^agreed. As we have luckily no major injuries one can right go to learn what caused this and make sure it will not happen again. So they either check all trees by professionals or chop all trees with overhanging branches - which would be on the safer side. Some above asked as if you are liable if a tree in your garden falls on some others car? I do not know for the US but in Germany you are! It is your tree and you have to make sure - by for example having the tree checked regulary by a gardener - your tree will not hurt others or their property. I know this because I formerly worked as a civil servant for a city and we had our own gardeners employed doing these checks on all trees on public ground. This excludes of course damage during (!) storms of a certain magnitude. After a storm however you have to check for storm damage and take appropriate action.

Seeing this at first reminded me of Mindbender at Galaxyland but luckily there was no problem in design and upkeep of the ride - and that the impact was far less and all riders will mostly get off with more or less serious bruises. I guess this went out VERY lucky. Nevertheless I think this will the end to well shaded rides as it is a valid point to ask why branches of trees were hanging over the coaster. I do not know for rides but here it is forbidden by the law for branches or trees to hang over power lines and railway tracks - even if they still do damage by collapsing sideways - and more and more area is cleared here because of that. Generally I think the same should apply to amusement rides - OR every tree must be checked anually by a gardener.

On the one hand it would be fun a little swifter with some nice air - On the other hand it would be a different coaster, as far as I know it was calculated "on the paper" without the use of computers and thats why it also nearly stops before the loop. Hopefully SFMM takes a good long look at SooperDooperLooper at Hershey...

Now less (!) than a year until visiting all this great parks. Also shocked that they had such problems dispatching ElToro due to big riders not fitting in. Never so far witnessed this at Colossos (Heide-Park) or Balder (Liseberg). I am not thin - by Euro standards - but I always have about 10 centimeters left on the seatbelt. -

Was the Windseeker running with guests during the fireworks? Would strike me as odd from which I experienced with the American obsession for safety... But positive surprises are always welcome! -

Thinking the same thing. SuperSplash is not that wet - honestly it is quite hard to get a decent amount of wetness riding this watercoaster. Likely designed that way due to the Norwegian weather. -

We have some older of these around doing the smaller carnivals here. But sadly as far as I know the best ones from Schwarzkopf I remember as a kid are sadly no longer around. They really swung you up - like shown in the picture. -

Great Cedar Point pics. Wanna stay at the Hotel Breakers myself - any recommendations? Do they have a good evening bar? -

Looks like a fun little park sporting a great location. Just love osceanside/lakeside parks far more than most modern parks which are just in the middle of nowhere. With their collection of classic pinball machines I guess I will have restrain myself to not miss any of the credits next year... -

Helix is my fav 2010s coaster and well up inside my all time TOP5: 1. Thriller - original German carnival track layout 2. Olympia Looping 3. Helix - best active park sitdown coaster 4. Nemesis - best active park invert coaster The overall twistyness, the great airtime on bunnyhops and inside inversions, the great interactions with the flume, Uppswinget and Lisebergbanen plus the great setting on the small hill with great park and city views. Do not wanna think about having to wait two years now to re-ride Helix on my Wildfire tour... I cannot confirm the rough handling of the ride attendants when I was there. They only jammed the restrained when people clearly have not closed them properly or tried to get fat people in. Another minor point Mack could do better - like Gerstlauer - is putting red-green LEDs on the seats so attendants can see for themselves if the restraint is properly closed. Had it twice as they tried to get fat people in that they always had to check with the ride operator inside the control booth which slowed down operations. -

Yeah, as long as China does not downgrade their travel requirements as in doing it similar to the US with visa-waiver and online registration its also unlikely for me to visit China - cause that is the most hassle I am willing to do to travel. Going to some embassy and apply for a visa - getting service there like you are some kind of nauseance - well if they do not want me there are other countries who are happy to take my money. -
Colorful park and most rides look brand new. Thanks for the TR!

^I hope some German showmen will buy one of the portable versions Zamperla offers on their website. And as it looks there is a portable Air-Race somewhere. But of course those cannot have the great theming Tivoli's have. As for Helix I hope that Mack shows this ride potential buyers so we will see other great Mack Megacoaster. -

^also planned for Drayton Manor but guess its good luck to have 2 out of 3 days dry weather in England. Will do London with some friends in September and if weather permits visit Thorpe and Chessington - with Warner Studio Tour as bad weather alternative. Of course also two days for sights and pubs. Googling you can find tons of great craft beer breweries and pubs... -

Simon's Summer Adventures

The final day of my trip saw a very crowded visit to Tivoli Gardens on a sunny Saturday. But on my main mission this time - riding my first Zamperla AirRace I suceeded with 8 spins on this great inverting flat. Thinking that this ride is even family friendly as the inversions are very smooth - loved the upside down hangtime every now and then. The AirRace also had the shortest waits at about 10-15 minutes all day. Next to that I only did 2 spins on Demonen and one on the beautifully restored Rutschebanen - also grabbing my "100 Years Rutschebanen" on ride photo. Also enjoyed the funny pantomime shows at the historic theatre with the signature Peacock Curtain. Welcome to Tivoli Hotel Tivoli feeling so great. So guys: Spot the boobs! Love the Zamperla AirRace. Hope for a portable version on German carnivals soon. YAY for hanging upside down Anyone up for Plane-On-A-Stick? A day to polish the sun A teen gymnast tournament was going on on the main stage during the day Kids play area Demonen running fine that day Plane-On-A-Stick in manual mode Can I buy one of these for my garden? The HighFlyer had crazy lines all day - next time... Baby peacocks! Funny shows at the Pantomime Theatre Mechanical Peacock Curtain ...and the real life version Beautifully restored Rutschebanen Welcome to the Alpenhof Bahnstation Can one have a room at the Alpenhof? Big Band music on the main stage in the evening YAY for 100 years of most excellent fun Lights on These weird fellas look at you inside the toilet stalls The last pic for now. thanks for following - and please comment! -

Interesting to see how this "spin-off" will turn out. Will it go like the Schwarzkopf spin-off Gerstlauer or the Vekoma spin-off KumBak??? -

I still say just a costumer who wanted a coaster similar to the Bobsled and wanted it done by Mack. Similar to the MegaLite done by Mack...
