It would fit well, but I don't see how that would help round out the park. Inside Wild Things turnaround would be a better fit anyways. That's what I meant It's a very well-rounded park already though. Great kids area, a solid blend of modern and older flats. Really, the only thing that would make it better is if they could get a multi-looper in there, possibly where Excalibur is. I mean, it's a really interesting ride for the fact that its only one of two like it, but its also really boring and taking up a lot of room that could go towards something much better. -
SFGAm also has height ordinances to contend with. We would have heard of a city council meeting in Gurnee by now if they were actively pursuing a Sky Screamer. I saw someone at SFGAmWorld suggest that they are going to combine the two kids areas into one big kids area with new theming, whatever it may be. I can totally see and welcome that idea. If they could move around Revolution and Fiddler's Fling and demolish Magiquest, they could turn that whole area between American Eagle and Yukon Territory into one big kids area. That would free up a huge amount of space connecting to Iron Wolf's old lot that could be used for a big coaster that could be entered from Yukon Territory... or at least, that's what I'd like to see.

That giant vacant area on the left walking towards Steel Venom that is only being used for part of Wild Thing's turnaround? A smaller sized Windseeker would fit amazingly there. -

Outlaw is definitely a contender, but I'll hold off on "most anticipated" judgments until we see the layout for NRAT and CP's wingrider. -
This! As parents of 5 and 6 year old girls, my husband and I have been forced to watch a lot of kids' shows, and yes, we appreciate the humor in some of them that is intended for the parental viewers. But then again, we wouldn't be watching these shows if we didn't have 5 and 6 year old girls. And we certainly wouldn't be purchasing toys of the characters. I guarantee you my husband would not know the theme songs to iCarly and Victorious and Ruby Gloom if we didn't have daughters. It's not about stereotyping that it's only for girls; if boys want to watch a show about ponies, no problem. It's about grown men watching and obsessing over a children's show, and then going out and collecting ponies that 5-year-old girls play with. That's disturbing to me. I like that we have progressed to an age where adults cannot watch childrens shows unprovoked because they enjoy it... oh, except they do when they watch Adventure Time, Regular Show, and The Legend of Korra. Heck, throw in the Disney animated canon, Pixar, and some choice Dreamworks films as well! But My Little Pony? No, that's completely unacceptable. Shame on me for watching something that reminds me the world doesn't have to be full of sarcasm and cynicism, and then wanting to buy merchandise of said show. What a tool I've been.

I'm imagining employees standing on the break run at the end, with fresh baked cinnamon rolls, handing them out to you as you roll into the station... and I like the idea. I like it very much. -
There's a huge difference between grown men watching children's cartoons (many of which are still awesome) and grown men religiously following a children's cartoon meant for girls. How is the fact that its a show meant for little girls a huge difference between watching something like Adventure Time? Granted, there are some really vocal and really, REALLY creepy fans of the show (search "pony thread simulator" on Youtube at your own risk) but that doesn't detract from the fact that its a smartly written and very funny series with lots of great characters. That's all I'll say on the issue as Elissa probably didn't put this up for people to argue about why ponies are great/stupid/etc. I just really want that Granny Smith. I can't believe there's an official pony of her now. Can't wait for Elissa to post prices.

Me and my boyfriend have decided our next vacation will be Spring Break (3/17/13-3/24/13) in Los Angeles. This is the first time either of us have been to LA and we plan to do all the normal touristy stuff. Now, because of all we are planning (attending a taping of a TV show, wandering around Hollywood, the beach, etc.) I do not want to clog up all the time surrounded by all the lovely, lovely theme parks that side of the country has. We talked about it, and he's good with spending a day at any LA theme park I choose, and this is where I have a problem. I've looked at the big three; SFMM, Knotts, and Disneyland, and am having a really hard time choosing. On one end of things is SFMM; thrill ride capital of the West Coast, home to 17 credits, the worlds tallest drop tower (my beau loves drop towers like I love coasters), and also reports of horrendous service and mediocre-to-horrendous everything else (flats, shows, food, etc.). On another end of things is Disneyland. I've been to WDW and that was the gold standard for park theming, atmosphere, and overall experience, which I'm sure this would match. I think we'd have a blast there, but most credits outside Screamin' aren't entirely new to me because of WDW, and the tickets are astronomical in price just to get in the gate, and with it being spring break, I'm worried about the number of families. On the last end of things is Knotts, which seems to have a good balance of credits, rides, a good drop tower, theming, food, and service. It looks to be the balance between SFMM and Disneyland, and the cheapest option to boot. On top of this, I'm not sure what park operations are like in March for SFMM and Knotts. Are they open during the week, because that will come into play in my decision. I can't decide as they all look so great to me, but I only have time to spend a full day at one. Please help me make the best choice... oh, and if you know of any must-do things in LA while we're there that I'm not thinking of, please let me know that too. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I've wanted to ride a Dive Machine since I saw Oblivion in the Guinness Book of World Records back in 1999. Rode Griffon in 2011. Well worth it -

Two very different situations. For one, it's the same track all the way through, as opposed to RCCA using Premier track for the loop. For another, RMC is going into this fresh off of NTAG. RCCA can never make such a claim even if they tried. -

Where's the fun in that? I'm gonna call it the Bronco Roll. -
Right now, it's 2011 with 21 new credits, due to first-time trips to Adventureland (IA), BGW, and Kings Dominion. 2012 is at 15 new credits right now, due to first time trips to SFFT and Valleyfair!, but I still have to go to Nickelodeon Universe in August and at least one weekend I'll be hiking down to Six Flags St. Louis. Having never visited either, that will definitely make this year the most new credits I've attained. Not this year, but next year I should break the 100 credit barrier. Planning on doing that at Silver Dollar City
