  1. I don't think its Dragon Coaster as the handrails are blue, not red. Also doesn't Dragon come out of a tunnel onto the lift?
  2. Looks like I'll be getting on my first disk'o soon!
  3. I would say try for July 1st. Sundays are always slow at SFNE. Thanks! Sunday it is.
  4. Does anyone know which would be a better day to visit....June 29th or July 1st? This is going to be my first visit.
  5. During Fright Fest last year, Great Adventure was packed. We got three rides in all afternoon due to the 3 hr lines. When we got back to our car, our cell phones were missing. Then, it took security two hours to come to our car and help us.
  6. El Toro's insane hill over Rolling Thunder is amazing.
  7. I didn't notice a problem two weeks ago either. I absolutely love the audio, and that's what makes Bizarro a great ride to me. I was on Bizarro with just three other people (none of us were screaming) and you still couldn't hear it.
  8. Did anyone else notice Bizarro's audio is starting to get spotty and staticy again? I noticed it on two of the trains. (Not sure which ones)
  9. 1. While on Skull Mountains brake run, the lady behind me asked the adult next to her, "Is this the part where it goes backwards and upside down? Or did we already do that?" 2. In Kingda Ka's line.... Person behind me: I can't believe Top Thrill Dragster only has a seat belt. Me: You do realize it has a lap bar too right? Person: Oh...
  10. There was a bad storm in the morning, but all of the coasters and flats reopened by one. I had a fun day apart from the terrible operations and large crowds. Nitro for example, was double stacking every single time. Bizarro, Green Lantern, and Kingda Ka were also the same way. The sky screamer and scrambler both had their lines extending into the midway.
  11. B&M- Green Lantern. The trains shuffle terribly, and I get head banging constantly. Intamin- As much as I hate to say this, Kingda Ka. Some days the ride is okay, while other days its bone jarring. I've had headaches all day from Kingda Ka. GCI- Only been on one.
  12. Yes Do you like sushi?
  13. Besides for Great Adventure, Six Flags New England in late June.
  14. I rode the Sky Screamer tonight. Its a great addition to the park, but because of the trees it didn't feel too high. The Flying Dumbos were also running but we didn't ride. Everything had about a 20 minute wait except Superman, which was running one train. All 3 of The Lanterns trains are back in service! Ride Count: Nitro 1 Sky Screamer 1 Swashbuckler 1 El Toro 1
  15. How long was the Skyscreamer's line? I'm going tomorrow night and hope to get a few rides on it.
  16. If you've never been on a stand up, Green Lanterns a lot of fun. The back rows can be extremely rough, but the middle is OK. The fronts offers a very cool view. Try to ride right after opening or in the late afternoon to avoid the long lines. Edit: Depending on your height you may have a lot of head banging. The inclined loops the worst spot.
  17. I really like Rolling Thunder too. If your on a non wheel seat its very smooth, and the left side isn't bad in any seat and doesn't have that horrible turnaround. If you want a rough ride, The Runaway Mine Train is MUCH worse then Rolling Thunder.
  18. L and T's mini coasters are extremely small, but still deliver air time and some nice drops. (Runaway Train at Gillian's Wonderland Pier in Ocean City, NJ).
  19. Overheard in school... Person 1. "What would happen if the roller coaster got stuck upside down?" Person 2: "I don't know but that's why I'm not going on a looping roller coaster." And on Roars POV....
  20. I'm assuming you mean Rolling Thunder. Those trains have been in bad shape for a couple years now. There's tons of names scratched into them and on the blue train, side panels are missing. Last time I counted 4 missing. Were they running both sides or just the right?
  21. I can't believe Nitro and The Dark Knight had longer waits then Superman. I've only seen Superman have no wait once. I'll be going to try out the Sky Screamer this Friday.
  22. I suggest riding the Wild Mouse first. They only allow two riders per car and then have as few as 4 cars on the track. Otherwise, you shouldn't have major lines as all local schools are in session.
  23. I love that picture of Bandit.
