  1. Do we have any more looping coasters?
  2. Yes, Les Miserables. Do you speak a second language?
  3. Wow,that looks amazing. I can't wait to see what the back to back Zero-G rolls look like. How soon do you think they'll go up?
  4. >Columbia Space Shuttle Whelp In all seriousness, good report. Looking forward to more.
  5. I just saw the pictures of the latest construction update. Tell me: Why does this coaster remind me so much of The Voyage? And Balder? (I might sound insane on that one, I know)
  6. I can't keep track of this garbage: Which park chain has the rights to Nick characters?
  7. I honestly want to know: What exactly is wrong with Toon Lagoon? I thought it was well themed and actually rather nice looking. The only renovation they would need in my opinion is a couple flat rides to fill in the gaps. While I think that Bilge Rat Barges and the Dudley Do-Right flume ride are very good (except for the lapbars they installed on the latter), I've never been impressed with Toon Lagoon as a whole--a bunch of out-of-date comic strip characters plastered over a bunch of goofy looking buildings. At least I'm old enough to recognize many of them. I just feel that compared to the other areas of the park, Toon Lagoon just didn't come off as well. I always just wander through there on my way to Jurassic Park, and that's about it. So all that you're saying is that you'd like to see more modern characters in place?
  8. A friend and I were in an argument the other day about wether or not coasters have the ability to be cute or not, and if so, which one is the cutest? This sounds like a dumb question/thread topic, but I really want to know your input on this. The contestants so far: Dæmonen at Tivoli Gardens Kanonen at Liseberg Vild-Svinet at Bonbon-Land Formule X at Drievliet Family Park Add more if you think of any.
  9. I thought you had heard of this already, but the original movie is being re-released (How original) in 3D.
  10. Knott's demolishing Montezooma's Revenge. (How about this thread doesn't die?) What's worse than a Vekoma Boomerang?
  11. I would suggest NOT going on an Intamin freefall as your first. Stick to an S&S tower if you can; they're much less intense and more on the fun side of things. When you get used to those, THEN go for the giant towers.
  12. I'm glad to see that SW7 is so close to Oblivion. I think the two would make a pretty good pair. Also, do you think that Alton/Gerstlauer will call that inversion simply a Batwing, or do you think they have changed it enough to call it its own element?
  13. No, but then again, I've never really had any. Do you think Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls is an Aqua coaster?
  14. I honestly want to know: What exactly is wrong with Toon Lagoon? I thought it was well themed and actually rather nice looking. The only renovation they would need in my opinion is a couple flat rides to fill in the gaps.
  15. Well, I guess a late answer to both could be my best guess. Was anyone attached to that old Discovery Building? I went there last year and was honestly hoping for it to get a revamp. There's lots of floor space in there and not a whole lot to do. I guess IOA is finally realizing that it has potential now that the Jurrasic Park series is getting somewhat of a revamp with the 3D and #4 movies coming out.
  16. Wow, I nearly forgot about that. I think Universal has their answer to Animal Kingdom's Dinosaur/Countdown to Extinction. I really hope this happens.
  17. I know that Gravity Group making the coaster sounds like a much better idea, but I want to know: If GCI was the one to make it, what would it look like? Would they have to make different train designs to fit in such a small area?
  18. I for one would actually like to see this happen. After they lost Walibi in Europe, I would actually like to see the company reach new areas of the planet by moving continents again. Now that I think about it, the same goes for Cedar Fair as well.
  19. I know I may sound lazy by asking this here, but which one of these was ranked highest on your list: Prowler (WoF), Thunderhead (DW), Renegade (VF), or Apocalypse (SFMM)? I honestly want to know which one you guys think is the best American GCI.
  20. Here's mine. RANK THE FOLLOWING RIDING SENSATIONS <-LEAVE THIS LINE AS IS Floating Airtime___________________________,y,y,1 Abrupt Airtime_____________________________,y,y,2 Out of Control Feeling/Directional Changes_,y,y,3 Sensation of Speed_________________________,y,y,4 Lateral Forces_____________________________,y,y,5 Positive G's/Loops_________________________,y,y,6 COASTER NAME PARK LOC <--Please leave this Apocalypse S. But I want to know: Did anyone put Lateral Forces as their favorite sensation?
  21. I really cannot explain to you how unbearably creepy this looks with that much fog. It's like the park turned into the Silent Hill of Cedar Fair. I for one would actually like to see a game like that...
  22. The ever beautiful Corkscrew at Cedar Point. (I'm noticing a heavy trend of Arrow Loopers on this thread...)
  23. This park is looking better by the minute. Can't wait to see how White Lightning ranks among Prowler, Thunderhead, and Apocalypse as the best GCI. I'm sure it will; that ride looks great.
