Camelot's Knightmare Media Day Delayed
Divv3k replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's a bit of a bummer but as we've seen many a time and will see again these things happen. I've spent many Fridays at home doing nothing so one more won't hurt. I was planning on doing the Sandcastle in Blackpool on the Friday evening (since I've been to Blackpool a bazillion times and have still to visit Sandcastle) then BPB on the Saturday. Luckily I hadn't booked anything so I'm not out of pocket. Will just wait until the rescheduled date is announced now and do said trip then. Hopefully that new date will be set soon, Knightmare should be awesome! -
Photo TR: Tom's North American Adventure!
Divv3k replied to Shockwave's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Excellent TR as always so far Tom! I'm seriously considering doing a day at Michigan's Adventure after the Midwest trip. Still haven't decided if it'll be worth it. Then again I hear so many mixed reports about Shivering Timbers so maybe I should just go and decide for myself. Looking forward to more! -
Alien War is comming back!
Divv3k replied to Fallen Heretic's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Disappointed to hear it's not opening in July as originally hoped. Halloween time may be a more fitting opening for Alien War anyway. Not much new info, but still, any new info on Alien War is good! -
Good TR. Nice to see Tom shaking up his wardrobe a bit Shame you guys missed out on Deja Vu but I suppose its no real surprise. I'm not holding out much hope that it'll be open when we're there for the Midwest trip. Good to see Tom and Ian having a fun time over there.

Awesome as always Derek, I always love reading your TRs! Did you find that the floorless aspect made much difference on the dive machine? -

Wow. Great photos - thanks! How was Crush's Coaster? Is theming on the inside extensive? It looks like such a cool area. I really need to get back to DLRP once Tower opens! -
KidTums Goes To Florida! An Ongoing Photo TR!

This is a total guess but was it the old dog from Pirates? I'm sure I heard they changed the Dog when they upgraded Pirates. Total guess as I said, so likely I'm wrong. Not been to MK since 1998. Loving the updates! -
Producer Carlton Cuse on a recent podcast again debunked the purgatory theory. Seems to me that the found wreckage and bodies is more of a cover up. Elissa you'll be delighted to know, if you don't already know, that the upcoming season finale will be a Jack flashback episode. Anyway, totally loving the show as much as ever right now, It's gonna be a really tough long wait til next February after it goes.

Fair enough Robb. Just didn't think it looked all that great on the inside when you were on the ride. Of course I'm only basing that on a POV, I'm more than happy to bow to your opinion since you've rode it with the mountain facade. To be fair the main report I was referring to was yours back in October last year when the ride was first announced for Camelot: I'm not debating that it looked really cool from an aesthetic standpoint in the photos. I would really love to see Camelot really put some effort into theming the ride although somehow I don't see that happening.

It went up by what, less than 15%? The people Thorpe are targeting with the unlimited fast pass are not the the ones who are concerned that the price went up by a tenner. I understand you were disappointed to see the price going up, but if you aren't prepared an extra ten quid the unlimited fast pass probably isn't for you.

If they were cheap enough that anyone could afford them then a lot more people would buy them - increasing wait times for those who had the unlimited passes, kind of defeating the purpose.

If it was to open early to guests it'd only be by a day or two. Even then I doubt that will happen. Furious Baco will not be open next weekend, sorry dude. Just go and enjoy Dragon Khan, Stampida etc. There's loads of fun to be had there. -

To be honest Tom I can't believe you're not on the phone to Cedar Point right now demanding they reimburse you the full cost of your trip! -

The only place I saw anything close to an opening date was on the FAQ on the ride's site: http://maverick.cedarpoint.com/facts/faq/ -

Who wants to take bets on whether it'll be open for Non-German Tom? I think he's gonna be at Cedar Point on June 8th! First X, then Matterhorn, now Maverick! Oh and the Pinfari invert at M&Ds! Poor guy. -

How glad am I the Midwest trip isn't til August! Cedar Fair can swear away from Intamin, sorry IntaRide coasters as soon as the pre-fab woodies go up. Sucks for anyone who had spent money on a trip there this month based on Maverick. Although, with this and the Tatsu situation last year people might learn the hard way not to plan expensive visits on opening month. -

Does this mean the shed won't be getting built after all?
