1. I really don't blame NU for losing Danny Phantom. Of the parks out there, they're among the few who kept one running this long. It reached the end of its service life and I'm sure the expenses to restore it couldn't be justified. Plus, they've held on to most of their unique rides and installed plenty of uncommon attractions in recent years. Look at the experiment that was Shell Shock. They were also the first to open a Chance Downforce/Unicoaster as well. They are the only ones (as far as I know) to still operate a Zierer Hexantanz/Tumbler, they built the first Gerstlauer Spinner, and also have an Intamin Surf Rider. 2. Most locals would hate to see the original theme replaced by a nick IP. Remember the reaction to the hinted Barnyard re-theme? That attraction holds a special place in the hearts of most Minnesotans, and hopefully will remain untouched for the forseeable future.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.... And honestly, to me that was the one moment this year that I felt showcased the brilliant writing we've come to expect from the hanging. I also hate that they tease the audience with potentially haning Trump. It makes it so that nobody is excited about hanging the actual victim. They know they can't do trump, despite what the audience wants, so IMO they should never let him get close to the gallows. Just bash him earlier in the show and don't give the audience blue balls.

^Just a suggestion- Don't post attendance numbers. That's not public info, and most parks don't want employees sharing it. And yeah, haunt is one of the busiest times of year for a lot of parks. It also feels busier because the entire day's attendees are in the park all at the same time (on Fridays, and most of them at the same time on Saturdays). -
Yeah, a lot of AP holders have gotten really entitled and are freaking out about this. If I had a dollar for every time I saw or heard the phrase "what Walt would have wanted" today, well....I'd have enough money to renew my Disneyland pass. Having experienced first hand how insanely crowded the parks have become every single day, I don't blame them for charging more to hopefully improve the guest experience. It is unfortunate that they have to use those methods rather than expand, but that's clearly the position they're in.

When I rode my first Skycoaster (180ft model), I thought it was the greatest ride ever and that nothing could top it. Then I went bungee jumping. There's something about falling face-first towards the pavement with seemingly nothing to stop you, slow you down, or restrict your movement. Really the only thing I've done that might top it is the SCAD Tower, which allows you to fall 100 feet into a net without being attached to any ropes/cables/bungee cords. Slingshots are really fun, but aren't nearly as terrifying as any of the other three. So in order.... 1. Bungee Jump/SCAD Tower tie 2.Skycoaster (Don't pay a lot for it unless it's at least a 180' model) 3.Slingshot

Except the people who are too poor to go to CP at all. -
Disappointing to hear. I really would love to know what percentage of guests are actually able to experience this attraction. I agree, and I also feel like this is another one of recent mazes that build up to nothing. Just as it felt like it was going somewhere, I found myself out in front of the log ride. I guess the queen is supposed to be the finale, but she doesn't do anything except sit in the chair trying to look hot. It seems like they run out of money on these bigger mazes before they're complete. Also one of my pet peeves is unfinished mazes. I know it was opening night, but gunslinger's grave doesn't work with all of those buildings missing their roofs. Forevermore had a lot of uncovered rooms too. It's not AS bad there because of the location, but it still hurts the quality. All of that said, I did enjoy the layout changes to black magic and voodoo.

Idk, but All Wheels Extreme has been at CP for like 7 years. -
What's your favorite Flat ride?
dippindotsguy8 replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've only ridden the Skyscraper models. They are actually one of my favorite flats. If you're at all uncomfortable with heights, it will scare you. The forward flips are crazy because you're facing straight down at the top and you're moving really fast. -

First of all, it's not necessarily true that they've been blacklisted. Many of the US parks are simply focused on other things right now that other manufacturers specialize in. Also, there really isn't anything "unfair" about it if they had been blacklisted. If parks would rather invest in a product that's more reliable, even if it pushes less boundaries, then they lost that battle fair and square. -

Never said VF needed world class coaster to stay a float. Never said it was a coaster mecca either, I am just asking for one new coaster every 10 years to update that category of the park's ride offerings. . The park needs a new coaster (because everyone knows VF is not getting a world class coaster) to keep thrill riders coming back to the park and that means the local thrill riders. If you agree with the way they are trying to grow the park then great. Again, I personally don't have patience for it anymore. They have spent the last 5 years adding family attractions and 10 years without a new coaster. When does the thrill seeker who frequents the park get a new attraction? I am bored with the park and like others on this thread will not be renewing my season pass for next year. Alright, time for a poll. How many of you will not be returning to the park until they build a new coaster? Only answer if you're serious.
