"I don't even think people saw things in color, cause my memories of this day are beautifully engrained in glorious black and white."
You're right. I don't remember anything in color in those days. Notice that Revolution's track is white...

^ Thanks for the tip, Melis, but as I stated previously, I've never had one and never plan to get one even though I'm in a "high risk" group (diabetics).

Just a note...it's called Solace, not "Solstice."
You don't have to be a member of a coaster club. Usually, some of the websites like Screamscape, Westcoaster, and others offer a pass that you can print and bring with you. Knott's will accept those passes. You can even show up the morning of and buy tickets right at the window.

These things are like giant jigsaw puzzles. They were designed so that pieces are simply attached to each other. That's the beauty of CAD/CAM.
The trick here is getting everything up to the construction site.

^ A lady I work with found that commercial's soundtrack on the Internet somewhere. I just heard it for the first time in over 30 years a couple of weeks ago. I'd forgotten that Mel Blanc did the voices.
So, no more Mr. Six, huh? Well, it's time for a new campaign. It's better they dump him now before he gets, well, old...

I rode the one at Legoland (known as Spellbreaker). It was...well...kinda fun, but waaaayyyyy too short. If I remember, I waited about 20 minutes for it and there were about a dozen people in line ahead of me.
