  1. thinks of my last visit to Carowinds. . where almost WHOLE PARK was down for hours due to weather in the area, and although PvZ was operating (as was Boo Blasters - which had a line), PvZ was walk on. and they were only using one side, and several of the seats were closed off as broken. so . . . yeah. it might exist, but it ain't "helping" your argument here.
  2. can't give any help on train, since no idea why it isn't operating now. . so not sure what the issue is (when I was there last July, it was running only 2 passenger cars, but was running. . . unlike Acrophobia, which never operated during my visit ) but for sure Scorcher should be back up. . as they are only down for repaint. I would expect that will be back up and running by end of March barring any bad weather.
  3. could be almost anything, as lots of shows and films do their filming in Atlanta. I do know from friends in Atlanta that "Zombieland 2" has started filming as of mid Feb. . so I guess it COULD be that (if they set a scene in the sequel at another Amusement Park). but really, could be anything from that, to an episode of "Mama June: not to Hot" that is also filming in Atlanta right now (maybe she goes on a date to the park).
  4. can only speak for WW at SFFT, as that's my home park and have ridden it a ton: keeping in mind that Wonder Woman still has fairly frequent breakdowns (it's a new coaster after all), but they usually resolve in 10 minutes or less each time. . . IF they are running all 3 trains, and are staffed well enough to the point that they don't need to stop the trains because someone is having trouble understanding the restraints? (ie: explaining the restraints, right side of track operator unlocking and removing rider, left side of track ushering in new rider and helping with restraints. . while the train slowly goes thru the station) The line is almost continuously moving. the set up for the coaster, is that they "pre-load" 4 trains on the platform before directing the people into the main loading line.. . so there is a continuous feed of riders moving onto the trains - that in theory do not stop when moving thru the station. the train unloads to the right, and as the seat frees up, the new rider steps in from the left. so if operating as expected, the line really does move well. during breakdowns, or confused rider messing up the restraints, or if they have to stop the continuous train to allow a rider to get into a stationary train (say from a wheelchair, or someone with mobility challenges), it can slow down the entire line. but for the most part? it is not a people eater, but it is not as bad as one would think. DareDevilDive at SFOG is a slower load, as are the flying coasters. my 2cents.
  5. where in the Spain section is El Diablo going? I'm not familiar enough with the layout in that portion of the park to be able to tell from the pics. (ie: did they tear something out to make space for it)? I'm honestly surprised, as i fully expected the new ride to go in between Harley and Batman, in that unused space there. .
  6. nice pics too, Lotologist492 and looks like you confirmed my guess on Goliath Games - that they were just gonna put new ones in.
  7. Great report, and glad you had fun. just a couple of comments: re: Goliath Games - when we were there last July? the overhead ACs were leaking and there were huge puddles of rancid water thruout the area. Good riddance to that. . . based on the poles, looks to me like they are gonna rebuild something there (more games)?. . . or maybe put in a small snack stand. re: Pandemonium - those rides go up very quickly. like, really, really quickly. Fiesta Texas is getting one too, and the land has been cleared for it for a couple of months already, and nothing in yet. but I expect it will be up and ready for testing in less than a week once they start installing. . so not too worried about it.
  8. It's Japan, home of the Giant Ferris Wheel but as you can see in this pic (found online, not mine), it towered over the old White Cyclone, hence Robb getting that pic easily
  9. as I noted, I'm absolutely willing to give it a chance once it goes live and we see how they plan it to actually work, so open minded about it now. but I'd think if you pay when you order? then your food would be ready when you walk in. (one of the questions on the survey I took was basically, "when would you be willing to pay for the food" -- and the options were like: when you order, before you arrive. when you arrive at the restaurant. when you get your food). so they might be considering the options. but again, open minded and willing to give it a chance
  10. ^ I assume you mean "Joker's Funhouse" and not "Joker Chaos Coaster". . since the 2nd one is a Super Loops (fun, but not a coaster. . sorry Six Flags). Expect: Superman, DDD, and Twisted Cyclone to have the longest lines from your list (DDD due to capacity, and Superman due to the loading times). so.. yeah. . I'd splurge for Flash Pass, as you only have 5 hours. it will let you cut most of the lines and get on everything you want. tho really no great loss if you skip Blue Hawk . .it's still terrible. it's also good for many of the flats - in particular Monster Mansion (an insane classic "WTF" dark ride via boat), and Acrophobia - a unique stand up drop tower (that was down during my 1 prior visit to the park). SFOG also has the best themed Wave Swinger (Gotham City Crime Wave) and a great version of Justice League (where all aspects of it were working on our visit). oh, and the river raft ride here, Thunder River? WILL get you *soaked*.. so plan accordingly with a baggie for your phone/wallet.
  11. it's going to be up to the individual. . but we needed 2 1/2 days to do everything we wanted at BGT. if you only care about the rides? then yeah, can be done in 1 day. . but you'll need full day for the animal stuff too. and the Cheetah run is only done once per day (think it was at 11am) and is highly recommended. so If possible, I'd try to add a 2nd day to BGT. but that's just me.
  12. add Intmidator (a fun, and different version than the KD one), and Afterburn (a fantastic suspended coaster) to your list as well.
  13. what a fun report. this is hysterical tho: it's like if you took Gritty and shaved him! (feel bad for Mrs. Berry tho. . she doesn't even get namechecked on the photo-option sign).
  14. that's your "excited" face, right?
  15. Spouse upgraded me recently from Iphone 6 to Iphone8. and for Xmas bought me the battery back up. I love it, and not just because the selfie camera (and forwards camera) are so much better quality than the one on the 6.
  16. your TR continues to enthrall and amaze me. *loving* the pics and "tour" of Nagashima SpaLand. . what a park! I think Elissa said above it's like a Japanese version of Cedar Point, and I agree. . but I see some Kenobel's quality classic rides there too! looks like y'all had a gorgeous day to enjoy it too.
  17. but Roadrunner Express at SFFT takes killer pictures as well (such great placement for the camera)
  18. I totally forgot about this thread. here's a favorite, from SFFT, Bug's Whitewater Rapids. . last month, before they fixed the camera (the flash had been broken. . and she tried to lighten up the pic, but wasn't able to get me in the actual picture very well regardless). makes me laugh.
  19. so got the survey today (I'm on the "Six Flags Review Board". . or something like that, so they send me surveys a couple of times a month). . asking what I think about Mobile Ordering for restaurants at the park. and asking for my opinion on a list of names. I dunno. . per the app they had me Beta Test during the survey? it seems they don't make the food until you "check in" at the restaurant, even if you pre-order via the mobile app. so doesnt' that mean if there's a big line, then you still have to wait until orders in front of you are done before they make yours? tho I'd assume you'd drop in before all those waiting in line who have not ordered. they teased names like "Fast Flash Click". . . so maybe this will be a chargable thing, similar to Flash Pass? willing to wait until it's rolled out before judging it, but seems that mobile ordering (and byproduct of a slowdown of the "standby" order line) might be coming to Six Flags Parks. we shall see, I guess.
  20. Some of our friends have been trying to get us to go to the one here and I just think it's way too creepy! Would love some captions to know more about what Erik and Smisty thought about it! the screen-shot of Chris in the Sunken Place from "Get Out" kinda tells me all I need to know! (tho the . . . strawberry shortcake dessert (???) looks good).
  21. OMG. . I'm gonna have nightmares from the American Girl Cafe pictures now!
  22. ^ glad to hear you are doing better after the 2nd hospital visit. and congrats on keeping the trend going in the direction you want weight wise!
  23. Mark died the other day (I posted some TalkTalk vids in his honor) Keith Flint is kind of a gut punch. . and it was (apparently) by Suicide. such a shame
  24. ^ and nevermind the park has several other "destination worthy" attractions anyways (besides the fact that it's in Japan!!). I mean. . even without the White Cyclone RMC, this park has been on my bucket list for years for this sucker here: [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] RMC White Cyclone is just icing on cake
