Theme Park Review's Italy 2012 Tour!
simaticable replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Why, it's not like he can anyway. (I'm not going into detail on the strict Catholic lifestyle. I mean I could, but what would be the point?) Robb, you are going to the deepest pits of hell for licking that, and I'm going there for laughing at it. Johnny "I'm Catholic, so I should totally know about this stuff" B. -

Secret Dangers of Amusement Parks?

I'm surprised that the article didn't mention Intamin cables. They're the real problem. -

^I hope that glass is strong and thick. Hail's going to destroy it if it isn't. (I know RCT3 and all, but realism wise.) -
A Coasting for Kids 2012 Weekend!
simaticable replied to rollin_n_coastin's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Menchies is amazing! There's a couple in North Georgia and one within 10 minutes of my house. Also, great trip report by the way. I need to do one of these trips one day. -
Forest Thrills (RCT2)
simaticable replied to simaticable's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
It's been a while since this park was last updated. This park went through a major restructuring project meant to take a week, but more time was put to do some other things such as test the park. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ February 28, 2001 Forest Thrills will reopen for its 8th season Memorial Day weekend! The park will reopen after a huge restructuring project which caused it to close early last season. The major reason was for construction of the new coaster. The park will reopen with all attractions open. New for the park is the Monorail with stations on the Midway, U.S.A section, and Thrill Center sections. Plans are in the work for a fourth station and a Sky Buckets ride. The hotel will now have a path that leads from the front office to the park entrance. Four major sections were built within the park: SCR1.BMP Eagle Quest SCR2.BMP Thrill Gardens Cyclone's fountain SCR3.BMP Definitely old school design SCR4.BMP Lake with flats... Nothing else to say. SCR5.BMP Midway SCR6.BMP Midway monorail station SCR7.BMP Park entrance SCR8.BMP Blue Thunder's new layout. (No more Arrow nonsense) SCR9.BMP Thrills Center monorail station SCR10.BMP Patriotic station in U.S.A section...check SCR11.BMP Mountain cruisers; very different than Lakeside Drivers SCR12.BMP Overview -
[RCT3] Colorado Canyon
simaticable replied to goldiehound's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^But this park only has two attractions operating. Daily updates are NEVER a good idea. It shows that you are once again trying to rush the park for an update. No one really wants to see a park with limited progress. You should take time to improve your work instead of wasting time to work on a park that shows stuff that we already know. Here's a question, why? Why rush the park? Why not try to show the best work that you could possibly do? Why post an update everyday? It's not like we're dying to see the same stuff that we've already seen. Why not post an update when there's new rides or when there's significant progress? You're cheating us and you're cheating yourself. Not trying to be mean just trying to be real. Also, now that I think about it, why is the park names Colorado Canyon? I don't see anything indicating it's in Colorado or in a canyon. (Mods, if that was too harsh, please feel free to change it.) -

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
simaticable replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They're spending more money on those rides because they want the park to be more focused on flat rides than roller coasters. A park has to have a balance of roller coasters, family rides and flat rides, and kiddie rides. They're rounding out their ride collection instead of being more focused on coasters. ^Ok we don't love the place. The park believes more in coasters than in cleanliness. I swear, you are blinded by the coasters to take a look at what the park has become since the last president left. The park needs to take care of what they have before they invest in more money. -
I thought it was any coaster in existence.
