I try to get to SFMM and be in line by 9:30 or so. Sometimes they open the gates early, sometimes they don't. I couldn't care less about X or Psyclone, so I don't ride those, but I like to ride everything else. One good thing is that you can go through any line with a season pass now. Eric

^ Xcelerator opened in 2002, and, no, they haven't repainted it. But it has faded very badly. Eric

They repainted Boomerang, Jaguar!, and Montezooma's Revenge last year or the year before, I believe. I hadn't heard about Silver Bullet, though. Rides need to be repainted more often because new formulations of them (without lead) don't hold their color very long. My guess is that since rides need repainting anyway, Knott's chooses to give them new colors. That does make them look new, which pleases guests. Eric

Nice report, Wally! Funny thing, in all of my 46 years in California, I have yet to visit our state capital. I've been through there a couple of times on the freeway, though. But one day I'll have to actually get out of my car there. A few points... Those light rail cars came through Port Hueneme (where I work). I saw them on trucks leaving the harbor. "Found what I really want for Christmas!" Yeah, that is a nice tree... I see you like a little bagel with your cream cheese... Did Arnold and those others let you take that shot, or did you get it somewhere else? Having time to yourself is priceless. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. Eric

The other day, I was at a Jack in the Box (sort of a restaurant ) and this kid kept getting up on the seat and staring at me. I heard him tell his mom, while looking at me, "Yeah, he's still there." WTF did that mean?!?! I wanted to go over and tell her, "Y'know, I like kids...just not yours!" Eric
