Space Academy Here are some pictures of the rides in Space Academy. Layout shot. Swashbuckler's Cove next!! Interesting turnaround. Here is the tophat. Not much theming around the ride at the moment. Here is a shot of the station, which I am rather proud of. A bit scary at night, yes. Where does the track end?!?! And then there's Saturn V. Here is the base of Space Tower, which is hard to get a good shot of. Whoops... maybe I should get rid of that sign. And because I am a dark ride fan girl, Alien Attack is one of my favorite rides in the park. Here is the Enterprise. Here is the inside of the trolley station inside Space Academy. It is, in my opinion, the nicest of the 3 trolley stations. The same restaurant from the trolley... Yeah, I won't be eating there today. From the Moon Bouncer, you can see the park's most popular restaurant. Moon Bouncer. Flying Saucers. Here is the entrance to Space Academy.

SEASON 1 REVIEW UPDATE (I know it says Year 9 on the screen, just try to ignore that ) Season 1 at Summerworld Amusement Park has come to a close. I decided to visit the park on the last operating day to get some great shots to share with you all. The park went above and beyond, treating me to a super exclusive helicopter tour on which I got some great coaster layout shots. I guess they knew I'd bring them good publicity through TPR! Anyway, here is an overview of the rides available at the park: Midway/Main Street Area Skyride - For those extra lazy days, this ride takes you from one end of Main Street to the other. Summerworld Trolley - Get some great views of the park on this trolley ride which takes you between Main Street, Kiddie Land, and Space Academy. Swashbuckler's Cove Escape from Davy Jones' Locker - This water coaster starts off as a dark ride that tells the tale of a pirate who tried to stage a mutiny against his captain and was sent to the Locker. The ride ends as an exciting, fast-paced roller coaster ride symbolizing the pirate's escape. Treasure Falls Mini Golf - A scenic miniature golf course that is a great relaxing change of pace from the thrill rides in the area. Cannonball - This flying turns ride takes riders through hairpin turns, heart pounding helixes, and super smooth drops. Bounty - One of the first rides to be built in the park, this pirate ship is very popular with guests. Kiddie Land The Lighthouse - This spiral slide takes on the appearance of a lighthouse. Candy Coaster - This sugary sweet coaster packs a tangy punch. Tugboat - Be the captain of your own tugboat during a crazy storm that spins your ship over and over! Tea Cups - A perennial favorite, the tea cups are a fun ride that produce some great, dizzy photo opportunities. Merry-Go-Round - This is a staple of every good amusement park. Gumdrop Mountain - Take an exciting flume ride around a mountain that is being mined for candy! Space Academy Flying Saucers - Learn to pilot your own UFO. Enterprise - This centerfuge is part of your training to get used to the high G forces of space launch. Alien Attack - Fight aliens and save the human species in the state-of-the-art dark ride. Moon Bouncer - This space trampoline will get you accustomed to the 1/8 gravity found on the moon. Space Tower - This observation tower will allow you stunning views of the entire park. Saturn V - Be launched into space and zoom around the galaxy on this exciting roller coaster. On to the pictures!! I don't really care either way, cause it's a fun ride! More pictures of the other themed areas to follow!! That fact combined with the location of the ride, which is separated from the rest of Kiddie Land, has led to rumors that it is not a part of that area at all, but in fact the start of a new themed area. This flume ride features a HUGE drop. And the crowning jewel of the area, Gumdrop Mountain Here is a picture of Candy Coaster's layout that I got on my awesome helicopter tour. A look inside the neat station. The Candy Coaster is surprisingly the most popular coaster in the park! Here are the teacups. Not many people riding this one today. Tugboat is a fun ride, I was not surprised to see several adults without kids riding throughout the day. And the Merry-Go-Round. Over to Kiddie Land, here is a picture of The Lighthouse. I always find some kid staring up at the skyride. This kid's expression cracks me up. The buildings have finally been filled in. It's actually quite a lovely spot now, whereas before it was desolate and uninviting. Welcome to Summerworld Amusement Park. As you can see, the park is quite busy today. Everybody is getting in their last rides of the season.

Park Is Dead
niiicolaaah replied to the ghost's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I don't know why, but I am really liking the blue station for the water coaster. It reminds me of an underwater castle or something. That reminds me, I need to feed the fish. My fish thank you! Also, good on you for making paths that actually connect... HOWEVER, I hope you fill in the center of the park next, and don't just have a huge square path around the park with stuff only on the outside. When I am making a park, I like to start from one location and grow out the park one step at a time... for instance, place a carousel by the park entrance, then a ferris wheel just past the carousel, then some food shops just past the ferris wheel, etc. Gives it more of a "real park" feel than a big geometric set of paths. Keep at it! -

Does that launch you backwards? Boy, I have a poor memory, I only rode that 2 and-a-half years ago... -

Um... WHAT?!?!?! What coasters did Arrow make 30 years ago that featured a backwards launch??? -
favourite coffee-brand/company!
niiicolaaah replied to gerd.muller's topic in Random, Random, Random
My favorite coffee is Tim Horton's coffee, but that could just be because it was EVERYWHERE back home and I miss it. Other than that, I will drink any coffee, except I HATE Starbucks! Their regular coffee tastes just totally burnt and gross to me, and I like to drink my coffee black. So I can only drink their "fancy" drinks that are way too expensive and loaded with way too much sugar and junk. Therefore I just stay away from it! I LOVE coffee and I hope to grind it at home some day!! Oh and I don't remember anything about the coffee I drank in Europe. It was all hotel coffee though, so I wouldn't know what it was anyway. -
My overall ranking is based on my most recent ride experience. For example, I rode Wildcat at Hershey Park several times in 2007 and several times in 2008. I found it to be generally rougher in 2008, so on my Mitch Hawker poll for this year, I bumped it down a couple of spots. If I ride it again in 2009 and it's running better, I may put it back higher. As for letting other people's opinion sway my rankings, I certainly do not. For instance, I heard many people bash Ghostrider before I rode it, but I thought it wasn't that bad. Also, people told me how painful X2 is, but I liked it. However, I only got to ride it once, so if I were to ride it more times in different seats I would probably rank it lower. But i can only rank based on my particular experience.

Theme Park Review Hoodie Sale!
niiicolaaah replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
TPR hoodies are awesome!! I would call the pullover one a "medium" weight - I would wear it over a t-shirt outside probably in an average Pennsylvania October and March/April. They are also good for a chilly spring/summer/fall evening! I want to be a TPR model!! lol Yeti Drop says "BUY TPR HOODIES!!" -
[RCT2] No name Park
niiicolaaah replied to upside down's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Looking great so far! Very realistic considering the limits of RCT2! As for the name, I think it should be something Gardens because this looks like it will be a very pretty park once it's complete. -
Wow, that is the most ridiculous thing ever. More power to the porn industry for trying to take advantage of the government I guess, but if they actually get a bailout I think I will have lost what little shred of faith I had left in the government and I'm moving to a different country!

While I found Millennium Forceless to be rather dull and boring, I do have to admit these are really cool!! -
Expedition Everest Yeti Dead?
niiicolaaah replied to the ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was sad enough Bird-on-a-Stick never worked any of the times I rode, I'll be REALLY sad if the Yeti doesn't work when we go back this year! Personally I think the Yeti adds a lot to the ride, it certainly looks real enough when you're flying by it! Although I WOULD like to get a closer/slower view of it. -
Six Flags Mexico (SFM) Discussion Thread
niiicolaaah replied to zburns999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think it was mentioned a while back that people may not be so critical of the ride there. Though it would be nice to see them add everything that is supposed to be there and not leave stuff out at the last minute like they did at Great Adventure. What was supposed to be in GADv's ride and was left out? Just curious. -
Brand new WaltDisneyWorld.com!
niiicolaaah replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Awesome! I especially like the "Dinosaur" video, it totally captures the essence of the ride.... dark, confusing, and with random dinosaurs! I like this a lot better than the old website. It also seems to load faster (at least on my computer), which was my biggest complaint about the old website other than being confusing to navigate. -
Just think, instead of wasting the time to go to Costco for Red Bull and post this TR, you could have been working on your portfolio and then you wouldn't need to pull an all-nighter! Kids.

Update: 1/2/08 I have done some additional work on the park. See below for the update! As always, suggestions and constructive criticism are welcome!! Here's a better view. More to come!!! Speaking of Escape from Davy Jones' Locker, its station is now complete! You can even see its lift hill from the queue of Escape from Davy Jones' Locker. You get a good view of the new ride from the pirate ship. The station is located over the water. I heard that, in the rush to get the coaster open, they did not complete its theming. More work will be done to it in the off-season. Maybe it's because the park just opened their 2nd coaster, located in Swashbuckler's Cover. It's a flying turns named Cannonball! There were a lot of people heading into the park today.
