  1. ^ Likes double meanings. < Likes plays on words and phrases. V Likes playing on the monkey bars at midnight!
  2. Nope. Do you take those fast food surveys (online or phone) that give you a code at the end to write on your receipt so you get a discount and/or free food on a future visit?
  3. ^ Go tag a few walls and give 'em something to do! Eric
  4. ^ Takes different kinds of rides. < Not as innocent as you think. V Not as intelligent as you think!
  5. Remember how much we spend for just a 20 oz. soda. Kinda brings things into perspective. Eric
  6. I don't know why it took me so long to watch the T-Express video, but...do we need one of those on the West Coast or what? Eric
  7. A hundred eleventeen of 'em, to be exact. Can you speak one or more languages fluently?
  8. I tried sending a message a couple of hours ago and it directed me back to the forums. Then I noticed that profiles were different (and started the User Profiles topic, which Robb addressed there), and thought the two were tied together. Glad to know it's fixed. Eric
  9. ^ Initials are LC. < Initials are EBL. V Initials are WTF?!?!?

    User Profiles

^ We're starting to get stuff like this at Westcoaster, too. Just today I suspended two "suspect" accounts. 'Tis the season, I guess. Eric

    User Profiles

Just curious...at one time, you could click on a member's user profile and get their location, interests, birthdate, etc. I've noticed that birthdates no longer show up. Is that just a glitch or have profiles indeed been trimmed? Eric
  12. Just my two cents' worth. Five bucks is nothing to pay to go through the mazes, especially if they're decent---and they appear to be. If this continues in the years to come, SoCal will have three premier Halloween events. Eric
  13. These days, we're paying about $3.50 for regular here in Ventura County. Eric
  14. Believe it or not, I ate two, and both were bacon cheeseburgers. Do you remember your kindergarten teacher's name?
  15. I just drove Diana's car to the post office to get stamps, then over to the ATM to get cash BUUUTTT... the ATM was out of cash so I had to go to another one halfway across town. But I'm home now, safe and sound. Eric
  16. I actually gave some thought to going out there today, but just wasn't really up to it. But it looks like Fright Fest holds its own to Haunt and HHN. Eric
  17. I rode Psyclone at SFMM. I'd at least try the Crystal Beach Cyclone. Eric
  18. ^ Maybe it's as fun as chasing a parked car? Face up to it, now... Eric
  19. ^ Been driving around with your head stuck out of a car? Eric
  20. ^ Lincmad is a cool site. Of course, I remember when area codes were in Roman numerals... I also have a map from Japanese Village and Deer Park from 1973 when I went there on my only visit. It's time to get into Eric's Ancient Archives and dig this stuff up. Eric
  21. "...and the valley with a 213 area code?" (Bolliger&Mabillard) The Valley was 213 till about 1982 if memory serves, then got its current code of 818. And they're getting a 747 overlay next year. Great memories for me, as I visited these parks in the late '60s and early '70s. Unfortunately, I don't have much from then, but I think all of you have seen my 1971 Magic Mountain map. I posted that in Shane's thread last year. Busch Gardens in Van Nuys was a fun place to go despite not having a coaster. But it did have two monorails, and the bridge over the railroad tracks to get to the 1972 expansion is still there. There's just no way to get up to the bridge. I guess it was easier to leave it than to tear it down. I have some Knott's stuff from the early/mid-'70s that I need to get scanned and posted to Shane's topic in its new season. Eric
  22. It'd be nice if we got something like T-Express here in California. Even though two GCII woodies are on their way here, a little Intamin woodness would be nice. Eric
  23. I had to count my first credits as I, II, III... And I don't think I got my first one till I was at least four or five! To date, I've been to all but 43 states, but I'm working on it... Lucky Kristen! It's great she'll have a lot of pictures and video to see when she gets older. Eric
  24. ^^ I have to second what Elissa said about Gilroy Gardens. They only have two credits, but you have to ride the monorail with lap bars, the swinging banana, the whirling mushroom, and see all the Circus Trees. Oh, and drive an electric '50s model Chevy. Eric
  25. ^ I've been already. The train ride is fun and it's a well themed area, but there isn't much else to do there. Hopefully that'll change in the years to come. Eric
