  1. ^ not sure of the restrictions for the membership, but i *think* previously for season passes the free tickets were valid for different periods (ie: one in spring, one in fall, etc). Not sure how that will work now. Also once we get closer to season start they will definitely offer better deals on 1 day tickets, whether it's including dining or offering a bigger discount. At least I would hope so... >.< -- that's pretty steep.
  2. Also I forgot to mention Coastermania details were announced too (probably because Brew/BBQ is superior ) https://www.cedarpoint.com/play/events/coastermania I wonder what they will cap attendance at. I think that is the most important factor if the event is 'worth it' or not. You know, besides meeting other coaster enthusiasts etc.................. Not for me. Nowadays with FL+ and meal plans and other experiences where you can go any day you want, early entry, etc; enthusiast events just aren't as special as they used to be. Not to say they are bad thing, just not for me. Unless they do a special theme or unique things (I'm looking at you Holiday World) then there isn't a lot of advantages. Then again you do get a boat ride included, which is nice. And some neat contests. It would suck to not attend Coastermania and have early entry that day and be the first in the park only to have a two hour line ahead of you on Steel Vengeance (better than a 5 hour line I suppose!). lol
  3. ^ May 19-20... wow and you get a ton of ERT and meals, too! https://www.cedarpoint.com/play/events/coaster-campout $200 (donation) per site (up to 4 people)... not per person? 2 days admission. Early entry. ERT on Steel Vengeance. That can't be right? That is a STEAL. (fiancee yells in background: "it is NOT a good deal if I can't shower")
  4. V.I.P. details have been announced! *drool*. 3 different ones but no price announced yet. Even the sunrise tour includes immediate boarding to Maverick and Steel Vengeance. None of that waiting in line with other FL+ low-lifes! https://www.cedarpoint.com/play/vip-tours I think in the past it was discounted for Pass holders since you didn't need admission/etc. Can anyone verify if my memory is correct? I would definitely consider the Sunrise tour this year knowing you get IMMEDIATE boarding on those two rides, plus two other FL+ one time use passes sweeten the deal... (Un) Fortunately we already have dining, funpix, etc so the value goes down a bit.... still curious what they will charge, though.... EDIT-- Also: the Brew and BBQ page is hidden away but the dates stated are June 8 - July 1st. Not sure if this was mentioned before, sorry if I missed it (Compared to May 19-June 11 in 2017). Interesting change if that is the finalized dates (again, not officially accessible from the main site yet, so not official official)...
  5. I usually get sick on flat rides, but I love Bayern Kurve a LOT and I don't get the least bit sick. I'd give it a shot. *Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome
  6. Only for Platinum. They are officially listing it as a perk this season on the perks page, whereas previous years it was unadvertised. FL+ for the same price as regular FL. We were able to get the discount for everyone in the group with only one pass last year. In-park only, not online.
  7. I'm just picturing this all going down in one hours time. Someone from management showed your post on TPR to upper management and after realizing how dumb they are called up the web designers in a tizzy yelling at them to change it immediately because the company is dumb. You just saved SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment!! (well maybe for one more year anyway... ) Be an every day heerrrooooooooo! Hope they send you a free membership! >.<
  8. Great report! Can't wait to hear more!
  9. ... or instead of Aquatica, do Discovery Cove (you can still do fun spot in the evening) and upgrade ($25) to get the package that includes SeaWorld/Busch+parking at both. So DAY RESORT + Ultimate Package. Protip: You don't need the upgraded drink package for free alcohol (though the upgraded package gets you: Sangria, Rum Punch, Mojito, Cuba Libre, Margarita and a selection of local craft beers and upgraded wines) and the ray feeding and other pay activities are not necessary IMO. No need to do the dolphin swim (unless you are dead set on it), the rest of the stuff in the base package is awesome and you'll save $$$ $200+$25 might sound crazy, but you get SeaWorld/Aquatica/Busch plus parking included, and Discovery Cove is so unique and awesome. You get fed unlimited breakfast, lunch, and snacks. You get to drink alcoholic beverages all you want. You get to swim with giant stingrays. You get to relax. You get up close encounters with animals you can't get at Seaworld or Busch. They have a cool aviary. You don't have to deal with huge hoards of people since even in sold out days there is plenty of room to breath. You'll want to "relax" by the time day 6 rolls around. And you don't have to spend another penny while at Discovery Cove since EVERYTHING is included. Consider it! You are able to visit Busch and SeaWorld before you actually visit Discovery Cove, so doing it on Day 6 wouldn't be a problem. You have a 7 or 14 (?) day window to visit all the parks you want to visit.
  10. Yes, the one comment Kings Dominion made on that entire comment thread was that it would be on the dining plan.
  11. ^ Thank you, Chuck. This thread was getting way out of hand. Anyway, I simply cannot wait to get to this park again. Sooner rather than later. Well, except opening day, because it's going to be absolutely insane
  12. I'd put this in the KD thread but I'd rather not be associated with that thread....
  13. World's first winged giga dive coaster with 3 launches? -- I can't wait!
  14. Well said, in the fewest words. Yes, please.
  15. What time is it??? APPLE ZAPPLE SNAPPLE time!!! ok I'm done. I've lost my damn mind.
  16. I'm going to start yelling APPLE ZAPPLE!!!! at the top of my lungs at the top of every ride at every park. lol. So good!!
  17. ^^ re: loch ness.... much like Gatekeeper being at the front of the park and having smaller lines in the afternoon / evening, I'd assume the quick queue builds up quickly in the mornings and it's to help spread out ridership since it's the first ride you walk into at the park. Re-rides would make it just a little bit longer if everyone makes it their "first ride". Just a guess, though.
  18. My fiance suggested "Weehawken" for a dueling roller coaster concept. I do love kiddy hawk, though. Oh, Cedar Fair.
  19. Just watched it, great show! You really have a great presence and speak well and put across interesting knowledge in that format. Though, I spoiled a little bit of flight of passage for myself ever so slightly considering I knew nothing about it. I'm glad that you enjoyed the attraction only because I have the same kind of thoughts as you going into media based attractions... but you loved it anyways, so I'm really curious what it's all about. I'll get back to Florida eventually and I'm looking forward going back to Animal Kingdom.
  20. "f*ck Disney for putting a roller coaster through Mt. Everest. It really takes away from the picturesque mountain they have" ~ nobody, ever That being said, I don't think it will be a record breaker. Which is absolutely fine. As much as I'd like to see a launched wing like Thunderbird and the track could potentially be for a wing (then again I don't know the exact measurements or the differences between the two), I think a dive would be more marketable... I think? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Boooo hisssss
