  1. Here's a little backstory to my reply. My grandma is SUPER overprotective of roller coasters (good thing my mom and dad weren't) she called them "killing machines that slices your body up at high speed. We were at MK and I told a lie that Space Mountain was a motion simulator and she fell for it. When we got on, my grandma didn't realize that she was tricked. After the tunnel, before the lift, grandma realize she was on a roller coaster and throughout the course, she screamed "I'm gonna die! My head will be cut off!" Over and over until the ride ended. When we got off, she started this long lecture about "Tricking your poor old grandma" but it was worth it. And the ride photo of her realizing that he was on a roller coaster was hysterical! Okay I reminded you and you reminded me of something. My parents are good friends with our neighbors so a year or 2 back my mom had 5 free tickets from work to go to the Efteling. The neighbors went with us (as my brothers don't care for the park) and they voluntarily went on Joris en de Draak (George and the Dragon) with us. All we was the wive of the neighbor couple screaming: "O my god!" Over and over again. At the end of the ride we laughed so hard and she asked us to turn around. She literally had worked herself partly under the lapbar and only her head was sticking out. After the ride we went and looked at the onride picture and all we saw was the hoody of her jacket. I should have remembered this as a few days ago I shared the highest point of Farrari Lands new coaster on facebook and she replied with: "Never again."
  2. ^^ That horse is so lucky those are stormtroopers, they won't hit it. I wonder how big of a problem it really is, I mean if it is as bad as the pictures make us believe they need to fix it.
  3. Well I got one thing I have a laugh at every once in a while, meanly because it turned me into the person I am today. My coaster that changed me completely from I wish to understand coasters to I want to ride coasters, it was Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Disneyland Paris. It was in 2007 I already had been looking out for parks for a couple of years but I had a big fear of riding coasters especially with inversions (you know I thought that was a big deal back then. ) but I still lacked researches (like TPR) to find the information or where the parks where. So I had no idea that Rock 'n' Roller Coaster was in fact a coaster. So we where in the park in 2007 and first there was disappointment that there was no coaster (Crush wasn't finished yet), so my parents decided to queue up for RnRC. The entire queue I had to fight with my parents who thought this was a simulation ride as they heard no coaster and me who guessed this was a coaster turning me being right in that trip to 2 and they had nothing right, and lets just say this totally backfired at them for forcing me to ride it, I was over my fear in no time and day's later I found the resources to become a full fleshed fan. To this day they still regret this and I can laugh daily on this fact. My mom was however a train before me and after the launch she thought I was a goner, I came out more then fine but a little bit of dark humor was a week after we where home a lady actually died as we heard it. No disrespect meant but there was some slightly humor in it.
  4. ^^^ If he is talking about the coaster they have plans to build it really soon. I really hope this gets build.
  5. I don't know, I wish they just went with IMAScore instead (Like Walibi Belgium) instead of follow the Efteling and going with a famous Dutch DJ. This is not my style of music at all, I understand that these people are popular and the parks want to use these names to pull attention But I prefer "normal" themepark music in the park.
  6. laurensvanheerde from Themepark.nl has made some test pictures: Love that drop more and more. Just a slight second to late if you ask me. Outside banked turn. Going into the Dive drop. Zero G roll Also he made a video, this shows the train going through the outside banked turn slowly, but these are early tests so this could have some speed to it: For the entire update and source (Themepark.nl) clink here. (video same source)
  7. Since when did they start working on Saturday?
  8. After doing some research (as to how much this ride would surpass Kingda Ka if build) I line of thought came to mind. What if Sky Scrapper at Orlando Eye gets build, that ride would surpass the 150 meter mark, are they still going for the world's tallest? Or are they happy just surpassing Kingda Ka? I mean I would seriously be stunned if they add another 20 meters just to beat Sky Scrapper.
  9. ^ So Europa seems to get interesse in the sky. Well a 140 meter high coaster is something for a park wich literally has sky in its name and names almost all their coasters with Sky. My best guess would be it's going to be called: Sky High.
  10. You know for a coaster that apparently opens in 2017 this is pretty far. Also Wow thats tall, I love it.
  11. Really look forward to see the refurbishment done, Really like what they did with that gray adding darker tones to it, it sure looks better then that red and yellow.
  12. Seems there is quite some speed in there. In just a month I will go and ride this already exited.
  13. And don't forget the mark the car parking spaces, it wouldn't be done without it.
  14. ^ I understand your still happy with the ride. All I'm trying to say is, where did they scream to load? They promised something unique and they delivered, it may be in the most cheesiest way, but link me one other coaster in europe where half the train is a normal seated (with floor) and the other half of the seats is hovering mid air? And aren't the two outside seats next to the track? Okay they still over above it but the original wingcoaster (Furious Baco) also has all 4 seats above the track, just hovering mid air on the train's wing. Also this is the last I say I don't want to turn this in a yes it is no it isn't discussion.
  15. ^Wow you really sound like the Dutch forums, not that there is something wrong with that each their own opinion. They didn't overhype anything in my opinion, in the end it's up to yourself how much you expect. This is unique in Europe as there is nothing like this in Europe. In the end it's al a marketing ploy by Walibi, you get much more attention if you can claim something is unique then to go around screaming you get the next generic coaster. They also don't lie on the winged part, these seats don't have anything above or below you and that's how manufactures sell the winged coasters.
  16. I really really really really really really hate the off-Season. I'm so bored right now. So that had to be out there somewhere to make it more easy.
  17. If I'm correct on this Ireland is the retheme of the kids land that's for the 2016 season. So this should be something new entirely, and seeing them start this early I'm already exited to hear what it is. edit: I now even see this is on the complete opposite side of the park (near Island) as Ireland will come near the park's German theme.
  18. Isn't it just a top-hat wich is bend over on the top. A Wave turn Is still far from this in my opinion. But I love the shape and with fixed trains we actually get to ride it this wacky and then the flat turn (Prefer flat turns on wild mouses way more then on Winja's so huge win).
  19. Yes they have fixed trains. Hoped on this. They really look nice and winged seats this is a ride to love.
  20. I really hope the train never gets stuck on that hight with me in it, got a slight fear of hight and those stairs I really like to avoid. If I even plan to descend them in the first place I might just stay put and wait for them to push the train from there.
  21. ^^ I let the analysts analyze the which kind of wheel this is and wich train it fits with the strap. But front seat? Wait do I get the feeling of a train, I thought that would be to much with that drop. I love it.
  22. ^ Exterior of the building is something I don't think is necessary for them to finish anytime soon. Last summer when I rode it the interior was far from what it should be and really took some of the ride experience away, so if they finish that first I'm happy. But I hope the park also worked on the boarding of the train, last year this was really bad with guest not knowing what to do and that made the dispatch time between the trains rise. But I can't wait to ride this when theming is more finished.
  23. Really good looking train, like the shape a lot.
  24. ^ Had nothing to do with it being more complex, the first drops of water where put in August 2013, the year they announced to open it. It just wasn't done for the 2013 season was over (they even worked a little during the winter of 2013 and 2014). That's most likely why we haven't heard any openings date or year for Taron and Raik, although I would be surprised if Taron and Raik would open in 2017 they seems to be nearly done now, being hopeful A April/May opening but realistic I think a June/July opening is in place here, a Start with the season I really doubt.
  25. Schwur des Kärnan, Love how it starts out as this mini darkride going into this very tall ride into a low to the ground speed monster and then has a surprise at the end. Also love it when a coaster is partly indoor like Kärnan and have the fun start inside and continue when you re enter the building. Also it's valentine's day and there was asked for it, this ride even has a huge heart shaped element.
