
  14. ^Abrupt changes of direction may affect roughness but there are still some rides that manage to have those while being smooth, such as BTR at SFGAdv which I rode last year and was silky smooth despite all those snappy parts such as the corkscrews.
  15. ^The thing is, when they use the word accelerator they could be just talking about intamin hydraulic launched coasters (although I believe they mean launched rides in general) and the fact that they add the word vertical makes things even more confusing to me. Also I would find it a bit strange if the artist had bothered to draw the drop tower while it would be somewhere else. This may be just concept art but I'm sure there has to be some accuracy to it, right?
  16. Just watched non stop. Pretty much what I expected: no work of art but good fun to watch. I find it funny how now Liam Neeson only seems top play this type of character (or mostly does)
  17. ^I would imagine Kingda Ka attracts a lot of people as it is the world's tallest coaster, right? But if that 125 million number is true, well.... it's pretty nasty.
  18. ^That's what I thought too. They all looks like strata coasters!
  19. I would like to know if these people are confused in some way or simply lying for the sake of it.
  20. Wait: was Storm Runner's track like that when it was new? Because last year it looked more like orange to me. Glad it's getting some paint.
