  1. I'm really wondering what the height of the woodie will be. Some sources say it will be 103', previous permits said 111', and now 113'? Whatever height it will be, it probably will be the tallest coaster in the park.
  2. Compact Gerstlauer Spinners (e.g. Pandemonium, SFDK) are a lot of fun and have a very small footprint. I think almost everyone agrees that Iron Wolf is horrible...
  3. This isn't a GP comment, but from other coaster enthusiasts on other websites: This is from a "coaster enthusiast forum" that really just has well informed GP as 90% of all the users, including the admin: About Diamondback: Moderator speaking: Admin speaking: This is why I love TPR this much and why I think that strict policies on this forum are good because these idiots would be everywhere on TPR.
  4. If they were to remove GL, it would be around 2014/2015. I think it might get one of those "renovations" that Six Flags likes to have, anyone want Bizarro: Cynical Spin? Really, SFMM is just letting all the non-coaster rides to just rot. Well, the non-coaster rides still existing.
  5. I think for the size of this park, it looks amazing. It definitely beats Pacific Park by a mile.
  6. I hate how in SFDK, the air gates open and when it is open fully, they close. I had a few times where I couldn't go on a ride because the ride ops can't re-open the gates so they just start the ride with empty seats. In CGA and other Cedar Fair parks, the ride ops can control the air gates' movement so they can close it when everyone has boarded and can re-open if there is any problems.
  7. Probably the facebook page thread would be better as TPR members aren't probably the posters there.
  8. This is exactly what happens to me on Flying Eagles. The only problem about flyers is their low capacity and it usually has a 10 minute wait when there isn't many people in line.
  9. About that person who took a "legal" POV of Verbolten, I looked at his videos and he has been posting a lot of BGW videos. Though, on one of the videos I saw this: Now, I don't think he asked permission to use that. Anyways, from watching that POV, the dark ride portion didn't have as much theming that I thought it would be and it looks kind of cheap.
  10. You can go to the Season Pass Processing center any time of day. I highly recommend on going there right before the park closes when there is no line because in the middle of the day there can be 2+ hour waits.
  11. Arnold Schwarzenegger - I saw him in Sacramento during the Christmas Lighting Festival in front of the Capitol. Buzz Aldrin - I shook his hand and he signed his biography on the USS Hornet; 40th anniversary of Apollo 11 Joe Montana - I shook his hand and got a photo during the opening of the Microsoft Store in Valley Fair It's funny that I "met" all these celebrities during events where they were the celebrity host.
  12. This was a fun experience, here are my top 24: 1. Norfolk, VA 2. Baltimore, MD 3. Charlotte, NC 4. Virginia Beach, VA 5. Little Rock, AK**** 6. San Diego, CA - Where I'm moving to 7. Orange County, CA 8. Oakland, CA** 9. Baton Rouge, LA**** 10. Long Beach, CA 11. Hampton, VA 12. El Paso, TX**** 13. Los Angeles, CA** 14. Rocky Mount, NC 15. Oklahoma City, OK**** 16. Fort Worth, TX** 17. San Jose, CA**** - Where I currently live 18. Memphis, TN** 19. San Francisco, CA** 20. Honolulu, HI - Would love to move here, but no theme parks 21. Greenville, NC 22. Augusta, GA** 23. Raleigh, NC - Was planning to move here in the past 24. Nashville, TN** ** - Would not want to live here **** - Would REALLY not want to live here I really don't know how all these Midwest cities came up, I would never want to live in the Midwest because I'm a Californian. If you're wondering why I gave San Jose 4 stars even though I live there, well there's a reason why I'm moving.
  13. I think that they're in the same market, but they're not that big of a threat to eachother since it's such a large distance. I think it's like Sea World San Diego & Universal Hollywood. I'm not a local as I live 2000 miles away from KY, so I too want to hear what a local has to say.
  14. It seems that HUSS rides have really horrible reliability as the Top Spins up in Nor Cal have a lot of down time. Here we go again...
  15. Since they don't want Green Lantern to invert, why not have the cars on Lex Luthor only go up 200', but we still get the world's tallest drop tower!
  16. So, if this is correct, then this whole height limit thing is just a way for Vallejo to have control. I thought this height limit was for a supposed nearby airport.
  17. I think Six Flags could've talked with Vallejo into building a coaster 4' taller. Anyways, the land clearing I said earlier was to change the terrain as that part of SFDK is very hilly.
  18. Yes! Actually two: Superman (SFDK) & Lex Luthor (SFMM). Were you at West Coast Bash 2012?
  19. I don't believe in ghosts at all and those various ghost hunting TV shows make me believe less in ghosts.
  20. Movies: Jim Carrey TV Shows: Three Stooges "True" Comedian: Carlos Mencia
  21. 7/10. I now know what jzoole is, but I think JimmyZ would've been better.
  22. All I have to say is wow! I usually don't say that about seeing a POV of a B&M Hyper (Leviathan included). Also, there is only 1 trim and the MCBR has no braking. I can see those air-time hills having floater-ejector air-time. This is starting to look like an Intamin hyper in terms of how quickly it goes through elements. A job well done B&M! Now I just hope B&M continues doing hypers like this.
  23. I found these on various Batman the Ride (SFMM) videos on youtube: Have you ever heard of paint? No comment needed.
  24. This thread "wasted" about 20 pages on discussion on how there is horrible capacity. Will there be very long lines? Yes. Really, I see Superman as the coaster to go on first when visiting SFDK.
