  1. Well, it's no Cedar Point. Still, there are 7 coasters (including the Super Splash), and on a busy day that's probably 4 to 5 hours of your day already. As for non-coaster thrills, there's a really big log flume, a 60m wave swinger and a Disk'o Coaster. But that's about it. Everything else is for kids and families. If it's not remotely CP I got to quit. All jokes aside, thanks, that already helped me lean to the yes side. Just one question I've been to Holiday Park in 2014 (Had to ride Expedition GeForce and Sky Scream now those are coasters.) could I spend a longer time in Plopsa land the Panne? (if we exclude the 2 kiddie coaster at the Panne, I don't do kiddies.)
  2. That looks like a lot of fun. Just wondering here, does anybody know if a Thrill ride loving coaster loving enthusiast could have a day of fun in this park? It's always been on my radar but this might be the push needed.
  3. ^It remains a shame they aren't allowed to expand the park, and that they have run in's with the locals like all the time (they Suck the joy out of the themepark). I recently read someone describe Phantasialand exactly: Great park but a bad location. Imagen if this park was allowed to grow, they could keep the classic's and add new great stuff like Taron and Raik. I don't know when they plan to but just bulldoze that garden and let the folks plant their tomatoes somewhere els, greatness must arise.
  4. ^True the construction seems like an August Chiapas construction (august 2013) with testing and seemingly finishing touches. But each time this construction seems to go into the final phase for a July opening suddenly another building or part of theming shows up wich takes a lot of time. I swear if one more building shows up I will lose all hope, but until I hear or see that they go fully into paving and trees I'm not feeling it.
  5. With each passing day my hope on a 2016 opening is slowly fading away. I know we don't have the whole view with them closing up the hatches on the bridge and 1 and a half/ 2 months is a lot of time for construction work, but this whole project has the Chiapas vibe to me.
  6. That looks Awesome, if only Europe would get the RMC virus they never fail to amaze me and I want to try one not 1000 km away.
  7. The Efteling May 28th and Walibi Belgium either a week or 2 after that.
  8. So had a great day at Bobbejaanland. But before going in depth I need a small thing from my chest: [boring personal story] To be honest I had it rough the last few months, 2015 wasn't my year and the off-season was like a jar on suffocating my coaster fire, 2016 also had a bumpy start and 2 weeks ago having to cancel yet another big trip due circumstances I needed a replacement but all parks I wanted to visit still needed to open their 2016 ride for that fresh value I needed. So Bobbejaanland with the VR-Coaster came out on top and I thought this would be the final blow, yet a park I haven't visited in 5 years was apparently what I needed. Today some wood was thrown on the fire and in time it will heal, I know it's boring but I feels good having typed it for others to read. [/boring personal story] So having that from my chest the TR: Opened the day with Typhoon, no better way. Action shots. Nerd shot. Dizz is a lot of fun. From 10:15 till 12:15 Revolution is still open. The ride is quite dead, no movie, no sound. Either kill it or not. Each car already says Mount Mara. This wasn't here the last time. Queue. Love the interactive part with the people form the park, they where great and kept in roll. The ride itself was also a lot of fun. Wild mouse time, 100% of the time it's a lot of fun all the time. Creeped the hell out of me, worse part is there are two. Ended up riding a private mouse, could ride it like that all day. 12:30 in the Dreamcatcher queue, So I left before riding it and went to do what I came for: And saw this, a lot of people already waiting for Mount Mara VR-Coaster. Love how they redirect the queue to get to this space. Got aboard this hype train of 30 cars. Conclusion Mount Mara is a lot of fun, the video was not clean but still the ride is great, you feel so isolated so on your own despite the 29 other people in the ride, and yes it adds to the ride experience, looking forward to more in the future. Bob Express, if it's forbidden to have fun on a motorized coaster I will break that law. What's better then a log flume? A log flume and darkride in one. Love how the water bonces from the boat to the wall back into the boat and soak you. You can't leave dry, I was alone I tried. Okay This time I did ride it, I know it's Vekoma but the cars swinging reduces headbangs so yeah this is fun. Weather was awful. But couldn't resist a outdoor log flume. After some french fry lunch I went for a last ride on Typhoon and finished my day with: The Sledgehammer, was my first time riding something like this on this scale, I'm in for more just less windy days. Thanks for reading and see you in June for a Walibi Belgium TR, Pulsar here I come.
  9. I'm very curious about that "V" as that could mean "vliegen" What is Dutch for Flying not in German that is "fliegen". So also filming in Dutch could that mean this ride will be Dutch themed? Just a thought. I could however have the complete wrong impression and it could be for "vogel" wich is German for Bird (But that also counts for the Dutch ).
  10. That looks like a lot of fun, can't wait to ride it. This will be great for a lot of parks.
  11. Hey guys just came home from Captain America Civil War. Yes its out here and I went and I'm kind off searching for the right words wich allow me to post my thoughts without swearing, because just to say I thought I liked it or it was good doesn't feel as enough. Long time fans of the MCU you are in for a treat, they promised a MCU changing movie and they delivered I can even see this ego into a Phase 4. Marvel shows once again they can make a good movie in wich you care for each character, Each motivation each side made sense to me. I expected a very Cap driven movie but no it's just as much an Iron Man movie. And the End really hits all the right strings. But lets talk about the newcomers to the MCU. Black Panther: Very interesting character, liked him very much and can't wait to explore him further in his stand alone movie. Spider-Man: Wow, his role should have been much bigger. I really love the kid and I can't wait to see the new Spider-Man movie. He's a really unique in the MCU. But lets talk behind the scenes a bit, I really hope this Sony Marvel deal leads to a Fox Marvel deal, hopeful for the future. Truly Marvel's darkest movie so far. I really can't wait to explore all characters after this movie. And I can't help myself, but this is what I hoped BvS was. I'm glad there was at least one of these movies that leaved me captivated. Sorry but this is how I feel.
  12. Great to see the park stay true to their words. This should help to reduce the metal fatigue of that part in the long run keeping it smooth, but I mis that wiggle already.
  13. It could be me but that barrel looked a lot bigger in that image from a while back. Anyway's I love how Raik flies through it's course this could be a very fun ride.
  14. Just saw: Jungle Book. I didn't know what to expect and went to this movie just because the animated movie is part of my childhood. Wow was I surprised by this movie, I liked it a lot, really needed that after that last theater experience. I liked the voice actors they picked, none felt wrong in my eye's. For the song(s) I was a big afraid but they married so well with the movie. But anyway I was pleasantly surprised by this movie.
  15. ^I hope that video helps a lot with the boarding system. Very well put together.
  16. Wait B&M does round connector pieces? Under wich rock have I been sleeping?
  17. This ride has to really suck for it to suck, It looks great.
  18. ^^ Well just read the article on Magazine.Phantasialand.de on the coaster and the train. It seems this is an adjust hight design first design was no where near the park's standard, wrong color, wrong design chooses and this was made with even the smallest of visitor in mind. The article brought some small things to light, Raik is designed to appeal to the smallest visitor to the teenagers to the grown ups. They also promise it will go faster then you think with near 90 degree turns and near misses. Also the wheels on the return hill aren't there for show they are there just so the ride will operate when temperatures go below 0 degree celsius. Also a coaster like Raik has been in the planning for some time the park just didn't know where to put it, Klugheim gave them a place to put one in.
  19. Holy that got me exited, Great to see some testing done, Still the area looks like a giant construction site, hope they get it done this year.
  20. You know I already expressed hate once so I'm already a hater. If you loved the movie great, I love the Star Wars prequels who get a lot of hate so to each their own right. But I like to explain a bit as to why the movie gets hate. For some people the plot was like all over the place and nothing tide together as it should. Also the titled fight Batman V Superman was a little bit of a letdown, that could have ended in 3 seconds. Also Doomsday, Lois and Lex where no crowd favorites, each was just there for the sake of being there. Like I said there where 2 scenes I really loved but that in the overall story felt unnecessary to me, still like them though. These scenes where the court case and Batman vs the thug's (trailer fight). There where things I liked, like Batman's portrayal (I hate the character but Batfleck was entertainment). I also wondered about that nightmare scene(s) in the movie felt under explained and ended really odd, so I questioned what happened and what didn't. I currently like to give DC one more chance with Suicide Squad, Maybe that will work, I currently can't decide if I'm more exited for that movie of Civil War as the number 3 most anticipated comicbook movie for myself (number 1 is Doctor Strange and number 2 Deadpool). Again your entitled to love the movie and I'm intitled to hate it, each their own taste. In some way I understand why people like it I'm just not one of them. I just hope I didn't start a war here.
  21. I was there the same day and rode the log flume, it was great a boat all to myself and no queue. Great Photo's I love the joke about the park's name they really can't choose.
  22. Back for an other year of coaster riding. Today I went to my first park of the 2016 season, had some visits to the Efteling earlier this year but with how often I am there I don't count it anymore, still enjoy it though. Anyways my first season park was Walibi Holland for you guessed it Lost Gravity. Was Early in the park so I could ride Xpress Platform 13 before the park's opening, doesn't disappoint. Right after exiting the park went open and off-Coarse I rushed to Lost Gravity, had to wait half an hour before it opened though, worth it. Still don't know how to feel on that color . Yuup it was a great ride the drop is one of it's highlights. Condor is getting old, I used my SLC stance to ride it but it still beat me up. Goliath still the best of the bunch. Who loves some S&S tower. creepy castle. Great walking on buildings now. Just random queue shots, and up leaving as the ride had a malfunction. Xpress just out of a malfunction, reminds me Space Shot the S&S tower ride also had a small malefaction, how coincidental. They fixed it quickly. So this broke on the second day, guess those extra fences at the beginning of the queue came too late. (didn't snap a picture of it broken but I did see it broken, here it's just removed.) How it suppose to look. Don't tell me what to do. I know some of these beer crates, don't try to fool us by peeling of the stickers Walibi. Random shots from within the queue. [imghttps://scontent-amt2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/t31.0-8/12795097_1052607394812411_9161563683902766896_o.jpg][/img] And exited it again. I went on a log flume. a Sign. Some shots from the ferris wheel. And to close it all off, Lost Gravity. Rode it 3 times and can't wait to ride it again. See you next time, RCT3Bross.
  23. ^ I noticed it too in the park today even I thought it was a little too much, Off-coarse it doesn't scare me off. But yeah it really wiggles a lot.
