  1. An absolutely stunning development. How could this be?
  2. I love me some Iron Wolf...even if it means a Macaulay Culkin movie. *preemptive eye roll at forthcoming comparisons of Iron Wolf to a plane crash*
  3. Can't go wrong with a HUSS Giant Frisbee, I think I preferred Delirium, though. Could be because I've only ever been on Maxair in October (when I usually visit CP), and had several layers on, in addition to cold/wind/rain. Doubt the program varies much...
  4. It's a smooth ride, but uneventful in terms of forces. It looks cool, though.
  5. A shoot-em-up dark ride themed to the quad laser, for instance, would be the end-all be-all of interactive dark rides. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNYMxgNKIEU
  6. I personally love them. For me, nothing Disney has done holds a candle to Looney Tunes*. A Bugs Bunny cartoon I've seen a hundred times over the years can still crack me up. I'm 29 and probably not Six Flags' target audience, though. I'm not going to say I'd stop going to Six Flags parks if they dropped them, because I go for their coasters to begin with; but I'd enjoy it less- and that's even before taking into account that the void would likely be filled be even more of the crap and commercials that are already far too abundant at Six Flags parks. *Disney is massive nowadays, there are things that are Disney that I'm probably not even aware of. I mean the "core", traditional Disney brands.
  7. I know that if I'm waiting in a line with TVs there is noticeable relief amongst most people when a Looney Tunes cartoon mercifully puts a temporary stop to the otherwise brutal programming of "Six Flags TV". Those music videos are an obvious and clever scheme to steer people towards Flash Pass.
  8. Glad to see Six Flags Marketing get the Universal gig too.
  9. Ask them if they like riding coasters, if they've been to Kings Island recently, and then see if they want to come along.
  10. Happy and relieved that it's not another inversion on a wooden coaster. Just as glad about the Voyage upkeep as I am about the double down.
  11. I would too, if that meant that it was moving closer to me. If not, Dueling Dragons/Dragon Challenge > Harry Potter. Now and forever. I'll hit up a library or a Redbox if I want to immerse myself in the world of Harry Potter.
  12. I wouldn't be surprised to see this thing taking riders by late April.
  13. I kindly saved their time and resources for them.
  14. The place is so good, I wouldn't even care if they threw mean-spirited Yo Momma jokes at me the entire time I was in line and dining in.
  15. Great stuff. Antarctica is probably the one place in the world I would like to visit most.
  16. From the article: Bless their hearts for going with the Wing Coaster rather than a Flyer. But just imagine thunderbird's launch in the Flying position, into a pretzel loop. I am. I get the feeling that it might suck if you're a dude (the launch).
  17. From the article: Bless their hearts for going with the Wing Coaster rather than a Flyer.
  18. No kidding- but talk about a clusterf... I'm getting a headache just looking at this concept art. Pretty impressive.
  19. I've always had a soft spot for Raging Bull's logo. It's probably home-park bias to an extent. Would have been nice if they had kept the cartoon bull over the queue entrance- not sure why they go rid of it. My guess is that it had unacceptable levels of uniquity for a Six Flags park. At least they didn't just slap a Red Bull logo in it's place. Eventually, they probably will. Also a fan of the Millennium Force logo. Simple, yet effective.
  20. Same, it blows my mind that anyone would answer this question with anything other than a stand-up. Even if you find another coaster boring, I'd rather be bored for 2 minutes than in pain for 2 minutes. Off the top of my head, there are probably a dozen other B&M coasters (of those that I've been on) that make the cut before I get to the first Stand Up.
  21. Superman Ultimate Flight. Gatesleeper and Led Zeppelin are distant runners-up; they're nothing to write home about, either.
  22. You could probably build a pretty sweet bathroom on the land that Half Pipe (Elitch Gardens) is wasting.
  23. Is that what Michigan's Adventure is getting for 2016? Sometime in the distant future, when Valravn moves on to Dorney as Valthundrhwk, maybe then Michigan's Adventure can get this pole.
  24. I wonder what this could be. My completely wild, moonshot guess (same guess as for Hulk v2.0) is they're somehow incorporating VR onto the ride. I don't know that Alton would just wing it and go the Six Flags route (new coat of paint, slap speakers onto the trains, throw in some fire) and marketing it as something new. On the other hand, they're no stranger to questionable marketing, either. Whatever it is, there aren't too many ways you could actually make a B&M Flyer more meh. Ideally, they'd rip it out and build a Nemesis clone in it's place, because two is better than one.
  25. I'm curious if since Gatekeeper is so visible and is the focal point of the main gate if CP will keep up on its paint job more frequently than most of its coasters and rides? Hopefully. Apart from capacity, Gatekeeper's looks are the only thing it has going for it (to me, at least). It's a truly great-looking POS.
