  1. Great pics! The Tangled mess of track known as Wonder Woman is so picturesque!
  2. Working on Tapatalk as well. Hello!
  3. Almond Joy's got rich milk chocolate Coconut and honey nuts too Mounds got deep dark chocolate Chewey coconut ooh Sometimes you feel like a nut Sometimes you don't Almond Joy's got nuts Mounds don't
  4. So you essentially get two cards (if elite), correct?- Do you have to choose the rides ahead of time at time of pickup? - Does it work on Platinum-only rides? - Can you give a card to a friend to ride with you who doesn't have diamond? - At the ride (after you pick up your cards) do they check your membership card at all, or strictly the pass/ticket you give them at the ride? Thanks!
  5. ^ they do offer unlimited --gold-- flash pass on a per park basis. With the diamond elite it's 50% off and not a bad price. I don't think it double dips with the free upgrade (ie: I don't think you get Platinum every time, but maybe! -- I'll ask in the live chat on Monday) -- Not good at every park unfortunately, whereas the two free skips work at any park you go to. Also it's on a calendar year basis, not a month to month basis, which makes things more confusing juggling a membership and certain upgrades. I'm guessing the reason for the monthly payments at Six Flags is to keep you going after your year is up. "It's only $8 / x.xx a month, so I mind as well keep it going..." and so they are getting revenue year round instead of (I'd imagine somewhat heavier pass sales) when they do their yearly flash sale. I'm only guessing though.
  6. Darn, banned before he could even answer my question about what the heck he needs stored all day other than his drink cup, lol. Oh well, I think we're definitely better off... Anyway, back to KD. That aerial footage is nice, but kind of sketchy as others mentioned based on his weird comments in the beginning. Really looking forward to this ride, even though it probably won't be this year for me
  7. ^ ^ ^ I remember Holiday World having the mini lockers with keys on the platform for cell phones etc. But you're right I did forget they take your stuff their too. Good call. (and kudos because the photo made me laugh.)
  8. At Leviathan they have tons of staff on the platform to be able to grab articles from everyone as they get seated. They are super quick. They also lock the bins for that train. In the U.S. I feel like it will never happen due to the potential for damaged stuff by park staff. Then again it's all Cedar Fair in the end and it's obviously the same risk at CW. The only coaster I can think of at CW that requires lockers at the top of my head is Wonder Mountains Guardian. On Vortex they just make you carry EVERYTHING with you on the ride. I feel like the percent of people with bags at CW is much higher (probably due to the fact they don't need lockers?) than any other park I visit. EVERYONE has bags! Am I creating a new Canadian stereotype? They must have to carry timbits with them at all times. Cedar Fair had an awesome program that doesn't require a refillable cup. Also, completely serious question, what do you need to carry around with you that has to go in a bag? I don't understand what is needed at all times. This goes for anyone? A change of clothes and a towel for a water park is all I can think of. It was mentioned that the first hour at each locker is only $1.00. I don't know what the policy is for the rest of the rides at KD, but if we are talking about 3 rides only, it's a whole $3 for the day for the average guest. Except maybe TT due to the wait time being longer than 1 hour.
  9. While theft can be a major issue (I know it was at the parks I've worked at), and people losing things that they would probably put in a locker if forced to, I don't want to wait 3 hours for Twisted Timbers when I can wait 2 hours instead. It slows down dispatches dramatically (unless they use the "Leviathan Technique" -- which I doubt you would see in any U.S. park) and people take forever on the platform dealing with things. Just my opinion, then again I have no reason to carry stuff around the park.... -- who needs a backpack full of stuff?
  10. No more bins on FoF, i305, and Twisted Timbers if I remember correctly. Completely understandable. At least you can keep loose articles in a cargo pocket, unlike some parks which frown upon that...
  11. Alright, one more because I can't help myself with the release of these memberships.
  12. I just got back from Wegmans and took Bert's advice and bought a lot of fresh fruit to snack on. Oranges, bananas, and an expensive fruit bowl. I also decided to try some yogurt which I don't normally eat. I find my biggest issue though isn't necessarily that I'm eating bad things (though I do eat bad when we go out to eat) but the quantity of the food I eat. If it's in the house it's always available to me so I want to eat it. That's my biggest issue I need to fix. And though I've got my calorie count down with drinks by 1/2 by drinking iced tea (sweetened) instead of soda (baby steps) I know I really should be drinking more water.
  13. I made a better waffle at the Quality Inn before going to the park... (those are just hatin' words and totally untrue)
  14. Not a coaster but I always wanted to see 2 S&S towers with a top-spin-like gondola in the middle (without the arms). So you could have a controlled spin/ lock-in on the one axis but also get launched up or down. The possibilities of ride experience programs would be amazing and could vary from ride to ride. I want to say someone made a 3d rendering/video of this.
  15. Always knew I was a genius, this just proves it! Broken - lovelytheband
  16. I don't know if the one rodeway inn is closed permanently or they only take cash at the door lol and won't let people book online but no matter what date or rate I choose it says "n/a". Just... don't do it. NO NO NO. Luckily I haven't had the luxury of staying at the Rodeway Inns in Sandusky, but I know enough about them to say NOPE NOPE NOPE DON'T DO IT.
  17. Time lapse of some dirt being moved. Made me laugh how little is done. Oh well, in due time I suppose. I can see why they haven't posted anything... though the finished time lapse should be neat.
  18. Blackjack has arrived Source -- Tony Clark on Twitter
  19. ^ We did the food truck event last year (or maybe the year before?). I don't recall anything special alcoholic drink-wise -- I think that's new this year? Unless it was a small beer tent --- i'm a cider and cocktail guy -- but there was a decent variety of food options and everything I ate was pretty good, though a bit pricey for the portions. My fiancee swears by and still talks about the GUAC SPOT truck, lol. Her favorite guacamole, and she loved the candied apple pork tacos. Mmmm. Not bad for a Six Flags function, but don't go in expecting Brew & BBQ Seriously though, I love when parks do stuff like this. It's always a good time.
  20. https://www.sixflags.com/newengland/special-event/food-and-brew-festival Hmm... sounds like my kind of event! Anyone have experience with this last year? I don't even recall them doing this or reading any reports. Yes, please.
  21. I forgot where I read it but I did read somewhere that would be adding some sort of video implementation with Steel Vengeance. The Kings Island one is so bad it's good. Maybe. Edit: Found it. http://www.sanduskyregister.com/story/201802240008 "In addition to a big ride sign, the plaza will feature lockers, ride photos and on-ride videos, similar to what’s available for Mystic Timbers at King's Island"
  22. Not quite every park has FunPix, though. It used to be "C" and "K" parks only, though it looks like Worlds Of Fun got added this year. Parks like Dorney and Michigan's Adventure have some photo locations but do not offer FunPix so you can't use it at those parks. It's a great deal (especially if you bought it at a "cheaper" park) and I thoroughly enjoyed the photos we got last year at all the different parks we visited. Except Dorney... but who needs memories of THAT place
  23. Because everyone wants to know what the special perks are for the 6 different types of passes. This is a super easy to follow, printable guide. I found this on the official great adventure page.... or something.
  24. Everyone keep it up! Honestly I'm kind of worried for Steel Vengeance and El Toro. I'm a tight fit on RMC's and Toro normally, but in October I took a walk of shame at California's Great America on their invert. And almost didn't make a few other rides. Also during Halloween time, Millennium Force was tough. My weight was at an all time high around then, probably 255-260. I've been going to the doctor a lot lately and my weigh ins have still been hovering around 250. Running out of time to eat better, just been super stressed at work and just can't kick the habit of how much I eat. During spring and summer I do a ton of walking, but Winters in Buffalo it is tough for me to be active. Ugh. Need to get it in my brain that I'm going to be taking more walks of shame if I don't really make a consious effort to make some lifestyle changes.
  25. Great report! Seeing all these Disney reports as of late after ignoring them for quite some time makes me miss living in Florida just a little bit. Is that even possible?
