"Okay, but just because a ride is featured on a website doesn't mean that it's going to be the one that's going to be installed." (The Disneylander) I figured that, but I was just illustrating a possibility. Chances are, no, that isn't what's coming. That is just a stock photo used on the various Six Flags park sites. Eric

"No, we actually talked about our families, kids and other stuff. Didn't really talk about the park at all!" (Robb) WUT'S TEH MATTR WITH U?!?!21?! You could have gotten some good inside info! Seriously, whenever I run into Jay at SFMM, we talk a little about our families and non-park stuff, too. Information about the new ride will surface soon enough. Eric

I really wish I'd gone out to see this when I was in Amarillo back in 2005. Funny thing...from a distance, it almost looks like a Vekoma SLC train buried upside down with its seats sticking straight up. Eric

^ AMEN on your last one regarding restrooms. Whether at a park or anywhere, I've never understood why people either weren't taught or just choose to ignore basic restroom habits. Keep it as clean as possible, wash your hands, and flush the toilet. It's really not that hard. Eric

"To be honest, I am NOT a racist....it's just a trend I noticed within a certain group of people" (zenechai) My sentiments exactly. The fact is that some groups do certain things certain ways. In my 50 years on the planet, I've done a lot of observing. I don't hate anyone from a different race; I just acknowledge that there are differences, like it or not. We're all equal, just in different ways. Some people just have an itchy trigger finger when it comes to playing the race card. But if someone needs to call me a racist, be my guest. Anyway...Knott's...maybe I just missed it, but is the deal that you buy a toy at a merchandise location inside the park, then take the toy to Guest Relations for the free ticket for a future visit, or can you apply that to the current visit? Eric

^^ I would think that if that Roller Skater does in fact belong to the City of New Orleans, the city would gladly make them a deal to buy it---if only to get the ride off of their hands. Why would a city want to store old amusement rides if someone is willing to buy them? Without a doubt, we'll have all the details within a few weeks. Eric

"I'd make you a cake if you weren't so far away!" (Brandy524) I appreciate the offer...but you'll have to work with Splenda... Eric

TPR Goes to IAAPA 2009 - Photos & Videos from the show!

One thing I found funny was how this show was right next to a monorail (the Las Vegas Monorail) I wonder how many people actually took the monorail to the show...? Eric -
We have to remember, too, that "family" rides is not limited to coasters. Of course, though, that's what SFMM is known for. Even if this Roller Skater is what the park opens next year, I do hope that a spinner and/or wild mouse is in the works as well. Those are good family rides and there are a few spots in the park where they'd fit. Eric

"It's for a 3-year-old, so she's really not going to care." (Brandy524) If it was for a certain 50-year-old (see left), I don't think he'd care. Ever think of opening your own shop? I bet you'd be pretty busy! Eric "was the Tin Man for Halloween one year" L.

"Any more input regarding that? Like what's included? I know about the coupon book, but not sure if paying double for an AP would be worth it." (Zenechai) Allow me to answer this: With the regular season pass, you get: A coupon booklet with about $300 worth of coupons. Free admission each visit (save $54 each time). With the Xtreme Play Pass, you get: A coupon booklet with about $300 worth of coupons. Free admission each visit (save $54 each time). Free parking each visit (save $15 each time). 25% off of food and select merchandise (not including food from vendor carts). I get the Xtreme Pass every year, but you decide what's best for you depending on how many times you visit. Eric
