Hardly. Two parks that have a much different feel than knott's were given giga coasters. Also, Knott's entrance is perfect the way it is. The locals don't want the park to look less like what they remember from growing up. Response to recent additions shows the opposite. Plus, there is already a prominent B&M inversion right up against the gates, so that box is already checked if you ask me. Not sure if you're trolling or serious, but... 1. The park is not in "dire need" of more coasters. While I'm sure an additional one would be appreciated, there are other issues that need more immediate attention like.... 2. Ghostrider. It doesn't desperately need an Iron Horse treatment. Not every park needs to be Magic Mountain. That said, they do need to do something substantial to change the ride's status quo. Something that is down for extensive rehabs and track work four times a year should not ride as terribly as it does. Hopefully the park can look in to a more permanent solution than the frequent patch jobs it goes down for. As others have said, RMC's topper track might be great for this, along with a set of new trains. I really would love to see the next "thrill addition" be a restoration of this ride, bringing it back to its former glory in a way that will keep it there for longer than a couple of months. 3. No need for an additional flume. The one they have is a classic that they just poured tons of money into.

Is Goliath extremely low capacity or something? Or is it just that much more popular than everything else in the park? I understand why they don't let all flash pass users reserve the ride (most parks only have their newest attraction on platinum) but it seems crazy that even when paying for the highest upgrade, you still are limited to one or two reservations total.

As others have said, Cedar Downs. I also never go without riding the skyride and Troika -

How was your experience with the dining pass? Thinking about getting one since I'm gonna be home most of the summer. -

Good point my friend... Being on top of things the vast majority of the time buys you some grace. -
For this reason, I'm SO glad they are doing a passholder preview. I will be out of state for the whole summer starting on the 23rd, so at least I'll get to ride it the way it's supposed to be a few times. Then I won't be as disappointed should they fall off the wagon and quit dueling by the end of the summer.

Most of my issues with Magic Mountain have been with how the park and rides are operated in general, and in the past the staff was less than satisfactory. That said, I have never felt unsafe at the park. I know exactly what you are talking about with Great America and having multiple broken seats on each train at several rides, and I thought that looked horrible. At Magic Mountain, while rides might be down because of various issues/not having the staff to get everything going on time, I've never felt that I was in any kind of danger on a ride that was open for operation. Not sure if that helps, but that's been my experience.

I personally would go and hope for the best. It shouldn't be crowded the way opening weekend would be, and at least at VF, they seem to have a pretty loose rain policy (unlike Cedar Point, Knott's, and some others). Most rides only shut down for lightning or excessively high rains. Unless of course you just don't want to be in bad weather, which is totally understandable! I'm just saying I wouldn't worry about closed rides ruining the experience -

I would hope Raging Rapids never leaves. Those are relatively rare, and it's one of my favorite things at the park. Hurricane Falls, I could personally care less, but I don't think it would leave. It's too much of a waterpark standard, and has one of the longest waits on hot days. -

Woah woah woah slow down. Mean streak, sure. The other two you mentioned are well-respected rides. They may not be your cup of tea, but don't tell someone not to bother riding them. -

That's a really good question... I don't even know what it looks like it could be. It's nothing.... you're just seeing the pull-out of the helix behind it. With the glare it looks like it's overlapping, but it's not. Parks always use wrong pictures for things, and it never means anything. -

Not that I'd ever miss it anyways, but I definitely can't afford to miss this year's WCB. Between Twisted Colossus and Knott's upping their game each year, September can't come soon enough. -

I think the sling shot rule could also apply here? Just wait until the state fair to get your slingshot fix The fair doesn't have a slingshot nearly as big (or non-sketch looking) as any of the park models. Superloops do not belong in any nice amusement park. They are ghetto to the core, and don't provide a particularly good experience. Sling shots are a more intense experience, and are entertaining for spectators as well as riders. There's a reason they're priced at a premium whether you're at a fair or a park. -

Agreed I would love to see this. They're absolutely frightening, and It would be really cool on Power Tower's Island if that ever leaves (unlikely, but it'd be a great view). Then something like Falcon's Fury could go in the WT turnaround. Eh, pendulum rides have gotten overrated honestly. There's a good number of other flat rides and things that I'd like to see first. I hope you're kidding about super loops. Just hit up the state fair in the fall to get your fix -

Take some tums and relax for a little while. But yeah, it's a shame that it currently is wasted space. -

Deep in the depths of Planet Snoopy, such a ride exists. It's called Woodstock Whirlybirds. Correct, and I don't think they ever actually had a set of them until 2011. -

Fair enough haha Also: In case any of you are still worried about a rough landing on these new slides, here's a video to check out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptyWdutPjZ8&app=desktop It looks like the same manufacturer, so I would guess VF's will feel similar. -
