  1. All KK is doing is trying to keep the water park family friendly by having a dress code just like HW. If the guy had gone to HW they would have done the same thing. Its just another case of someone trying to create bad publicity for a good thing like the other cases over the past couple of weeks.
  2. I think that they can expand in some of where the parking lot is now They would have to get permission from the Fair Board for that first, and seeing how much they use of the parking lot for the State Fair and how full the parking lots get for all the conventions and shows that happen I don't see the Fair Board allowing them to do that.
  3. you could be a dead ringer for Bert from Trip Flip aka Bert the Conqueror, you're not him are you?
  4. I think you are right about the water element and have figured from Day 1 PP's landing will be used in the expansion somehow. If I was a park manager and I took out a ride if I wasn't using the splash down portion in the future why would I leave the concrete channel, why not just take it out. If I wasn't planning on re-using it I would just take the concrete out and fill in with dirt and I'd still be able to maintain the surprise. I'm really starting to think it will like Aquatrax & Verbolten romancing either other and having a Vertrax baby
  5. the tower climb looks like it was awesome, and definitely qualifies as a "Never ever ever in America".
  6. here's a what-if that I just had after reading today's clue..... a wooden roller coaster with no splash down at all, and a new log flume with a ship voyage theme using pp's splash down and removing frightful falls, that would give them space in Halloween that they could expand Halloween to. When I look at the deck of the ship, I remind myself that this wood was once part of a towering tree. And I remind myself that we will one day see trees again when we reach the New World. - See more at: http://www.holidayworld.com/66days/#sthash.NcrVmh73.dpuf
  7. Welcome to America, land of bureaucratic red tape & crumbling infrastructure.
  8. I'm thinking the possibility of something similar to the Seven Dwarves Mine Train ride. I could see how they could model individual cars as ships and it would have the rocking motion like a ship would have and hasn't been thrown out there yet.
  9. Based on today's clue, it may not be popular with coaster enthusiasts on what they're building: "A growing number of passengers whisper concerns that we made a poor choice in joining this voyage. How do we help them find courage? - See more at: http://www.holidayworld.com/66days/#sthash.StEW6xFR.dpuf" Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that's my whole interpretation. Just like the year they were building up to the Mammoth announcement which turns out to be a bigger version of Wildebeest.
  10. whatever happened to the whole covered bridge thing that was suppose to appear this year?
  11. Trying to talk wife into it... might take some convincing.
  12. A haunted house would be awesome. HW unofficially does have a tunnel of love, the dark long tunnel of Frightful Falls. If not a haunted house, at least some haooween theming in the tunnel to add a little bit of excitement.
  13. The more and more I think of it, the more it makes sense. They took the tower down for PP/Giraffica but they left the concrete trough in place. it would be cheaper to build a Mack water coaster since you have the main splashdown area, station, and return to station already in place. You would only need to build the coaster track part. I could easily see how they could still wind it up & over Hyena Falls and intertwine it with the Voyage. No long naming meeting here, you just bring back the Pilgrims Plunge name and you're all set to go.
  14. The dark block also looks like a tunnel entrance to me.
  15. It'll be interesting to see how they do a whole Thanksgiving area expansion without cutting off Hyena Falls and the bumper boats from the rest of the waterpark. I always that was an odd placement for Hyena Falls.
  16. All of the Cedar Point team could go down and crash Kings Island coasting for kids event.
  17. Double agree, considering the shape of the park and that the coasters had trees growing up through the tracks and water slides not being winterized, I'm amazed at all the things Ed Hart & KK have accomplished in just 2 yrs time. The park is really nice and once they finish putting the final touches on everything and get things smoothed out, its going to be an awesome park and the not having to drive a hour in either direction is a very very big bonus!
  18. I'm thinking something similar to verbolten, especially after today's clue basically saying not all of the seasick were females and the children. It sounds like its going to be packing a powerful punch.
  19. Okay, you had me with this statement! Seriously though, the park looks great and I am glad to see that they were able to rehab. It looked so desolate and run down when I was down there for a convention two years ago. On another note, I found the concept of the one lazy river with no inner tubes to be intriguing. Is there a current that pulls you around the river and you just float/swim? Thanks for sharing, Chad...great report! The new river is an adventure river, its much much faster than the lazy river. They don't give out inter tubes but they do have foam boogie boards or foam noodles you can use or you can just float and the current will push you without anything. If you step out into the middle from the walk-in entrance it will push you off your feet if you are not careful.
  20. The reason for waterslides not opening till 4 is because today is the last day of school and most of the lifeguards are high school students, now that school will be out starting Monday, the water slides should be open all day with more available staff.
  21. I'm thinking so as well, and it'll be themed to an ocean voyage with a splashdown type affect using PP/Giraffaca remains.
  22. The pit could possibly be a dark section with a vertical drop maybe.
  23. My other complaint about yesterday was my youngest son couldn't go on Himalaya because the height minimum is 60". I've never seen a Himalaya with that tall of of a Height Requirement. I love those rides but no music, no lights, no backwards, and wasn't all that fast so made for a boring Himalaya ride. I'm hoping they get that fixed soon.
  24. the newly smoothed out & much improved Thunder Run, lets hope they add a 2nd train soon.
