Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
RCT3Bross replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Okay this is just a thing I noticed wondered if more have the same experience. Each time I tell people I like coaster they immediately associate it with our local park, they just keep asking me if I've been there lately, if they announce something new or something is about to happen they act like I shouldn't know that (they like to bring the news to me). Also any attempt to tell them you like more then just that park is futile. Are all GP like this? -

A tilt coaster? What in the world gave you that idea? Are you talking a tilt coaster like Gravity Max or something else that'd maybe make sense? I meant those E-Motion tilt coaster Mack already has, Not the Vekoma flip a track piece 90 degrees tilt coaster. Although I would welcome that too, But I'm aware thats in no way the case here. -

Taron is really a overdoses of awesomeness for coaster enthusiast around the globe. Handsdown this is my favorite project of 2016, and it keeps getting better, bet when it is open and we see the complete picture (station, onride that kind of stuff) I will lose it. -

Rogier de Groot at Themepark.nl has placed new pictures: Overbanked turn after the Dive drop: Zero G after that: Source, Themepark.nl Rogier de Groot. More to find here. They pick up speed now. I actually hope this isn't a spinner but a tilt coaster, more interested in that. -

That looks awesome. Really love the Mack style trains, was a huge fan of the Blue Fire freedom, so to see what Intamin did here makes me happy. -

So I had to draw in the missing parts: Red: Overbanked turn Orange: Zero G Roll Blue: Overbanked turn Dark red: Twisted airtime hill or (small chance) Corkscrew. Giving that we have at least 2 inversions in this ride. I have to say I'm Impressed by Walibi, never expected them to build something like this. Like the lay-out and can't wait to ride it. -

I always heard that the core reason they left in Europe was that the parks didn't preform as Six Flags wanted them. I agree they did well enough as they still are around today under the name Walibi, and for most I was talking about theme parks/amusement parks. Europe always had theme parks so to me the story that an Amusement park didn't preform good enough always sounded logical. -

Good to see Germany gets all the credit, I mean like the rest of Europe has nothing like that. And as a Dutch guy all I have to say is Heiniken, that stuff is undrinkable if you ask me but made it further then any German beer I know. On a slightly more serious note: Here in Europe people have different taste than in the US. I mean look at Six Flags, it does great in America but when they tried in Europe they where here like what 4 years maximum. Back to Taron: I say this, Taron is the perfect harmony of a promising coaster and high end theming, I doubt we'll ever see that again in a ride for the next decade at least. -

So it could be this gets a small hill after the big brake, would be welcome as TTD looks more boring the Kingda Ka. So a small hill is always welcome if you ask me. -

It needs a slight edge for the appeal? Are you [censored]ing kidding me? The nature of the ride will mean that it has mass appeal already. Isn't that enough, especially considering that Phantasialand doesn't really have a coaster that's marketed as a family experience? They do put Colorado Adventure in the "family" category on their site but the sign at the entrance says "thrill ride". You can't expect every coaster in a park to appeal to you, even in a park like Phantasialand. You need to appreciate it for what it is, because without the families that come in and ride those kinds of rides and attractions on a regular basis, Taron might not have even been built! Wow wait up. Where did I say it needed to be a thrill ride? I will appreciate the ride even if I categorize it Kiddie, that means it won't appeal to me but that doesn't mean I don't think that would be right for the park. Like you said the park has now a great coaster line-up but the seriously lack a kiddie or even family class coaster and I'm sure Raik will provide this. What I meant with the slight edge to appeal to me was: Tobi's lay-out is a great start, yet to me it slightly more a kiddie coaster (again wich is okay) then a family coaster. So if the real ride shows a slight edge of improvement I feel the ride will be more a family ride (a very tame wich again is okay) then it will appeal to me. To be honest it doesn't have to, but it would be welcome. -

Wonder what Phantasialand and Vekoma pull of with Raik. Other Vekoma family boomerang I see as kiddie coasters aka they don't appeal to me. Tobi's lay-out looks fun but it needs a slight edge for the appeal. -

Seems like Raik is going to be more Family instead of junior as I expected before. I have to see the final lay-out to decide if this is something for me. -

Finally they started. Took some time, but I'm happy. Good to see some chances to the plans, looking forward to follow this. ^Well they pay the expense of the past 2 coasters combined on this. This has to become the new crown jewel with that price tag. -
Gardaland Discussion Thread
RCT3Bross replied to Rockman89's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Thanks for the information. It does add to my shock that Gardaland goes with a Fabbri spinner, I admit this will be my first Fabbri spinner, but I looked it up and have to say this is no ride for a big Merlin park by the looks of it, and since it rumored to be a infill ride I doubt this will have enough theming to make me think otherwise. -

I was asking about Heide Park. I had heard of the Alton/Chessington/Gardaland rumors before but Heide Park getting a major investment in 2017 is news to me. Same for me. But my reaction came more because of Paradox asking about a coaster, So I thought to clear that the rumor doesn't speak about a coaster but more about a Darkride. -

RCT3Bross replied to Rockman89's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Quite a shock they go with this kind of ride. So I had to do some research to believe it. This is what I heard, keep in mind this is based on a rumor: So with Thorpe park getting a Darkride in 2016 Gardaland isn't due until 2017. So this coaster is nothing more then a quick replacement ride.
