Last day of our Tokyo Disney Resort and last Japan update. I hope you all have enjoyed reading about our amazing Japan trip. I'm ready to go back and definately will. I will have two more updates after this of my time spent at Laura's hometown Portland. During our Japan trip, we accumalated a lot of coins. So our goal on the last day was to spend all leftover yen on the most important thing to Laura and I. That of course is FOOD!!! We also spent the last day hitting up our favorite rides at both parks and checking out more areas of the parks. It was a great day but also a sad one as we knew our Japan trip was over. This was my favorite flavor of popcorn. If you don't know, Tokyo Disney popcorn is very popular and has different flavors. We of course had the ride the carousel to start our day. I'm Laura's Prince Seriously, this ride gets better with each ride. Home of Duffy. I remember seeing Duffy the first time at EPCOT and had no clue who he was. So we thought, we had saw all of DisneySea but then we found this area. This area was so relaxing compared to the other areas can be packed. They love Duffy in Japan Laura, don't fire! I'm glad we didn't miss this area. Another beautiful day at the park. I believe it rained the day we left Japan. So I took this, thinking cool statue. Not knowing that added Duffy to the statue. Back to riding our favorites. We got our fast pass for Tower. So we were walking by and decided to see if ToyStory Mania was a short line. It must of just reopen or something because the line was only 20 minutes. The theming is great in the queue line. I got Beaver. Time to check in. Shiriki Mmm popsicle What the heck? Oh its a lint roller. Just an example of the wacky merchandise. And just like Magic, we are at Monsters Inc. Hardly working Who wants to ride? More food. This time ice cream sandwiches. Ahh, I love seeing this. Disney's best promotion for a product is the smell of honey at the end of Pooh's Hunny Hunt. You can't skip Honey Popcorn after. Another ride on another favorite. Spooky This will come handy later. So we got in line for Jungle Cruise and about 5 minutes later it broke down. We figure we wait but they cleared the whole line out and gave us a priority ticket for any attraction at either park. Not to shabby. One last ride at Disneyland. We watched Fantasmic! then rode Journey twice using our priority ticket before the park closed. Great way to finish out. The next day was lots of traveling back to America. We will be back! -
I checked out Fright Fest on Sunday. The park was packed when I first arrived so I splurged on front of the line passes. plus TPR has spoiled me on waiting for lines. One of the new haunted houses now use the old indoor queue line for Road Runner Express. A great use of space that hasn't been used in years. Overall the houses were good but I really saw an improvement on the scare zones this year. Here's a few photos from my night. Enjoy! So this year SFFT started loading up the train with monsters and release them each night. I missed it but it's a cool way of getting the night started Halloween time is the best at theme parks. They really improved the scare zones this year. Iron Rattler was hauling butt Made my short visit nice New house in old Road Runner queue Cool scare zone I've never actually been to the park late enough this season to see the sign lit up.

And now Tokyo DisneySea or the real reason we went to Japan. TDS is amazing and the theming is beyond anything I could of imagine. When I first walked into the park, I was in shock of the place. As we ventured deeper into the park, that shock never went away. Journey to the center of the Earth was tons of fun. I finally got to meet face to face with Lava Monster and Shiriki. Another great day was had at Tokyo Disney Resort. On to the photos since I have many. Waiting in line to get into the park. The calm before the shock. The Shock and Awe moment We first went over to the Tower to grab a fast pass. A beautiful, themed building. Anywhere you look is great theming. Making our way to Journey. This area is so unique and different. I love how well hidden the rides are in this area. Seriously, am I still at Disney? YAY! Waiting for our first of many rides on Journey. The theming was great in the queue. I absolutely loved the ride, lava monster, thunder room and fire. You even get a little airtime in the back row. Found a random waterfall. This was in a corner where they could of just let it be but no. Looking for Flounders coaster, we checked out Little Mermaid area. All I can is wow, this area is so nice looking. I'm sad we missed the Little Mermaid show. We meant to go back on the third day. Now that we rode this we can go back to focusing on the great rides. Such a great sign for a kiddie coaster. At least that was my hope but I was not a fan of our next ride. Laura the 80's called and want their shirt back. So Raging Spirits was just meh. It looks like a fun layout but to many brakes. So the story and theming is great. For the ride itself, I did not like the shoulder seat belts. Just checking to see how long the line is. Using our Fast Pass for Tower of Terror Time to take our guided tour. Someone needs to fix this elevator. The owner of the Hotel. I love they even put a menu for the restaurant at the hotel. I want to dance in the ballroom. Hi, I'm Woody. Since the line was long, we decided to skip it that day. Why is Toy Story Mania so popular? I like it, but its nothing special. We both got up to Racin Rabbit They had a few games to play in an area near the line. Broadway Baby We're so happy to be at DisneySea Hard to find an area not themed in this park. Electric Railway Now to check out Port Discovery I felt Incredible meeting her. Aquatopia This ride lived up to the hype. It does nothing but is so random and awesome. The water is like a foot deep. One of the best dark rides out there. Great theming in the queue line. I think I took this because I was happy I had fast passes to ride Journey again. No Sun Sun Indiana Jones Adventure was of course great. It felt different to me but is it the same version of Disneyland? So at least one of the Indiana Jones rides is great. I like the warning for the 360 Loop. I really liked this ride. We only rode it once but I still have the song from the ride stuck in my head. Our first of many Gyoza's Mmmm I stopped eating it long enough to snap this photo. In case your curious whats inside. So later on in our day, the park seemed to be busier so we decided to ride StormRider. I thought the preshow was better than the ride. It will be interesting to see it as Finding Nemo. So we ran into a few people from the group and they all said nothing but good things about this ride. So we immediately walked over. Holy Crap, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was a ride I did not expect to be good. Back towards the entrance. The Tower of Terror dominates the sky. Hmm, what other park have I been to on this trip with a globe in the front? At night, this park is so different in a good way. I'll just let the photos speak for themselves. Oh look its Mini-World of Color It was hard to catch good shots with my iPhone of Fantasmic. My favorite version of the show. Thanks for reading. The next update will be both Disney parks and Food!. -
This sounds strangely familiar to your other half!!! How am I just now hearing of this?

Finally, we made it to Tokyo Disney Resort. This was one of the MAJOR reasons we went on this trip. We spent three days at the resort starting with Disneyland, then DisneySea and the last day was park hopping to both. Those of you who have been following along might remember we visited TDL on our first night in Japan. It helped our day out since we could focus on the rides we haven't rode. Of course, we first went to Pooh to get a fast pass. I really enjoyed TDL. The classic rides of TDL remind me as to why I enjoy this hobby. It seems the saying is true " you have to spend money to make money". This is true for the whole Tokyo Disney Resort. Waiting in line to get in. They were celebrating Tanabata Days. Got our fast passes for Pooh. " it's a small world after all" Beautiful facade I ain't afraid of no ghosts Beautiful day. Haunted Mansion is a classic I always read the tombstone theming. We saw Splash Mountain had a two hour wait so we decided to fast pass it. Why is Laura grinning ear to ear? Oh, right! She's getting a new credit. It's been a while since I've rode Thunder Mountain at any Disney park. Happy to be at Disney but starting to wish we had fast pass Thunder Mountain instead. I didn't even know I had this photo or the next of the ride. What's your favorite version of the ride? Time for our fast pass have I mention I enjoy this ride? Yay, favorite ride of this park. We went and got our kiddie coaster in. Rode this because we thought it had a short line but we were wrong. So I love to know if the Roger Rabbit movie considered a classic in Japan? Minnie Laura I forgot how fun this attraction is. My smashed penny...what? Japan doesn't have pennies? Then this was clearly dark magic. Main Street Another castle shot Lunch/snack time They had a pretty good deal on the food. While we were eating, we noticed the parade started. We had a great view from our table. Caught the last part of it as we walked by. They really seem to love the Jungle Cruise here. Each time we walked by, the line was long. We had time to spend and of course decided not to spend it wisely. I kidd, I like the Swiss Family Treehouse. Castle view from the treehouse. The water contraption is always cool to look at. I did not know this version had Stitch in it. I could be wrong but it seems Stitch has a bigger following in Japan. The pirates still chase the women in this version. Arrrggghhh, Matey! Aye be sendin' ye down to Davey Jones' Locker Sorry our faces are in the way of the beautiful castle photo. So we took a small break/nap and went back to the park at night. It was nice having the Monorail and hotel so close by. Sign of excellence. Tanabata Days is the traditional Japanese Star Festival and is held annually at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea June 24 through July 7. Dinner time, we decided to just try a random item at the park. Cool restaurant Mr. Robot, can I have a coke? Small World facade at night. Most of Fantasyland was empty that night so we were able to ride a lot the last few hours. Couldn't pass up the carousel. Laura loves carousels Classic dark ride. Even got a ride on Dumbo. Time to use our Fast passes. My oh my, what a wonderful day! We literally walked up when the castle projection show was starting. The next few photos are from the show. Seriously, we had a great day at TDL. Thanks for reading. Boom! Its really amazing what they can do with that technology. -

Why in the world would I post photos from Taco Bell in Japan? Here in America its okay food and we have plenty of them. That's not the case in Japan. Before the trip, someone posted that Taco Bell recently reopen in Japan after being gone from the country for a while. They designed Taco Bell as more of a restaurant than a fast food place. Both Laura and I thought it was great. That same night we went to Tower Records. Yep, 7 floors of music and awesomeness. The next day we all got on the bus to go to Joypolis. I thought the coaster was fun and unique. They need to update the graphics on some of the attractions. Their main issue is low capacity. The bus also took us to an empty fish market. Oh and we checked out the Emperor's castle on our way to Tokyo Disney Resort. It was raining bad that night but I'm glad we made the stop. The line never let up. Taco Bell is definitely doing something right. I like how they set up the seating area. There was more seating downstairs but it was packed. I was craving/missing Mexican food at this point so I got a little of everything. Waiting for our food. Even the seasoning in the chips was delicious. It was pouring outside and still had a long line. Mmm so good. Seriously, I was a little shocked how great Taco Bell was. Music is life. I found a DC comic book in Japanese. Who wishes we still had huge music stores in America? Rocking out. I was caught dancing twice. I found Laura. I seriously lost her for a while. 7 floors of music and of course she's in the record section. By the way, unlike DVDs. Music CDs will play anywhere. Night snack. I found the hidden vending machines at our hotel in the bowling alley. Its not a TPR tour with out a bus. This is a cool area with lots of attractions. I wanted to check out the Lego center but you need a kid. Joypolis was nice enough to let us enter first which helped a lot with the low capacity rides. There is a coaster turn in this photo. It's a dark-shooter-launch-spinning-fun coaster. I probably missed something. Racing simulators. The ride broke down while on it and so we got a re-ride. This was like a bobsled game and if we timed it right, we spun the whole thing upside down. There was of course a line for the coaster so we decided to walk around the mall. Oh I almost forget the best thing at Joypolis. Yes, that is a game over the urinal. I forced myself to pee twice. So inside the mall, we found this store selling boxes that had random crap in it. We of course took a chance. Some of the boxes had tickets in them meaning you won something cool. Ended up with more stuff to give to my nieces but it was fun to try our luck. I don't have any photos of the fish market because there was nothing really going on. But here are a few of the Emperor's castle area. New culture credit So this castle looked just like the one we saw previously. We arrived to our Disney hotel. This was our view from the room for the next few days. We decided to go eat at Ikspiari ( it's their version of Downtown Disney) I miss this sign...ugh Finally, got to see these in person. Obligatory monorail photo I had a few TPR members including Robb recommend this place. Let's celebrate our first night at Toyko Disney It was delicious. Better than the weird pizza we tried before. Mmm, I can still smell the pizza cooking. I like to add my recommendation for Pitta. I went ahead and bought most of my gifts for family and friends. We walked around Ikspiari. Does anyone know if they sell this map somewhere? The next update will be Tokyo Disneyland. -

Man where does the time go? Anyways, this is a huge update. It's the most photos in one update so far. But also in the next update we will end up at Tokyo Disney Resort. So get excited for that but first let's talk about Cosmoworld and Sea Paradise. Cosmoworld - The park had a lot of fun attractions. The Diving vanish coaster was cool to finally see in person. I had seen videos and photos of it on TPR for many years. A great park to spend a few hours at. Sea Paradise - It started to rain lightly on us while at Sea Paradise but they still had all the attractions open. Fun drop tower, and the surf coaster was a lot of fun. In fact I heard some say it was their surprise favorite on the trip. From what I'm told, the new trains did wonders for the coaster. But the true highlight of the park is riding the boats with the Dolphins. Starting the morning off with a breakfast buffet. Double fisting orange juice Walking to Cosmoworld The park is in a nice area The owner of Cosmoworld loves TPR. In case you didn't know, the park is divided into two areas. These are the rides in one area. These are the rides that you have to walk across a bridge to get to. Photo with the Mascot Entrance to Vanishing coaster And now for magic Watch as the train Starts to Vanish Wild Mouse on top of the roof. We were loading it different ways to try to get it to spin crazy but never could get it going. I can't remember who won out of the group but still a fun concept for log flumes. The log flume was fun. Once you drop, it actually gave a score for your screaming down the hill. Sometimes the empty boats would score due to people near the drop talking. Best themed Kiddie coaster? Laura seemed to think so. Family Banana Coaster Of course we all rode it and many of the locals were looking at us like "what?" Classic Flat ride So in order to get our tickets for the rest of the day at Cosmoworld. We had to stay inside the cold for a few minutes. They actually kept the door shut on us. Its a TPR tradition. Laura is like " The cold never bothered me anyway" I on the other hand don't care for the cold as much. This was a shooting dark ride similar to some of the others we rode previously. Except in 3-D of course. I'm just a Haunted dark ride in a cage I can't believe it's already been 3 months since we've been. I need to finish this TR before our next trip, Not sure why I thought this was funny My face is scarier I can't remember what we did in here but we won some free stuff at the end. So this haunted house walk through had three areas that got scarier as you went. If you go all the way, you win some freebies. Won from walking all the way through the haunted house And these furry things we also won I also won some stuffed animals at the arcade. My nieces were happy with all the free stuff. Some shots from the Ferris wheel. Compact area Nice view from up here. I loved how they had the stuffed mascot sitting at the information desk. Time for Seaside Park Big drop tower So we only rode Blue Fall once. It's fun and I wish would of rode it more. It's very tall Every park in Japan has one. Great, fun coaster No clue what the trains were before but supposedly there way better Another TOGO that was fun Airtime moment The rain was hitting us pretty good while on the ride but we all rode several times Boats with dolphins. This was a super cool idea. So you get a boat that's motorized. You have a time limit to go out and see the Dolphins swim nearby. Sea Paradise has some nice aquariums as well. The dolphin exhibit was nice Lots of fish And of course the Ocean Sunfish which was a highlight for some or mainly one. I found Dory. As always thanks for reading. Next update: Taco Bell? , Joypolis and first night at Tokyo Disney Resort. -

Before the trip, Laura and I went back and forth on going to Fuji-Q. Even up to the day, I was still hesitant due to the stories I've heard. We woke up early with the few others brave enough to go. We arrived right at park opening. Robb and Elissa gave us great advice. Mainly get there early, rush to your first ride, and get front of the line passes by the carousel before they sell out. So just how did our day go? Actually really good. Laura, Yin and I rushed to Dodonpa then I noticed Takabisha had a short line of only maybe 10. So we rode that, knocking out two of the big coasters in no time. We went to carousel and bought two front of the line passes. One for Eejanaika and Fujiyama. We started to ride the other coasters at the park while waiting for our time to ride those two. We were able to do all the coasters by noon. If it was just luck, I'll take it. The operations are bad and it rained for a while on us but overall our visit to the park was "tolerable". Before we get to the photos, a few notes on the big coasters: Dodonpa - Holy crap that launch is amazing. The rest of the ride rattle a little for me but that front row launch is worth it. Takabisha - I liked the first half more than the big drop. Maybe because the first half was a surprise to me. Eejanaika - This was a wild ride. I think its better than X2. Fujiyama - This was the biggest surprise coaster for me on the trip. Yes, its a TOGO but its got some serious airtime. I loved it. I really enjoyed Fujiyama. Here we are at Fuji-Q Fact - My birthday is July 8th. Hello there Takabisha Does Eejanaika translate to ejection seat? Crazy ride Who wants to ride with Yin? Wild Mouse coaster I heart you Fujiyama. The park was smaller then I though it would be. S&S Tower This was a unique coaster Its short but gives you a nice view of the bigger coasters. I was SHOCKED by how great this dark ride was. Screw the coasters. Best ride at Fuji-Q. The kid area was themed nicely. Kiddie coaster Hi Ladies Money cats? Laura and Yin preparing to get soaked. I didn't want to walk around all day in wet socks. Laura and Yin getting soaked. These cats are supposed to bring you wealth and luck. At least I think? Burnt my popcorn, yuck. That launch though.. Trying to get artsy. I always enjoy a giant Frisbee. Part of a anime attraction at the park. Random stairs and Takabisha So in this, you were put into a pitch black room with headphones. It was supposed to be scary but we had no idea what was happening. It was a weird ride with a crazy story as to why we are flying over Mt. Fuji This was like a cheap version of Soarin' but over Mt. Fuji, It wasn't bad. I can't remember what this was from. Maybe the outside of the Soarin over Mt. Fuji ride. Laura and Yin in front row of Dodonpa. Laura and I waiting to ride Fujiyama in the rain. Yay, rain stopped. Time to run to Dodonpa Glad we made it, they closed the line off after us. Well no wonder why its always closed. If anything, just come ride this for the awesome launch. Mt. Fuji from the bus. Thanks for reading and our next update: Cosmoworld and Sea Paradise -
Great TR. Some great decorations for Halloween.

I'm really bummed I missed WCB this year. Looks like a great day was had.
