Hey everyone just stopped by the park today and took some pictures of X from outside the park. The ride seems to be about 50% painted. Looking really good. I will be back home on Thursday and I will post them. I also have a couple of shots of the painters. Were going to Disneyland tomorrow and I will have a photo TR up soon! Take care everyone!

Post from Screamscape.com 2008 to 2009 - Space Mountain: Mission 2 - Rumor - (11/27/07) The latest buzz about the upcoming Space Mountain rehab claims that “Mission 2” has been given the green light and that it looks like they will likely be gutting the entire inside of the mountain and rebuilding the ride from scratch. A possible plan to speed up the process may be to remove the “top” of the mountain itself to allow for the removal of the old ride more quickly and in much larger pieces than what would normally be able to fit through the 22 ft tall back door. The funny part of the this story however is that in much the same fashion that they put up covered scaffolding around the buildings in Epcot when they go under rehab, painted to look like how the exterior should look, they are considering a similar tactic for the top of Space Mountain to help hide the bald spot if they remove it. How does everyone feel about this? I actually love the way Space Mountain is at WDW.

Closing Down A Theme Park
Mr Stratosphere replied to astroworldfan1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really miss MGM Grand Adventures in Las Vegas, It was a nice little park behind the MGM with an Indoor Coaster, Log Flume, Rapids Ride and a few other flat rides. And of course The Sky Screamer 250ft Sky Coaster. Man those were good times! Now all we have in Las Vegas are a couple of rides at a few of the casinos, and the Adventuredome. And for a local the Adventuredome can get old after a while. Since Las Vegas is heading towards more adult entertainment, we've seen a lot of places close like Scandia and Mountasia. I'm surprised that the Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix is still open. I wish that Vegas would have a major park, but again I don't mind heading to California every so often lol! -
Last tuesday I went to see the Frontier Implosion in Vegas, I wont miss one again its really amazing what they can do with these buildings. The Videos dont do justice of the sound and feeling of seeing one of these in person. A big thing now with Vegas Implosions is the countdown in Fireworks on the Building Heres a couple of links to the Stardust Implosion and the Frontier Implosion. Leaving Las Vegas ^ This site is really detailed with the Las Vegas Implosion These Implosions were only 8 months apart. Vegas doesn't hold on to any history, I'm surprised they haven't touched downtown.

Getting stuck on a ride!
Mr Stratosphere replied to disneygurlz2s's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Been stuck quite a few times on various rides. My favorite was on Tatsu Media Day. Tatsu was lift stopped and I remember all of the camera crews running from everywhere to get footage of it. We were only on the lift for about 7 mins and then the ride restarted. That was the best. The most recent was Pirates at Disneyland. We were stuck on the lift at the end of the ride for about 45 mintutes. -
