Doesn't seem appealing to me. Going to a restuarant for a ham sandwich doesn't do it for me. I bet it's just in Canada anyways.

SoCal Trip Indecision

I would do Sea World and the Belmont Park beach area on Friday and San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park on Saturday during the day and downtown SD and the Gaslamp district on Saturday night. If your going to the Zoo at 9AM you'll probably be done with it by 5 or 6PM. I second the idea of driving down south OC beaches on PCH (Hwy 1) on Friday morning. Sunday you may want to skip the Wild Safari Park and maybe sightsee around SD instead (the La Jolla beaches are really nice) or just see the general admission area of the Wild Safari Park for about 4 hours before heading up to Knott's for the rest of the day. Don't worry about missing Knotts Chicken Dinner, it's overrated, Roscoe's is better. On Monday you're not going to have much time depending on what time your flight is, so do something in the OC area if that's where your flying out of, like seeing Newport Beach or South Coast Plaza or maybe some morning rides at Knotts. If your looking for an authentic California breakfast, try a breakfast burrito from a reputable burrito place or Mexican restaurant. Use Yelp to find good, local restaurants. For other meals, there's a lot of good Mexican, Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Asian Fusion, Farm to Table, and Seafood restaurants in SoCal. For a good, cheap, fast food meal try a burger/fries/shake from In-N-Out or grilled chicken from El Pollo Loco. -

If I would have known that the Screamin' Swing was included with our Fast Lane I would have ridden it. Though I didn't see it running either time I went by it. I also would have gone on that flat that you said I would have never seen you on had I seen it. I went on Dominator once and didn't realize there were two types of drops and just went on whatever tower was the quickest walk on, which I felt was really tame compared to Demon Drop which I had ridden earlier. I also skipped the Whip, not thinking it would be better than Knoebels. It shows you my priority was getting all the credits, Demon Drop, and the log flume before lunch and hitting the water park after lunch. I agree with you that I liked Hydra better than Talon. I thought it was more interesting and unique with the JoJo roll. I also agree that I could have used more time in the Water Park to ride the non fast lane slides like Patriot's Plunge, but the time was adequate to ride all the Fast Lane water slides. I feel that people that like water parks like me enjoyed Dorney but coaster enthusiasts that don't like water parks hated or disliked Dorney. With the included water park, I liked Dorney better than CGA until I rode Gold Striker in September, but now I'm not so sure. CGA has a much nicer layout and a nicer look overall, with Gold Striker and a Sky Ride, but Dorney has a much better, complete water park, so it's a toss up. I'd say if you are going to spend at least a couple of hours in the Water Park, Dorney wins, but if you are not going to utilize the Water Park or its closed then CGA wins. But they are both run of the mill Cedar Fair parks. -

You know you are at a Six Flags park when they advertise 2 for $6 on bottled water as a promotion to make it sound like a good deal. -
That sucks! Which park was that? Was it a state park?

I wonder how the police would handle that at Six Flags St Louis...Sorry, too soon? You know you're at a Six Flags park when even the local park wildlife endorses the park's official snack Taki's. -
The trailer looks cool. Are they going back to the original park in this movie, because it sure looks like it in the trailer.

That makes sense. I wouldn't buy Fastlane style tickets at my home parks (basically all the parks in CA) unless it was a special ticketed event with limited time attractions like Halloween Haunt. But I would definitely consider buying Fastlane type tickets if it's a far away park and especially popular with visitors, like Cedar Point. EDIT: Just realized this is my 1000th post!

My next Pumpkin beer was brewed by the Mormons in Utah...or was it brewed by the SLC punks? Uinta Punk'n Harvest Pumpkin Ale

Another Pumpkin beer for me. This time it's one from Canada - Montreal, Quebec to be exact. St. Ambroise Pumpkin Ale from McAuslin Brewery

The sizes at Five Guys are crazy big. The little burger and little fries are not little at all. Together they are a full meal. Anyone that has ordered little fries at Five Guys before knows it's enough for 2-3 people.

Electric Car Theme Park charging stations
805Andrew replied to kayoss's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I hope to see these in more theme park parking lots/garages. The city of San Luis Obispo in my area has electric car charging stations in several spots including in front of Target and has had a couple of these charging stations/parking spots since the 90s. I always see a Nissan Leaf and/or Chevy Volt in these spots and the occasional Tesla or Plug-In Prius. I don't know about other states, but electric cars are becoming pretty popular here in CA. -
1. Streaming on Netflix is what I use the most for watching full length movies and videos, followed by movies and shows available on Charter On Demand (not pay per view ones), and renting the occasional Blu Ray or DVD from Redbox. 2. Netflix is the streaming service I use the most, followed by HBO Go and Showtime Anytime. I also have Amazon Prime. 3. I haven't bought any DVDs or Blu Rays in the last couple of years, so a zero average. 4. The only device I use is XBox Live on my XBox 360 to watch Netflix and HBO GO. Otherwise I use apps on my iPhone and iPad. 5. I probably watch more short videos on You Tube than anything else, except for TV shows that I watch on a regular basis.
