  1. Unfortunately I won't be there for Holiwood nights due to other commitments but I will be there all day Friday with my youngest son's field trip. It'll be interesting never volunteered to be a chaperon on a field trip before.
  2. Looking at that overhead view to me it sure looks like it could be a possible Aquatrax layout. The reason I say this is not much room back in that corner for a big que so I'm thinking its going to be the Giraffica/PP station, the first hill is going to dive over top of the rollout out of Voyages 2nd hill and curve around back to the station. It'll either go out or come in between Hyena Falls and Voyage given the survey markers. I don't see them circling Hyena Falls and now the kiddie bumper boats and then deciding oh, we will just circle both in with the Thanksgiving expansion. An Aquatrax ride would fill the void left from Giraffica and still be accessible from the water park side and the amusement park side. Just speculating but this seems the most logical.
  3. He was talking about the footer plan, coasterradio has written a blog about it and they're the ones that put the shredded packing paper back together.
  4. Why are you so persistent about a floorless??? Have you even ridden a Floorless? They aren't that appealing to begin with. Having ridden Hydra (Allentown is closer than Orlando) and Kraken, they are nothing to write to home about. B&M is just unrealistic for Holiday World's market. I also do not want a B&M to begin with. Having ridden Manta, I put my money on Mack. One more thing, as much as I would like this to be intense and thrilling, HW needs an in-between coaster to fill the gap from the Howler to the Raven. Needless to say, that doesn't mean it can't be awesome! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that feels this way, a good intermediate is exactly what HW needs, when little ones outgrow the Howler the Raven can be kind of intense for a bigger coaster for a young child.
  5. If I remember right didn't the Holiblog initially say its going to be a $13.1 million dollar project? I'm thinking probably about the size of The Legend possibly which would fit that money figure.
  6. I'm still thinking a wood coaster with a steel frame and from the emphasis on the children at the website, it sounds to me like it will be very family friendly. Just my take on the emphasizing of "children".
  7. I think I agree with you, still a water based ride, part steel coaster, and it could be themed to a sailing ship and it would still be family friendly like HW would want.
  8. I picked up on the wood blocks too, that's why I'm leaning towards a woody too.
  9. You're welcome! What was your favorite part? ... and did you take note we had not one - but two - types of gravy on the buffet? Now there's a hint... Its a new dueling gravy boat wood roller coaster!
  10. I'm thinking you maybe right, RMC is the hottest & in most demand company right now.
  11. True, but originally it was included in the Thanksgiving area so it still counts.
  12. As long as it doesn't take them a half-eternity to build it... Well since it's not a Disney attraction, It will get built within a year. I'm thinking a moto-x launched coaster but instead of motorcycles it will be themed with individual wooden sailing ship, that would be cool
  13. sounds like a major Thanksgiving area expansion, that is all I can figure. Mayflower is just the beginning of it this year.
  14. Seasonal parking passes are also $75 to all fairground events, including KK. My wife and I are seriously thinking about the parking passes to go along with our first time ever season passes... The parking would pay for itself in just 10 visits and I foresee lots of visits to KK this summer... there goes all my vacation days...
  15. The opening to that video makes me feel old, I remember being 6 yrs old and seeing it on commercials. I always thought that the Bat & Beast commercials were awesome. Thanks for the flashback.
  16. well said Ape, I was born in Cincy and lived there until I was 10 or 11. I definitely agree with this one.
  17. that was my bad, I re-watched the video and they're there. I missed them the first time but still what an incredible ride, it makes you forget you are on a roller-coaster and more like a runaway train.
  18. At least they removed the brakes on the downhill plunge into the spiral from what I could tell.
  19. I still say the best type of coaster for HW would be an intermediate size coaster. I have 2 young boys that are 12 & 11 who want to love coasters but are still wary of them. We go to the park and they've out grown the little coaster and they don't feel ready for Raven let alone Legend or Voyage yet. I think a coaster kind of like the beastie (sorry I only remember the name from when I was their age not the new name). It would be a good next step up for a park that prides itself being a family park. A good coaster that children could ride as they get older to transition from the kiddie coasters to the full size coasters.
  20. I see your point but I don't really see them putting a major coaster right there next to the star of the park, Voyage, it will definitely interesting to see their solution though especially with the new owners in charge.
